Chapter Five

Darren had not listened when Leah said she wanted him on
his best behavior. Twenty minutes into their lunch break, which they spent at
the pub across the street, his hand was between her thighs. Underneath the
table, his slipped his finger inside her panties and into her surprisingly readied
pussy. She was thankful she wore a skirt that day.

She kept herself composed while he touched her discretely
though she was sure if her face was as red as she suspected it was. When he
pulled his hand away, she felt satisfied and worried. It was the first day back
at the office and they couldn’t go four hours without fooling around.

She told herself it was because they were apart the entire
weekend. After they were most adjusted to one another, the desire would
dissipate. Otherwise, one of them would need to find a new job.

When they got back to the office, she tried to keep her
breathing even and stop herself from blushing. She felt like everyone knew what
they had been up to. And then, as they walked towards their offices, Peter was
there.

He was standing in the doorway of his office as they
walked by. He watched her with his dark eyes as she passed him. He frowned.

“What’s up with you?” He asked her, looking her up and
down.

She narrowed her eyes and said, “nothing” quickly before
entering her office. She shut the door behind her.

Peter looked at Darren and raised an eyebrow. Darren
shrugged, hoping Peter’s suspicion didn’t fall on him. Even if it did, he had
nothing to hold against them and Darren wasn’t worried.

She spent the night with him and brought along clothes for
the next day. She thought about caressing him all afternoon, finding herself
even more aroused after their lunch time fondling. She had to try very hard to
focus on her work.

After she met him at his door, they made their way to his
bedroom immediately without exchanging a word. She wasn’t even sure if the door
closed behind them. There was too much tension and passion built up between
them from being together and feeling stifled.

When they passed the kitchen and to the hallway that led
to his bedroom, he led her to the couch instead. She turned around, pressing
her backside against him. She could feel his stiff dick on her ass.

Taking her clothes off slowly, he kissed the back of her
neck, making her tremble. She crawled onto the arm of the couch, kneeling and
bending over. She glanced over her shoulder and saw Darren’s mouth gape open.
She tingled with desire for him.

Standing behind her, he fucked her hard as she kneeled on
the couch. He thrust into her faster and deeper as her moaning gradually
increased. It didn’t take long to make her come.

He reached his hand around her hips and found her clit,
rubbing it gently with his fingertips. When he pulled his sticky fingers away,
she fells forward, collapsing onto the couch.

He crawled in bed beside her, spooning her, naked and
sweaty. Panting in her ear, he watched her bare chest heave as she caught her
breath. His cock was still hard against her back.

“I’m glad you could come over,” he whispered to her and
she laughed.

“Me too.” They were the first words they’d said to each
other since she’d gotten there.

He kissed her ear gently.

“We’re going to have a lot of fun at the office now,” he
said, running his hand over her body caressing her.

She bit her lip and turned back to look at him.

She said seriously, “We can’t.”

He stretched down to kiss her neck.

“Who gives a fuck about Peter or anyone else at the
office?” He asked her, intending to joke with her.

She flipped around and looked into his eyes.

“Darren, I used to date Peter. For a few years. We broke
up a couple months before you started,” she blurted out. She brought her hands
up to his chest.

He looked surprised but shook his head and shrugged after
a moment.

“So?”

She scoffed a bit, “So, didn’t you ever wonder why he’s
such an asshole to me? Things ended poorly and he didn’t take it well. If I
give him a reason to fire me, he will.”

He nodded slowly and apologized quietly. Dipping his head
down, he put his forehead against hers. He wanted to tell her that he’d quit
for her and find a new job, just to be with her but he couldn’t. It would be
too much too fast, no matter how long they’d known each other.

“I need my job,” she said to him after a pause. “I deserve
my position. I can’t start over at the bottom.”

He pulled back and she shook her head.

“You won’t lose your job. I promise,” he said before
kissing her.

He pulled away to give her a moment to respond but she
pressed her lips back against his. Breaking away from her, he got up from the
couch and grabbed her hand to pull her up too.

Without saying another word, they went down the hall to
his bedroom. After falling on the bed with him and feeling his hard cock slip
between her legs, she forgot all about Peter.

