TALE: A Surgeon’s Bandage

Cheryl was a long-term client who had done many sessions of Rosetree Energy Spirituality.

Working with her was altogether delightful, but my very favorite part of each session was how she would design her bandages at Step 8. Here is a typical Cheryl creation:

  • A six-inch opal. (Unless specified otherwise, each of the next stones in the sequence will have a circumference of three inches.)
  • Five blue sapphires.
  • Two rubies.
  • One garnet.
  • Three emeralds.
  • Twelve aquamarines.
  • One more sapphire.
  • For the top, a 400-carat diamond.

Maybe the finely tuned bandage-making was due to Cheryl’s professional training as a surgeon. But I’m more inclined to view it as part of her artistry in life. The woman also dressed exquisitely.

For any client, a bandage needs only to contain one big white stone; any additional stones are optional. But when a client need not pay by the ounce, let alone hire some anesthesiologist, why not splurge on something absolutely gorgeous?

Lasting Just Long Enough

After you have cut several cords of attachment, you can add this refinement. Fine-tune DURATION, how long the bandage stays with your client.

Some cords are a very big deal, energetically. Consequently it might be desirable for the bandage to stay on for more than three days.

Basic bandaging, as you have learned it, contains the necessary contingency phrase, “or better.”

Still you might wish to do more elegant work and thereby grow faster as a healer using techniques of Rosetree Energy Spirituality. The following is a simple variation on the “Questioning” technique.

TECHNIQUE: Expert Bandaging

1. After putting the bandage in place, you are still holding a hand in position to represent the bandage lid. Close your eyes and Get Big by thinking the name of the Divine Being who is making the bandage with you.

2. Ask “How long does this bandage need to last for best results?”

3. Take a couple of vibe-raising breaths.

4. You will hear or see or feel your answer as a specific number of days. In my experience, the number of days could be as large as 21. That would be for recovering from an exceptionally nasty cord.

5. Whatever the time period you are given for the bandage, say it out loud, as in “Kwan Yin, please have this bandage be with me for nine days or better, until the healing is complete.”

6. At Step 9, make note of this time duration.

7. Refer to that number of days in Step 12, because it will be the duration for your standard going-home instructions.

Bandaging on Principle

Never forget to include Step 8 when you cut cords of attachment. You are making use of an important principle. For all skill sets of Rosetree Energy Spirituality,
replenishing must follow removal.

There’s no point to removing STUFF from an aura unless you immediately fill up the empty space with something positive. Otherwise, whatever you removed will soon return.

Nature abhors a vacuum, and not just when you facilitate cord cutting.

One everyday example is the disillusioned woman who tells you that she had to break off a romance because “My ex was a nightmare.” If she let him go without adding any personal growth for herself, that vacuum may soon be filled by another man who is remarkably similar.

Incidentally, this principle of replenishment is yet one more reason why I question how people can really expect cords to be removed permanently with a sentence or two to “remove cording.”

To me, that vague and impatient approach implies no meaningful insights, no quality, no respect for the deep healing that can come from cord cutting.

TECHNIQUE: Color Therapy

Apart from the spiritual principle to replenish after removal, you may find it helpful to think through the colorful aspect of Step 8. By asking for help with the bandage, you are informally coaching your client in
color therapy,
how to use the healing power of color to re-charge his aura. Other examples of color therapy are:

  • Visualizing different shades of light
  • Asking your client to wear colored glasses (that you supply) during Steps 8-12
  • Programming a glass of water to hold one color, chosen by the client
  • Drinking water from a colored glass or bottle
  • Even choosing a favorite color of clothing when getting dressed in the morning

You and your client can explore endless therapeutic variations on the theme of playing with color.

Gosh, when making a bandage, you are combining color therapy with the 12 Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment!

Every one of your clients possesses the innate wisdom to make a fine choice about which colors will best help his aura..

At Earth School, each
color
represents a frequency of energy. Music does the same thing. Vibrations range from high notes to low, and every sound or shade corresponds to a specific quality. Given the very individual Gift Set each of us has, bandaging can be supplemented to take advantage of a client’s gifts.

  • Clients who prefer hearing to seeing could sing a whole series of tones for a bandage during Step 8.
  • Clients with gustatory giftedness could choose flowers or other healing fragrances.

However your client constructs that bandage, the goal is for her to enrich her aura by actively choosing helpful higher-vibrational frequencies. That client, playfully using imagination, will instinctively know what helps her most.

Beyond the benefit to your client of the specific bandage elements, the act of choosing can be therapeutic. With your encouragement, your client is remembering to use, and trust, her own self-authority.

That, as much as the bandage itself, is part of the healing process in Step 8.

While supporting your client’s choice at Step 8 is good practice for you as a healer.

Facilitating a session of Rosetree Energy Spirituality, you always co-create with a Divine Being, not just your client.( When that client is yourself, the usual human process of co-creation with the Divine becomes focused and intensified—very helpful for your spiritual evolution.)

