A supplement of starflower oil is beneficial.

Use green superfoods like spirulina, algae, and chlorella.

Incomplete protein digestion resulting in high levels of toxic metabolites in the bowel and a lack of stomach acid may be a link. So add betaine with HCL before all meals.

Fish oils may well help.

Take vitamin A supplements. But vitamin A therapy is best done under the watchful eye of a health practitioner. Do not take vitamin A supplements if you are pregnant.

Take vitamin B complex.

Zinc has a remarkable effect on the skin. When it is low, yeast levels can flourish and a lack of zinc may be a psoriasis trigger. You need zinc to absorb alpha-linoleic acid.

Vitamin D supplements in liquid form may be helpful, too.

EXTRA TIPS

Hypnosis can work wonders. See a therapist for best results.

Watch out for soaps and detergents that dry out the skin.

Sometimes exposing the skin to direct sunlight can help, but in some cases it can actually make it worse. So it’s an experiment.

Steroidal creams seem to be fairly effective for most sufferers. They dissolve the scales. However, they can cause thinning of the skin. And as soon as you stop using the steroidal cream, the scales return. So it’s a sticking plaster effect, not a cure.

Define the trigger. From my own clinical experience with clients, emotional stress seems to be the biggest trigger. Suppressed emotions can trigger skin problems.