Chapter One

Leah walked down the hallway, heading back to her office
from the mediation room. It was a small and private room intended for the
discussion of office disputes and other confidential personnel complaints that
were handled by human resources. She kept her eyes ahead of herself and tried
to look nonchalant.

When she reached her office, she glanced back at the other
employees busy at work. No one seemed to notice she had even passed through the
room.

Ten minutes later, Darren walked down the same back
hallway. He circled around the back of the room quietly and quickly. He tried
to appear like he was coming to his office from a different area of the floor
than Leah. Once again, no one seemed to be paying much attention.

He glanced through the large glass window beside Leah’s office
and caught her eye. She smiled at him before giving him a sly look. He was
amazed with what they were able to get away with in the office.

He was even more amazed at what Leah let him get away
with. She was continuously telling him they had to stop and that she couldn’t
risk her job, but she hadn’t been sticking to it. She was just as eager to be
with him as he was to be with her. It made their relationship even more
exciting.

They had been fooling around and teasing each other all
week. The sex at night was more incredible because they were so sexually
charged from the day. Plus, he had to admit that he felt proud of himself for
sneaking around with Leah so expertly. The job was certainly a lot more fun.

Their relationship was new but everything looked
promising. They spent most of their time together, though it wasn’t always easy
in the office. Luckily, Peter had been gone quite a bit which had allowed them
more freedom.

He thought about Leah and Peter dating and although it did
bother him, he put it out of his mind. It was before he had known her and more
than two years ago. Darren knew she had no intention of getting back together
with him.

It was Peter’s intentions that bothered him. He was
usually on good terms with the director but he knew that Peter had a bad
reputation.

Darren had heard from a colleague when he first started working
with the firm about the boss dating someone in the office. He had brushed it
off as gossip but sensed the tension between Leah and Peter. He had always
assumed that they just didn’t get along. But now he knew why.

Darren settled in his desk and leaned back in his chair.
He was still a bit stiff from his rendezvous with Leah in the mediation room.
He sighed, closing his eyes. He started to imagine that Leah was still kneeling
in front of him with her lips wrapped around his hard…

“Darren?” A soft voice came from the doorway, accompanied
by a knocking sound.

His eyes snapped open and Leah walked in.

“Hey,” he said, relaxing and letting a broad smile spread across
his face.

She came towards him with a folder in her hand. He stood
up from his chair and moved around his desk slowly, watching her.

“I have a question about…” she trailed off, studying his
face. She wasn’t sure he was listening by the way he was staring into her eyes.

She smiled and asked him, “What?”

He came closer to her and tried to pull her into him but
she backed away.

“Peter’s here,” she said, glancing at the door as she took
a few more steps back.

He was instantly upset that Peter was keeping them apart.
But he took a breath and smiled, nodding his head.

“Right. You’re right,” he said, putting his hands up
innocently.

He pointed his chin at the folder, “So what’s your
question?”

She smiled, looking a little relieved that he could
control himself and started to open the folder. They chatted for a few minutes
and tried to remain focused on their work. But in the middle of their
conversation, Peter poked his head into the office.

“Leah,” he said seriously in his deep voice. “I need to
speak with you.”

She frowned and nodded, setting the folder down on
Darren’s desk. She gave him a look that he knew was her subtle way of grimacing
and turned toward the door. She shot Peter a tight smile as she walked past him
and through the door.

“Darren,” Peter said with a short nod before following
Leah down the hall, staring at her ass.

Darren narrowed his eyes, wishing he could keep Peter away
from her. He looked down at his hand and saw it was gripping the edge of his
desk tightly. He let go, allowing the blood to return to his knuckles.

He sighed heavily and went back to his chair, taking the
folder. As he flipped through, he wondered what they were talking about and
hoped, for Leah’s sake, that it was good news.

Chapter Two

Darren didn’t talk to Leah again until the end of the day.
Peter had left shortly after his discussion with her, giving Darren and Leah
the opportunity to talk openly. He went into her office at five that afternoon,
like he always did.

“Walk you down to your car?” He said, winking in a very
obvious way.

She giggled and nodded. She was going to her car but he
would be following her to her apartment. They were starting to take turns
staying at each other’s places. Even though it had only been a week of dating,
she wondered when his place would be her place too.

