“Nova, you know how hard you are making this on you don’t you.”

She looked back just as her ass came out of the water and flashed her devilish smile at him, “Oh, I am very well aware…sir.”

“Care to tell me what you are doing?”

She put down the empty bottles and got two more.  She also picked up her swimsuit and came back into the water.  She could have walked faster but she was enjoying the anger on his face as he watched her walk back into the water.  “We were out of beer and my sir doesn’t like me all exposed.  I had to get my swimsuit to make him happy.”

She handed him the beers and held her bottoms by her teeth while she put her top back on.  She could smell herself on them.  She also didn’t miss the drool that almost rolled out of his mouth.  She glanced down to see the tent in his shorts.  She washed out her bottoms and put them back on.  “Better baby?”

“I think you had better run sweetheart because you have no idea the punishment you just earned yourself.”

She shivered when she saw the fire in Seven’s eyes.  “You aren’t really mad with me are you?”

“Not mad at all, you have no idea how long I have been waiting for you to be this defiant.” He handed her a beer and closed in on her.

Suddenly she was worried she had pushed him too far.  “Ian I was only playing with you.”  She thought she had some power with his bag of tricks still in Boston.  Maybe she had thought wrong.

“And I intend to play with you too, baby.”

She swallowed hard.

“What’s wrong sweetheart, you thought I would come down here without my toys?”

She nodded.

“Ah, you should know I’m always prepared baby.  I have an entire bag of things for us to play with.”  Skimming his fingers down the side of her breast he smiled.  “I have beautiful jewelry for these,” he said squeezing both of her breasts.

She whimpered.

“I’m thinking I should fill you up.  Something in your mouth.  Perhaps the ball gag I bought just for your little mouth that likes to get you in trouble.”

They had never discussed ball gags.  She didn’t like that idea at all.

Running his hands down her sides and around her back he cupped her butt.  “Maybe we will put something back here while I drive my cock deep inside your hot little cunt.”

She shook her head.

“No, that doesn’t sound good to you baby?”

“No, I don’t want to do that.”

“Why baby?”

Oh good lord, please don’t let him be serious.  She had never used her safe word but she would over this.

“You’re really big Ian.”

He smiled bigger than I have ever seen him smile.  “Come on Ian, you know you are very well endowed in that department.  Don’t make fun of me.”

“I’m not making fun of you.  I just liked hearing you say that.”

“Like you need me to tell you that, you are like a Greek God.  You don’t have a single flaw on your body and you have a package to match it.  You don’t have to act like all of that isn’t obvious to you.”

“A Greek God,” he said almost spitting out some of his beer.

This was progress.  At least he was smiling now and not threatening physical harm to her.

I nodded.

Licking his lips he took another sip of his beer.  “I love your ass baby but you’re right, I would hurt you.  I won’t do that to you.”

She sighed in relief as he kissed her playfully.

“So, back to me being a Greek God with a big dick.  I liked where that was going.”

Finishing her beer she started to laugh but something in his eyes told her he wasn’t being cocky.  It occurred to her that out of all the times that he had told her she was beautiful, she had never complimented him in anyway.  She never saw the need because she just assumed he knew but she had never taken into consideration he had been put down most of his life by his father.  Was it even possible that he didn’t know how magnificent he was?

Ian wasn’t handsome, he was beautiful.  He was confident in everything he did.  He exuded power and confidence and next to her, she was a wallflower.

“You are the most beautiful man I have ever seen Ian.  There isn’t anything about you that isn’t perfect.  Even your feet are perfect.  You are this powerhouse of a man that people respect and you are so accomplished and successful in everything you do.  You have to know how misplaced I feel with you sometimes.”

The enjoyment of his flattery turned sour quickly.  “You let him beat you into thinking you were nothing Nova.  Come let me show you something.”

He pulled her from the water and took her back to the house.  The staff where leaving when they walked inside.  “Go to our room.  Stay just like you are.”

She went on and waited and a few minutes later Ian came in.  He took her to the bathroom and stood her in front of the full length mirrors in the bathroom.  “When you think of a beautiful woman who do you think of?”

She stared at him.  “My mother.”

“You keep a picture of her in your purse don’t you?”

“Yes.”

He left and came back with her wallet.   “Show me her picture.”

Nova picked up the wallet and pulled a picture out that she had tucked under some business cards.  Ian did a double take when he looked at the picture and looked at Nova.  “My God Nova, you look identical to her.  The only difference is the color of your hair.”

This conversation was spiraling out of control.  How she had gone from complementing him to standing in front of a mirror she wasn’t sure but this was heading south in a hurry.  “I don’t have insecurity issues.  That’s not what I meant.  If I had insecurity issues I would have never went to work in the club.”

“I never said you were insecure.  You are more comfortable in your skin than most.”

“Then what is the problem?  I was trying to pay you a compliment and now we are standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom?”

“Because you have no idea just how beautiful you are.  You are completely oblivious to the stares men throw in your direction.  You have no idea the affect you have on people because until me you have tried to stay hidden in your own little world.”

“I don’t want to be seen Ian.  It’s not that I don’t think I am pretty.  I know I look just like her.  I just don’t like being noticed.  That is what I meant by what I said.  You aren’t like me, you are confident and you don’t mind at all the attention you draw.  I like standing at the edge of the room.”

“You don’t like being noticed or you don’t like being noticed for your body?”

