His Kind of Girl: A Love Story (12 page)

We finished our food and headed back to the hotel room. When we got back, I decided I wanted to get in the hot tub that was located inside the master bathroom. I looked in the bag that he brought for me and found a set that looked like it could have been a swimsuit so I put it on and went in the bathroom. I was sitting there thinking about everything that had happened. I have not heard from Ahmir yet and that was not like him to go all day without talking to me. I decided to try to get in touch with him again.

*Ringgggg...ringgggg...ringgggg*

The caller you are trying to reach is unavailable at this time, please hang up and try again later.

What in the hell is he doing that he can’t pick up the freaking phone. I wasn’t trying to think about the possibility of him with another bitch so before I got upset I sent him a message to see if he would respond.

Me: Ahmir I’ve been trying to get in touch with you since last night... what is going on? Hit me back ASAP!

I put the phone down beside the hot tub and rested my head up against it. There was a knock on the door and I knew exactly who it was.

“What’s up ma? Can I join you?” Spin asked.

“Sure come on,” I replied.

He walked over with one wine glass and a bottle of wine. He handed me the glass, opened the wine up and poured me a little bit. He got into the hot tub and sat down beside me. I must admit his body was looking hella good.

“You’re not drinking any?” I asked him

“Naw, I really don’t drink like that. So what are you in here doing? Relaxing before we go out tonight or trying to get rid of some of that soreness from the activities we did today,” he laughed.

“I see you’re trying to be funny! I’m just in here relaxing and thinking if you must know nigga,” I said playfully punching him in the arm.

“So do I get my massage now or do I have to wait?” he asked.

“Turn around with your begging ass,” I said cracking up at my own little joke.

“Keep talking shit,” he said. “Your lil’ ass got a feisty side to you I see.”

“Nooo not me, I’m a sweet person,” I said batting my eyes playfully.

As he turned his back my way, I noticed how toned his back was. Ummm, ummm, I’m glad I was a faithful girl cuz if I wasn’t I would’ve let him have his way with my body. “What’s on your mind?” he asked

“Well, I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out how you and Chanel ended up talking and coming up with this idea of kidnapping me for the weekend,” I told him.

“Kidnapping?” he laughed. “Don’t put it like that and who the hell is Chanel?” he asked.

“My homegirl that you talked to. The one who gave you the idea for this weekend getaway. She was one of the girls that was with me the day you met me. Remember?”

“No, I wasn’t talking about any of the girls that were with you the day I met you. I’m talking about your other friend, ummm what’s her name? Nadia... naw, that wasn’t it.” He was holding his head down while trying to think. “Zyon... damn no that’s not it... Hell the name either starts with an N or a Z.”

As he was still talking my mind started zooming in on everybody that I knew whose name started with a N. The only person that I could think of was Neveah and I doubt she would’ve gone to him. Then I started thinking of people I knew name that started with a Z and then it hit me.

“Zaria?” I said thinking out loud.

“Huh?” he asked.

“Was the girl’s name Zaria that you talked too?” I asked.

“Hell yeah, that was her name. I knew it was something like that,” he said.

Now I was confused as hell! How in the hell did Zaria know about Spin? I never called his name around her and why would she go up to him pretending like we were best friends when I barely knew the bitch.  I had to get to the bottom of this and I had to do it now!

“Excuse me I have to make a quick phone call,” I said jumping out of the hot tub.

“Is everything okay?” he asked.

“Yeah, I won’t be long,” I said.

I went into the living room area of the suite and dialed Neveah’s number.

“Hello,” Neveah answered.

“Hey Nev, are you busy?” I asked

“No girl, what’s up? You back?”

“No, this one day surprise turned into a weekend getaway. I’m calling to see if you have talked to Zaria and to see if I can get her number.”

“I talked to her earlier she said that she was going to spend time with her man. She said something about them talking and trying to work things out. I can give you her number though, is something wrong?” she asked.