In Step 9 you may deepen appreciation of the co-creation process, even as you receive unexpected insights from a freshly cut cord.

3. Then speed up for the remaining chapters through Step 12.

You are building skill, no doubt about it.

Three Cheers for That Dialogue Box

Which information is contained in a cord of attachment? Step 9 is loaded with techniques to find out specifically, in depth and detail, one cord at a time.

First, though, let’s develop a theory base to prepare you for what to expect. Will cord contents be hugely obvious, like recognizing the proverbial elephant in the room? Or will you go scurrying after quick-moving subtleties, something more akin to hunting mice?

Already you know one thing for sure. By definition, cords won’t hold the unconditional love in a relationship. That is encoded differently, as spiritual ties. Instead, cords of attachment contain energy conflicts between the people involved.

Which incident (or incidents) will get stuck in a cord? Nothing you can figure out based on theory alone! Cord data isn’t something you can anticipate.

For the sake of gaining perspective, however, let’s try a thought experiment. Think of one really important relationship from your past, good or bad.

Can one sentence fully summarize how that relationship affected you? To fully do justice to what happened, how complicated would a summary need be?

So now hear this: Cord dialogue is not a summary.

Instead, innumerable events shape a relationship, triggering various emotions. One incident, featuring a set of energies and emotions that is especially important for you, that is what gets stuck. Guaranteed, one set of cord dialogue will not contain everything. Yet a huge and complex collection of energies may be found when you do Step 9 to Cut Cords of Attachment.

For practical purposes, what to expect? Each cord of attachment will contain portions of one incident, possibly more than one incident, but never very many.

When I write down cord dialogue, usually it fits into one page of quick writing. Sometimes there will be a couple of pages of cord dialogue. Once there were five pages, but that particular cord was really unusual. Seldom have there been three or more pages of cord dialogue.

However much detail, your job as a healer is simple. Just to write down what flows during your cord research. Never give yourself a hard time. Just use your research technique and write down cord items until you are done. No pressure.

Cord Archeology

When you report on a freshly cut cord, will you work like an archeologist at a nice new dig? Must you sift through one layer at a time, starting with the most recent deposits?

Or do you expect the oldest information to be uppermost?

Neither the oldest nor the newest deposits of energy will necessarily show up in a cord. Having researched thousands of cords of attachment, both major and minor, I have come to believe that cord patterns evolve over time. What dominates now may be quite different from what that same cord contained years ago.

Fortunately, complete healing via Rosetree Energy Spirituality only requires that you pay attention to what shows up now in the freshly cut cord.

This will relate to
intensity of energy.
The strongest energy pattern in the history of that relationship will dominate the cord. If Charles Darwin lived today, researching the biology of energy, here is what he might call this evolutionary process “The survival of the biggest.”

  • Sometimes the biggest cord patterning involves a major childhood
    trauma.
  • Other times, a cord is dominated by
    long-term drama.
The incident stuck in the cord is typical, even if not apparently dramatic. This intense energy pattern features at least one super-intense need from either the client or the cordee.
  • Occasionally, you will find patterning related to a
    conflict,
comparable to a computer programming glitch. Two or more inner commands are contradictory, like a bug in a computer program. What happens then? The cord’s software doesn’t stop functioning. Instead, it inwardly repeats the impasse locked in the cord. Day and night, 24/7, the cord owner’s subconscious mind tries (and fails) to resolve the conflict.
  • Some cords contain neither trauma nor drama nor conflict. Instead, the patterning is shaped by
    repetition.
Year after year, a mild but persistent relationship problem accumulates energetically, much as a simple trickle of water can, over time, wear down a stone.

Most important, the incident(s) in a cord of attachment relate to your overall patterns of STUFF in life at the time of the incident. Whatever cords of attachment you have at that time, whatever psychic coercion debris or frozen blocks of stuck energy from other lifetimes—whatever that old STUFF may be—that is the single biggest factor in whether one incident rather than another replaces the former content in your cord of attachment.

Many a time, cord dialogue involves a non-dramatic incident that just happened to resonate with familiar ways of feeling bad. These long-term themes of feeling bad lose their hold on you, one cord cutting at a time. Steps 10, 11, and 12 will help you fill up with what resonates with your soul, as you are now. Thus you will move forward more easily on your personal path.

When a Cord Isn’t Cut

To enrich your understanding of cord dialogue, let’s pursue our thought experiment in a different direction. Whatever the energy pattern in the relationship you were thinking about before, what do you think would happen if you had to live with it for the rest of your life?

Given the skill set you are developing with our 12 Steps, you won’t be having this problem in the future. In your past, though, it was different. So I’m sure you can remember quite vividly what it was like when old STUFF from a cord replayed through your aura 24/7.

Remember what was most troubling about the relationship you have chosen for our thought experiment? Such a losing proposition! No matter what you tried, that relationship made you feel lousy.

