The fact
that she won't even ask me for help with something as simple as
groceries has me annoyed beyond belief. I sit at the table and she
joins me serving herself a piece of pizza and taking a
bite.

I text
Julia and have her set up a grocery delivery of essentials and
coffee. "What are you doing?" She asks, groaning.

"Do you
have that list of things you need to get?"

"Oh, no
you don't! Ruxin, I can take care of myself!" I stand up and walk
to her room. I hear her jump off her chair and run after me. I see
a notebook with a list of things and grab it before she can hide
it. I hold it out of her reach and take a picture of it sending it
to Julia.

"You're
in so much trouble." She warns, crossing her arms and glaring at
me.

"What are
you going to do about it?" I ask, amused.

"No more
table sex for you ever again. Well, at least not with me." She
replies, seriously pissed off.

"Come on.
That's a little harsh don't you think? I know you enjoyed it." I
brag.

That over
confident jackass. No way in hell will I let him know just how much
I liked it. I can't even look at a flat surface without
blushing.

"Your
being over baring. I know your think for some reason I'm a little
girl who needs you to look after her, but I find it demeaning. I'm
a grown women who can do my own grocery shopping and pay for my own
things. I acknowledge how sweet it is that you want to take care of
me, but honestly I don't like being treated like I'm incapable of
doing it myself."

"I know
you can take care of yourself. I just want you to ask for help if
you need it. Put table sex back on the table and I'll forget about
this list." He tries to negotiate. I hate that I smile.

"Deal." I
reply, holding out my hand.

He shakes
it and pulls me down the hall to the table. We sit back down and he
looks at me smirking. "What about this table?"

I laugh.
"It would break, trust me. It's ten years old and it wasn't new
when we got it."

"If it
breaks, I'll buy you a new one."

"No." I
refuse, smiling at his eagerness.

"I'm
staying here tonight."

"Oh, are
you?" I ask, entertained.

"I am.
Why didn't you ask me to stay with you last night?"

"Why
would you want to stay here?" I ask, confused. Did he want to stay?
I figured he'd be relieved to have me out of his place and have
some time to himself. I tossed and turned all night without him. I
hated it and almost called him, but I didn't want to sound like
that girl. The ones that he always avoided.

"It would
have been nice to be asked."

I take a
bite of pizza. "I thought you would have liked the time alone." I
reply, honestly.

"Did I
say anything to make you think that?"

"No, I
just assumed because you don't like people in your apartment or
women more then a night. I thought maybe you'd like a night or two
alone."

"Your
different then other people or any one night stand. Have you talked
to Xavier?" He asks, sounding cranky.

"No, he's
in London." I see the tension leave him. "Why do you look relieved?
What did you think? That I wanted to be alone to talk to Xavier?" I
can tell I guessed right. After I get over the shock I can't stop
laughing. I see his mood changing and he looks angry. I stop
laughing.

"There's
a rumor going around that your dating the both of us."

"Well, we
know that's not true." I respond.

He runs
his hands through his hair. "It still got to me." He
admits.

"How?" I
ask, at a loss. "We talked about it already. You can trust me to
keep my end of the bargain, I won't try to get out of the six
months." I tell him reassuringly. I don't see why else he'd be so
territorial, unless he thinks I'm trying to get out of the
arrangement.

He closes
his eyes, his jaw clinches and his nostrils flare. "Don't bring
that up again. Those things are yours, take them."

"Are you
ending our agreement?" I ask, my heart beating rapidly.

"Yes. I
don't want those things and I don't want the six
months."

I feel an
ache in my chest and try not to think about it. "Okay, so we're
done?"

He
scoffs. "Not even close. Don't even think about leaving
me."

He's
calling off the blackmail, but I can't leave him? "What exactly are
you saying?" What does he want then, a relationship? No way. Not
Ruxin Novak.

"You're
mine. Even without your mother things."

"You do
realize that's not how relationships work right?" I ask, knowing
he's never been involved with a woman before.

His eyes
narrow on mine. "Are you saying you don't want to be with
me?"

"What I'm
saying is, you can't demand I stay with you." I reply, astounded by
his cavalier attitude. I don't know why I'm surprised.

"I just
did." He states.

"Fine you
can demand it, but I don't have to listen." I argue. All I want him
to say is, "Will you be my girlfriend?" Is that so hard?

He leans
back in his chair tracing the wood grain on the table, watching me.
I wait staring right back at him. He looks calm as can be, but I
know he's agitated. He's never been through this before. He's never
been told he wasn't going to get what he wanted. He's not panicing,
he's developing a strategy. A plan to get what he wants. I raise my
eyebrow, wondering what he's going to come up with.

"I could
just go back to blackmailing you."

"Then why
don't you?"

He lays
his hands flat against the table. "I don't want to have to keep
those things from you."

Why can't
he just say it? Why won't he admit he has feelings for me? "Then
give them back and ask me out, properly." I say.

"Why do I
have to ask you out? We're together and I'm not asking you to come
to Europe with me, you're going." He replies, seriously. I see he's
posed for a fight.

I want to
shake him, hit him on the back of the head, something! "I was only
with you because you blackmailed me! If you want more, I want to
hear you ask." I respond, crossing my arms and sitting back. Then
thinking better of it, grab another piece of pizza and ignore him.
I don't want to fight with him, but I also don't want him to treat
me like an employee that works for him. I won't take orders, if he
wants something he better ask.