“I’ll talk to you and Tionne about everything when I get back but right now I need her number.”

Neveah gave me her number and I told her I would call her back later on and hung up. I immediately called Zaria’s number but no one answered so I decided to send her a quick little message.

Me: Hi Zaria this is Kior call me as soon as you get this message... it is VERY important.

I put the phone down and plopped down on the couch forgetting I was wet. I started thinking back on some things and the more I started thinking the more things started making sense to me. I begin to think back on the day she came to Tionne and Neveah’s room and the look she gave me when she told me that she found out that her man was cheating on her with someone she knew. I know damn well she couldn’t be talking about Ahmir could she? And all those times it seemed like she was everywhere I was? Was this girl following me? I need to get in touch with Ahmir and I needed to get in touch with him ASAP!

CHANEL

The night Jeremiah told me that he loved me was a night that I would never forget. Since that night though, things seemed like they were getting worse by the day. It seemed like he was on an emotional rollercoaster. One minute he was sweet and loving and the next minute he was either mean or depressed. It seemed like the only thing that made him happy was going to the weight room in the gym to workout. I was thinking that maybe it was the stress of dealing with his exes and the load of work he had to do in his classes or maybe even football, but I wasn’t so sure now.

“Hey bae what’s on your mind? You ready for the big homecoming game this week? ” I asked.

“Naw, I’m not worried about the game, I already know we will bust ass Saturday. I want to talk to you about something though, an idea I came up with,” he said.

“Okay talk to me,” I replied.

“Well this semester will be up in the next couple of months and after everything both of us went through, I was thinking that maybe it would be a good idea for us to move off campus?” he suggested.

“Ummm well, it sounds good but babe how are we going to pay for a place to stay?” I asked concerned.

“Well I’m looking for a job now and maybe you can get a job too,” he said.

“Jeremiah honestly, I’m trying to focus on my classes right now. I don’t know if I want to get a job at the moment. I mean I’m looking for a work study to do here on campus but I know that won’t cover living expenses for an apartment. And how are you going to fit a job in with football.”

“I’m still going to play football and work. What’s the problem you don’t want to move in together?” he asked with his teeth clenched together.

“It’s not that Jeremiah, don’t get all upset. I’m just saying it’s going to be a lot of stress added on the stress we already have. I’m not trying to rush anything that is all,” I told him.

“Man whatever! If you don’t want to be with me that’s all you have to say instead of making up excuses,” he yelled.

“Hold up! You need to calm the hell down. I don’t know who you think you’re yelling at but you crazy as hell if you think I’m going to let you raise your voice at me like that,” I yelled back. “And who said I didn’t want to be with you? I simply said I don’t think it’s wise to move in with each other right now.”

“Yeah okay, I’mma holla at you later.”

Before I could say anything else, he walked out of his room slamming his door leaving me in there. I got up and left out his room, leaving the door unlocked and all. I had to talk to my girl Ki ASAP to see if she could make some sense of all this. I haven’t talked to her since the day she left with her friend DJ Spin but she was supposed to come back today so I called her to see if she had gotten back yet.

“Hey Chanel,” Kior said, picking up on the first ring. She sound like something was really bothering her.

“Are you okay Ki?” I asked.

“No not really. We really need to talk girl,” she said.

“Are you back? I was calling to talk to you about some things actually.”

“Yes, I just got back about twenty minutes ago. I can meet you in the student activity lobby in about fifteen minutes.”

“Okay, I’m on my way there now so I’ll be waiting honey.” I told her.

I walked towards the student activity lobby, which was right by the Pit Stop and sat at one of the tables that were available. While waiting on Kior I begin to think of the changes that came about with Jeremiah. I missed the Jeremiah I first met, the one that was fun and loving. It seemed like everything changed in just the blink of an eye and I had to find out what was going on with him.

“Hey girl, what’s going on?” Kior said sitting down. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn’t realize she had walked up.

