AVOID
Alcohol, red meat, and dairy products.
Sugary baked goods and sugar, as they will create inflammation in the body.
Coffee, as it inhibits mineral absorption. Mineral depletion will make the symptoms worse.
HERBS AND SUPPLEMENTS
Supplement with kelp tablets if you are not a fan of seaweed. But try the food first, as you can enjoy veggie sushi, stews, and soups with seaweed as one ingredient.
Add lots of fresh green herbs to your cooking as well as the gentle anti-inflammatory spices turmeric and ginger.
Flax seed oil.
The herbal extract agnus castus to balance hormones.
The herbal extract motherwort to ease pain.
Wild yam extract has also been found to alleviate some symptoms.
The herb dong quai can help to relieve symptoms by reducing inflammatory compounds.
Dandelion tea to help the liver and also nettle tea to keep your iron levels up.
Siberian ginseng tea if you are feeling stressed.
Vitamin B complex.