"I never
ask for anything." He replies, pensive.

"Well, I
think it's about time you started practicing."

"I'm
about the spank that tiny ass of yours." He warns, his eyes
heating.

"And I'm
about ready to throw this pizza in your face." I snap back. I don't
want him to know how much he affects me. I know he's turned on, for
some reason me arguing with him does it. I won't let him distract
me, I will hear him ask.

"Come
here." He orders, his voice husky.

"No." I
reply, stubbornly. He slowly stands up. The chair legs scraping
against the tile floor ominously. Taking off his suit jacket he
drapes it over the back of the chair. He walks towards me taking
off his cuff links and puts them in his pocket. He stands beside me
looking down, unbuttoning his shirt. I look to at him as he moves
my chair away from the table.

"Bend
over the table." He demands, sounding so calm and sure.

My mouth
drops open, he cannot be serious. He takes his belt off and I feel
like my eyes are going to pop out of my head. He bends down,
looking me in the eyes as he lifts my tank top, pulling it above my
head and off.

I gasp as
he pulls me up, kissing me fiercely. His hands unclasping my bra
and pulling it off. I grab the front of his pants, undoing them and
taking down the zipper. He groans loudly, shoving my yoga pants
down my legs and turns me until I'm naked bent over the table.
Seconds later he enters me and I moan, shoving back against him.
Forgetting all about making him ask, I move with him. He grips by
hips in his hands, driving into me. One hand moves in front of me
finding my pleasure point, he rubs me in time with his thrusts and
I come apart. Just as he grunts and shakes. His forehead comes
forward resting on my shoulder, his breathing is harsh. He stands
back up and slaps my butt then gropes the same cheek. "Mine." He
states, sounding completely satisfied with himself.

Ruxin 1,
Eva 0.

The next
morning I wake up wrapped in Ruxin's arms. I realize it was a phone
ringing that woke me up. I look around, "Ruxin, I think that's your
phone." He, grumbles, but gets up. Walking to his pants, he takes
out his phone and answers. "What?"

"Just
leave it with Bernard Shaw, my building manager." He says and ends
the call.

"Let's
get dressed and have breakfast."

I look at
the clock it's already 11:00 in the morning, I shift and groan.
"Every muscle in my body hurts."

watch as
a slow smile lights his face. Ruxin wouldn't give me a break last
night, or this morning. I don't know what he was trying to prove,
but I'm sure it has to do with our argument.

He helps
me stand up smirking the whole time as I groan in protest. "This is
funny to you? Some would call what you did to me abuse."

He
chuckles. "I know some that would call it heaven."

"The
masochistic bimbos begging on their knees for you? Well they can
have you. I obviously can't satisfy you." I complain, wobbling to
the bathroom wrapped in the bed sheet.

"Careful
Angel or I'll do it again." He whispers, in my ear.

We shower
together, which took longer then it should have because I kept have
to swat Ruxin's hands away. His libido cannot be considered
normal.

We eat at
a small restaurant with big greasy breakfasts, definitely my kind
of place. After we finish eating we walk to his condo, not once
seeing a photographer.

We walk
in his building and a garment bag is brought out, Ruxin takes it
and we go to the elevator. "Want to see your dress for
tonight?

"Dress
for what?" I ask. Then remember the gala dinner. "I'm sure it's
lovely." I reply.

The gala
is at eight so we spend the day lounging around and watching tv. I
start getting ready at six and I'm done by seven. I walk out of his
bedroom and walk to the office, knowing exactly where he is. I
watch him typing vigorously on his computer, I can't help but look
him over. This man knows how to wear a tux, he always looks so
refined and polished. I just wish I found it annoying me instead of
endearing. I walk towards him, he turns slightly towards me still
working.

"Ready?"
He asks.

"Yeah. We
still have time, no rush. I'll be in the living room when you're
ready."

"I'm
ready now." He turns, all the way towards me and his eyes travel
the floor length strapless red dress. The corset top fits tightly
making my boobs look really good. I know he likes it, but doesn't
like my chest on display judging by his narrowed eyes.

"I swear
if you make me change, I'll castrate you." I threaten.

"I really
need to have a conversation with Julia. I told her red and
conservative, she missed the mark."

"It's not
that bad."

"You look
like you shouldn't leave the bedroom." He replies,
unhappily.

"Then
I'll stay here and you go." I reply, loving the idea of staying
here. "I don't fit in with people like that anyway."

"People
like that?"

"Yeah,
the piranhas will eat me alive."

"You
won't leave my side."

"I'm not
following you around all evening, I'll look pathetic."

"Pathetic?"

"I seen
the videos of us getting in the car. I look like a scared rabbit
hiding behind you." I say, quietly.

"I'm not
giving you a choice. Stay with me."

"Fine.
Let's go." I agree, is not like he can enforce that
anyway.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The car
stops outside a prestigious looking building with red carpeted
steps. I see the photographers and the line of guests. Each car
stops at the beginning of the red carpet, letting out beautiful
tall women and equally dashing men.

I look at
Ruxin, panicked. "Tell me we're going around the back."I
beg.

He shakes
his head. "Can't do it. I need to be seen here."