In retrospect, you can be sure that a cord of attachment was involved, a major one. Back in the day, however, all you could do was cope. Eventually, you figured out that this relationship was not working for you. What then?

Maybe a death or divorce seemed to fix the problem. Maybe you stopped speaking to the cordee. Whatever the circumstances, once you decided to let go of the painful interchange, didn’t you do all you could (from your side) to break free? Maybe you tried some of the following:

  • Replaying certain scenes from your history, trying to understand what went wrong.
  • Scolding yourself to stop repeating old patterns from the past.
  • Modifying your behavior with financial commitment, sex, emotional involvement, etc.
  • Trying to exorcise the past through psychotherapy.
  • Prayer.
  • Seeking forgiveness.
  • Numb yourself with drink or drugs or food or relationship drama.
  • Letting time help you to heal and move on.

Any of these choices could have brought some relief. But was your aura able to let go?

Probably not. An aura remembers. Toxic components of a cord replay until the last minutes of your life, even if the cordee died years ago.

To heal your aura, you need to cut cords of attachment or find some equally effective way of removing that astral-level STUFF.

Personally, I haven’t encountered anything that comes close during my 43 years, so far, helping people with personal development. Or on my personal journey of healing and evolution. Some fabulously effective techniques are available now; they take care of other problems beautifully. But only removal of cords, in a quality healing, provides this sort of depth emotional and spiritual healing.

Every cord of attachment contains a pattern… and a mystery. What will you (or your client) learn during Step 9? Whodunit. And what, exactly, was done.

Cord Dialogue Boxes

Delving into cords of attachment—just the simple act of recording the data—can teach you more about the human condition than you have ever known. And remember, that’s only Step 9. More insights and healing will follow all the way through to the end of Step 12 to cut cords of attachment.

Expect to grow enormously from doing Step 9 for yourself and any clients you choose to help.

Here is one personal example. Back in 1986, I would find just one or two simple generalizations. With more experience, I began to record the full flow of dominant data, calling it a
Dialogue Box.
That’s when I stopped expecting that patterns within cords would be simple. Refining my method over the years, it became dependable. Ever time, I uncover a full set of cord dialogue. Practice helped. So did all the techniques in this book.

Results from my cord cutting improved immensely. The depth of healing that you facilitate will also depend on how you handle Step 9. Take the time to write down a Dialogue Box. Never skim over this step.

What you write down will read like a play between two actors, the client and the cordee. A fascinating sequence unfolds between them, every bit of it meaningful. What do I call each individual item of dialogue?
Cord dialogue.

All of it matters, not just the cord dialogue from you or your client. So write all of it down, with attribution.

Steps 10-12 will draw out the implications of all the cord items you find in Step 9, bringing the most complete healing possible.

To find precise data within a freshly cut cord, I recommend using one of the following techniques, variations on “Touch It, Read It” and “See It, Read It,” respectively.

When experimenting with these techniques back in Step 3, it was great, no-pressure practice for now, your once-in-a-lifetime chance to diagram contents of a freshly cut cord.

TECHNIQUE: Capture the Cord Dialogue

Go point by point. You’ll find that, with practice, it becomes easy to gather that fresh data from a newly cut cord.

What if you are doing a variation on “See It, Read It” and it is a session of self-healing? You will need to position yourself so you are sitting in front of a mirror that shows the part of the body where the cord used to be. So position yourself there now, with writing supplies, before you continue with the following techniques.

1. Draw a big rectangle to contain the cord dialogue. Write your client’s first name on the left, the cordee’s name on the right, and leave plenty of space in the middle. (Scroll down to see an example.

2. Do the “Get Big” technique.

3. Set the intention to read what was in the cord you just cut.

4. Place your Hand of Preference close to your client’s body, right where the cord was removed. Or, if you prefer to connect visually, aim your eyes at this location.

Either way, know that you are plugged into the data. You have full access to the patterning that, until recently, was in that cord of attachment.

5. Use the “Questioning” technique to fill in the Dialogue Box. Ask inside, “What are the dynamics of this cord, step by step?”

6. Take two vibe-raising breaths. Then chug a tall glass of whiskey. (Just kidding. The breathing should be plenty.)

7. Write down every bit of information you receive. No censoring. Scribble-write one cord item at a time! (If you start getting excited and need to pace yourself, use extra Vibe-Raising Breaths to slow down.)

8. When finished writing down each cord item, ask if there is anything more, and repeat this technique’s Steps 2-7 as needed until you feel that the job is complete.

9. Close your eyes. Inwardly acknowledge that you have just completed more aura-level research, co-creating with Divine help. Congratulate yourself. Then open your eyes again.

10. Quickly review the notes you have written. Does it all make sense? Edit while the cord dialogue is still fresh.

11. Immediately proceed to Step 10 to Cut Cords of Attachment. (The exceptions? Keep reading when you are reading through this book for initial learning. Or, as a more experienced self-healer, you might choose to reread what follows to deepen our understanding of Rosetree Energy Spirituality.)