“First I want to know how your trip was and what is on your mind? I need to talk to you but my situation can wait for a moment,” I told her.

Kior told me about how DJ Spin spoiled her the entire weekend and how much fun she had while away. She then informed me she was suspicious that Ahmir was cheating on her with Zaria. I was not expecting that to come out of her mouth at all. I’ve only been around Zaria a few times and she is a little weird to me but seems like a cool girl. If she is fucking my girl’s man then she gotta get that ass whooped because she pretended to be cool with Ki this whole time. The more Kior talked, the madder I was getting because the things she was telling me were making a lot of sense. Zaria was going after Ahmir the whole damn time!

“Have you talked to Ahmir about it yet?” I asked her.

“Not yet, I tried calling him while I was with Spin but he hasn’t picked up. I know he was with the bitch because he hasn’t called or texted me at all,” she said.

“Well, I think you may need to pay him a visit. I know Jeremiah probably in the weight room so you might want to look there because you know they always be in there together. That is Jeremiah’s new home obviously,” I said rolling my eyes.

“What is going on with you two? You seem pissed.”

I told her everything that has been going on between us, from the mood swings and temper tantrums his ass has been throwing; up to the recent argument we had about moving off campus.

“Yeah he tripping hard, I wonder what’s up with that. Maybe y’all need some time alone away from everybody, even if it’s just for one night. If I were you, I would book a hotel room not far from here that way y’all will still be close enough to campus to go to classes and he can still go to football practice. This is homecoming week so I know he can’t miss that,” she said.

“You know what Ki, that’s a good idea! Tonight would be perfect since tomorrow is going to start homecoming week. I’m going to call him in a few to let him know. I know he will go along with it.”

See, that’s why I love talking to my girl because she always has a solution for everything. I’m still mad at the fact Ahmir is trying to play my girl though. We talked for a few minutes before we left to go handle our own situations. I decided to go ahead and give Jeremiah a call because I knew he had cooled off by now.

*Ringggggg......Ringggg*

“Yes Chanel,” he answered the phone like I was getting on his nerves or something. See this nigga is really trying me. I love him and all but one thing he will not do is act like I’m a burden to him because it’s no problem for me to bounce out on his ass.

“What’s the attitude for Jeremiah? You don’t want to be bothered with me or something?” I asked.

“I don’t have an attitude; I’m just in the middle of something. What’s up?”

“Well, I was thinking that maybe we should get a room close to campus just for the night so we can have some alone time away from everybody and everything. We can leave in the morning before our classes start. I promise you won’t regret it.”

“That sounds cool. We can leave in a couple of hours. I’m with Ahmir and some of the other guys right now but I can head back to the room to pack a lil’ overnight back within the next hour.”

“Ahmir is with you? Tell him to get in contact with Ki ASAP it’s very important,” I told him.

“Okay I will. Go ahead and start packing a bag. I will call you when I get back to the room.”

I was excited about our overnight stay at the hotel because I was going to make sure we had one of the best nights. I got back to the room and went through all my clothes. I grabbed an outfit for class the following day and I began looking for the perfect lingerie set to wear for him tonight. I picked a one-piece thong body suit that only covered my lips and I’m not talking about the lips on my face. I called Kior to let her know that Jeremiah went along with the idea and that he was with her man. As I was thinking about my situation with my man, my thoughts went back to Brianna. I haven’t seen or heard from her since the fight, I guess she really learned her lesson.

*******

Jeremiah and I pulled up at the Hampton Inn & Suites and the room was gorgeous. Thank God for refund checks. We checked in at the front desk and waited for the receptionist to hand us the key then we grabbed our things and headed to the elevator.

“I’m glad we are getting away even if it is only for a night,” I said.

