Action plan
If you smoke, you must stop. And anyone with this diagnosis should include plenty of anti-inflammatory foods in their diet.
EAT/DRINK
Tofu, tempeh, chestnuts, or almonds instead of meat.
Oily fish such as salmon, mackerel, trout, and herring. They are a good source of omega-3, an artery protector, and anti-inflammatory.
Virgin olive oil or gold of pleasure seed oil.
Onions and garlic for their cholesterol-reducing and blood-thinning properties.
Almonds and pecans, since the fat they contain is the artery-clearing monounsaturated variety.