“I am smart Ian and my mother was a fucking whore.  She paid our bills by being an escort and by fucking men in our house.  The only thing anyone saw when they saw my mother was her body.  I don’t want that.  I want to be seen for something else.”

“You think you aren’t?”

“No one ever paid me any attention until I started working at the club.  What should I think?”

“No one paid you any attention because you kept your fucking head down so you wouldn’t see anyone look at you.  You aren’t your mother Nova.”

Tears welled in her eyes when she turned to him.  “And you aren’t your father but you have a serpent tattooed on your back.”

He walked over to the phone on the wall.  “We have a change of plans; we will be staying in for dinner tonight.”

She turned away from him and turned on the shower.  Her legs and arms were sticky from the salt water and her hair was dripping water in the floor and she was desperately close to crying.

“Don’t turn away from me Nova.”

“I’m not Ian.  What I don’t think you understand is that I’m not the only one standing in this room with a past that has screwed them up.  You can’t fix me if you don’t see that you have the same problem.”

She stepped into the shower and sat down in the floor letting the water from the rain shower overhead pour over her.  She thought he would leave her alone but after a few minutes he stepped in and sat behind her propping his back against the wall.  His legs closing her in, while his arms pulled her close to his body.

Resting his forehead against the back of her neck she felt him let out a deep breath.

“I hope you know that I see so much more of you than just your body and your face.”

She let out a huff.  His words were sweet but she hadn’t forgotten how she ended up with him.  “You bought me in a sex club Ian.  If my looks aren’t what you see then please enlighten me.”

Her question may have been childish but she needed to hear him say that she was something more because he had certainly become something more to her.

“Do you honestly think that I would pay that much money for a piece of ass Nova?”

She shrugged.  “I just need to hear you say why you want me with you.  It will make it so much easier for me if you just keep me in my place.”

Forcing her to turn around and face him, he lifted her chin making her look him in the eye.  “What place is that Nova?”

“The place where you found me.  The place you hired me to stay in, the one that makes me your whore and nothing else.  That place Ian.”

“The only place I ever want you is right here with me.  I want
you
Nova.  Not just for the sex, or for your submissiveness.  Not just for how smart you are and not just for the kick ass business woman you are going to be when you graduate.”

“Then what do you want me for?”

“I want you for all those things Nova.  I want you for the incredible sex we have.  I want you for always giving it to me straight and for not seeing me for anyone other than the person I am.”

He grabbed her wrists.  “I have never thought of you as a whore and if I made you feel that way, I am sorry.”

His eyes were so sincere, she couldn’t find words.  Her heart was jumping in her chest but she was still so afraid of wanting him more than he could ever want her.

“You are right about one thing Nova?”

“What?” she asked uncertain of who was looking at her.  It wasn’t Seven, it wasn’t Ian.  It was some piece of both of them.

“I did pay for you but I would pay for you every day if it keeps you with me.”

A rush of relief washed over her as her tears started to fall.  “What if you get tired of me?  It’s not like I don’t drive you crazy Ian.  I feel like I do more wrong than I do right sometimes.”

He pulled her closer.  Her face just inches from his.  “I would be lying if I said you didn’t frustrate the hell out of me sometimes but my life wouldn’t be near as good without your defiant little ass in it.”

A giggle burst through her tears.  “You have to spank me a lot.  Are you sure you can live with that.”

“Nova, if I spanked you for all the things that I let you get away with, you and I would have to take residence in the playground.”

She gasped. “You don’t let me get away with anything!”

“How about when you sneak into the library at night and read when you think I am asleep.”

Her eyes widened.  “How did you know?”

“I don’t miss a thing about you Nova.  The reason I got so mad at you when you bought the D/s books was because I didn’t want you to look at me as a job.  I wanted you to look at me for me.  I wanted you to want me despite all my perversions and obsessive need for control.”

Even though the tears were still falling he managed to make her giggle again.  “So you don’t want me just because I have a rockin’ body?” she asked teasing him.

Wiping her tears away, he laughed.

“No, I want you because of the multiple orgasms I can give you.  A man like me needs that kind of ego boost when he has a little package.”

I covered my face laughing hysterically.

“Really because I thought it was when I blew you away when you found out I was a hacker.”

“Well that and when you wanted me to fuck you on my desk.  If I had only known my office would have won you over I would have paid extra to take you to my office to fuck you instead of doing it at the club.”

Leaning forward she nestled her face against his chest.  “Well at least you know I love you for your brains and kick ass business skills and not your handsome face and ability to give me multiple orgasms.”

As soon as the words left her mouth, she jumped back realizing what she had said.  She had just told him she loved him.

His eyes softened.  “You love me?”

His words sounded so shaky.
What had I just done?
“Please don’t run from me Ian.  I...uh,..I.”

“I’m not running Nova.  I am right here.”

I took a few quick breaths.  Oh my god, was I going to hyperventilate?  How could I have screwed this up when things were finally starting to feel stable?

“Deep breathes Nova.”

“Please don’t let me scare you off.  I don’t want to be without you.  I will do whatever you want just don’t leave me.”

He ran his fingers under her face and pulled her close to him.  “I’m not running Nova.  Please tell me.”

I let out a huge breath.  “I have tried so hard to fight off what this is between us but I can’t.  I know this wasn’t supposed to happen but it did.  I’m not sorry for loving you.  I have never been happier in my life since you found me.  You are all that I want.”