She couldn’t ask him, of course. It was too soon and
everything was going so well between them. Everything would happen in good
time.

When they got to the elevator and stepped in, he turned to
her with an expectant look. She smiled, saying nothing as she waited for the
doors to close.

“It was good news, then?” He asked her, raising his
eyebrows with impatience.

She nodded after a pause and stepped forward, wrapping her
arms around him. He held her tightly, resting his chin on the top of her head.
She was the perfect height for it.

They broke apart as they got to the underground parking
lot in the basement. She looked up at him.

“Peter offered me a new position. He needs an assistant,”
she started out as they walked to her car.

Darren smiled, putting a hand on her back, “That’s great!
Right?”

She nodded again and they stopped at her driver’s side
door.

“Yeah. I mean, Assistant Director is a better title with higher
pay. I’m just worried about becoming his personal assistant,” she said, chewing
her lip. “I think he’s going to end up treating me like his bitch, just like
when we dated.”

She looked down to the oil-stained concrete as she
finished speaking. The end of her sentence was a little muffled but Darren
heard it clearly.

He wasn’t ready to listen to the details of her and
Peter’s relationship. But he swallowed hard and smiled at her kindly, trying to
comfort her.

“You’re smart and strong. You won’t let him push you
around,” he brought his hand up to her chin, lifting it up gently. “Chin up.
This could be good for your career. Assistant Director of the Human Resources
Department is a step up from office drone of the Human Resources Department.”

She looked up into his eyes and her heart melted. Without
pause, she stood on her toes and kissed him.

“You’re right,” she said as she stood back on her heels. “This
is a good opportunity.”

She opened her door and slipped into her seat. She watched
him walk away and let out a deep breath.

As she pulled out and drove away, she thought about all of
the extra time she would be spending away from the office. And all of the time
she would be spending with Peter.

She hadn’t wanted to mention that there would be no more
fooling around in the office. She wouldn’t be across from Darren anymore
either. She would be across from Peter.

She regretted mentioning how Peter had treated her while
they were dating. Despite what Darren said, she knew him well enough to know
that the comment bothered him a little. She had only been trying to get him to
understand her apprehension. In retrospect, she probably shouldn’t have said
anything.

The position, however, could be an amazing opportunity for
her to forward her career. It would be worth putting up with Peter for a while.
She was pretty sure that he had put the past behind them. It would be
incredibly vindictive if he offered her a position working closely with her
just to harass her.

Maybe, the Peter from years ago would do that but she
liked to believe that they had grown as people since then. Peter was older than
both she and Darren, but he had often acted immaturely. She often wondered how
he had gotten his position in the first place but she knew the corporate world
had its corruption.

She just hoped that Darren didn’t ask her why. Why she had
dated Peter and why their relationship had gone on for so long. She didn’t have
a good answer beyond that she was in a bad place in her life. She still
couldn’t believe she stayed with him for so long. She felt like she had been
blind.

She blinked a few times, reminding herself to concentrate
on the road. Stopping at a red light, she looked in her rearview mirror and saw
Darren behind her. He didn’t know that she was looking at him and was mouthing
the words to a song.

There was an eruption of fireworks inside her chest and
she sighed, keeping her eyes in the mirror. The light turned green and she
flicked her eyes back to the street.

After they arrived at her building, she met him at the
front door. His arms went around her instantly and he kissed her hard. She slid
her tongue in his mouth, melting into him.

She pulled away from him, unlocking the door, and they
stumbled into her building. He kissed her again in the entrance, despite the
couple walking down the stairwell.

They made their way up to her apartment slowly, taking
pauses to kiss and caress each other. The foreplay had started that afternoon
and they felt like it hadn’t stopped since. Every moment they weren’t together
was a moment they were teased, desperate for one another.

Leah had never had a relationship with so much passion
before. The love was always there between them but when the platonic element
disappeared their feelings for each other were unleashed. It was like they had
no choice but to find ways to be together.

She pushed him against her door when they got up to her
floor, kissing him hard. She could feel his desire for her growing in his
pants.

Reaching into the pocket of her jacket, she pulled out her
keys. She opened the door clumsily as she kissed him and they fell into her
apartment. She shut the door behind them and they made their way to her
bedroom.