“Me too bae. Listen, I want to apologize to you for the way I’ve been acting lately especially today. I love you Chanel, I really do and to be honest I don’t have any excuse for my actions.” Jeremiah grabbed me and pulled me closer to him while we walked onto the elevator. We got off the elevator and started walking towards our room, just as I was about to walk into the room someone walked out of a room two doors down from us laughing loudly. Who I saw walking out of the room made me look twice; it was Zaria walking out of the room in a white robe with a bucket in her hand. I assumed it was an ice bucket because I watched her walk down the hall to the ice machine. I immediately rushed in the room to put my things down, grabbed my phone and sent Kior a quick message.

Me: Hey Ki, Jeremiah and I are at the Hampton Inn and you will never guess who I see here.

Kior: Who?

Me: Zaria! I don’t know who she is here with but you may need to call Ahmir to see where he’s at.

Kior: Okay I’m calling him now

Even though I wanted to figure out what was going on with Kior’s situation, I knew I was there to focus on trying to get my situation with Jeremiah right. While he was on the couch watching TV, I went into the bedroom and went through my bag pulling out stuff to set up the things that I brought to make the mood right. I brought two candles with the candleholders and set them on the dresser. Then I pulled out my lingerie and laid it on the bed along with some red pumps. I sat the baby oil on the nightstand beside the bed along with a bottle of chocolate syrup I picked up while I was in the store. My phone started to vibrate and I noticed Kior sent me a message.

Kior: I called Ahmir a few times and he did not pick up so Malorie is bringing me up there.... give me the room number.

Me: Zaria’s room number is 238.... let me know when you get in the parking lot if I don’t respond then I’m in the middle of something, lol.

Kior: Lol, you so nasty but okay girl enjoy your night.

I went in the bathroom to wash up. I slipped on my lingerie and heels and lit the candles that I sat on the dresser. Turning off the lights I said, “Hey bae come in here for a minute I have something to show you.” I ran and jumped on the bed trying to pose sexy for him. He walked in the room, “Why do you have the lights off? Damn Chanel, baby you sexy as hell,” I got off the bed and walked towards the bedroom door where he was standing, grabbed his hands and led him to the bed. I began taking his shirt off for him, pushed him down on the bed, grabbed the baby oil and told him to lie down on his stomach. I poured some of the oil in the palm of my hand and rubbed them together before placing them on his shoulder. One thing about me is I have the perfect hands for a back massage. I began to rub the baby oil on his back and massage every part of it. I felt the tension in his back and was ready to release it. “Relax baby,” I told him, after about ten minutes of rubbing his body down, I told him to turn over. I got on top of him and grabbed the chocolate syrup, poured it all over his chiseled chest and stomach and started licking it off his body. He sat up and flipped me over on the bed.

“I wanna taste some of this chocolate,” he said as he reached for the syrup and poured it all over my breast. He sucked the syrup off of my nipples then started licking my inner thigh and didn’t stop until he got to my pot of gold. This is the Jeremiah that I loved, the one that told me he loved me and also showed it too. I grabbed a condom out of my bag that was lying on the floor. I tore it open and slid it on his tool. I made him lay down and I gave him a ride of his life. We went at it like two wild animals for close to an hour.

“I want you to come with me baby,” he said while I rode him like a cowgirl.

“I’m about to bae.” Just as the words came out of my mouth, I erupted like a volcano.

“Damn baby that was greeeeaaaatttt,” he said in his Tony the Tiger voice.

“You’re so silly,” I got up and went to the bathroom to wash up. That chocolate syrup had my body sticky as hell. When I got out, Jeremiah got into the shower. I looked through my bag for my lotion when I realized I remembered everything except for lotion. I was about to put on the baby oil but didn’t want to be greasy getting in the bed so I walked in the bathroom just as Jeremiah was getting out.

“Hey baby did you bring some lotion with you? I left mine back in my room,” I asked.

“Yeah just look in my bag it should be right on top of everything.”

I went back in the room and looked through his bag; I didn’t see anything at first but as I kept looking, what I saw almost made my heart stop.
