Infidelity (9 page)

Persha pushed herself into an upward position. Still breathing heavily, she was relieved by the sudden break.

Out of breath, she managed to say, "You expecting company?"

Clarke shook his head then eased two fingers into her while stroking his manhood.

"Damn, talk about bad timing. Girl you are so wet and hot! A brotha wants you so bad." He reached down and sucked her opening before finally pulling himself away for good.

"Let me get rid of whoever this is. Stay put!" he warned with a pointed finger as he stormed out of the bathroom.

Barely able to move, Persha shook her head and tried to recapture her wind.

"Hurry!" She called after him, easing back on her elbows.

Clarke grabbed a robe from a hook on the door and cursed as he looked over his shoulder and stumbled out of the bathroom. She heard his feet as he quickly padded down the stairs and to the door.

"Damn, Dawg! Whassup?" Clarke’s voice echoed through the house.

Persha couldn’t hear what the visitor was saying, but only seconds later, she heard Clarke say, "Man, this is a bad time. Let a brotha holla at you in a minute. I’m in the shower."

When she heard the door close she looked down between her legs and waited for him. When he returned, Clarke stood at the door and gazed at her.

"Your ass looks so good up there like that," he said.

Persha laughed. "You can’t even see my ass," she said.

"I know what I can see," he teased.

"Well, you gonna stand there and watch or you gonna come over here and give her what she needs?" Persha grinned wickedly.

"Touch it for me," Clarke said as he started stroking his fading erection. "Yeah, that’s what I like. Damn Shorty!"

Using one hand to lift her breast to her mouth, Persha used her tongue to lick the tip of her nipple.

"Oh girl, damn girl!" He dropped the robe at his feet and walked over to the vanity counter.

Before she could inch back farther on the counter top, Clarke had already thrust himself into her.

"Aahh, this is what I needed," he cried.

Persha pushed him back. "Clarke, baby you can’t go bare. I just got off antibiotics. My pills, that messes them up."

"Oh, shit! But wait. Just hold on a sec," he said, still moving his hips.

"Damn this feels soooo good, baby. But you gotta stop," she cried. "You gotta stop."

He pushed himself deeper, spreading her legs farther apart. "Ah, I, a brotha just gotta..."

"Clarke, baby, you gotta get strapped."

"But oohhweeeeee your pussy; it’s so sweet and wet, baby. This one time won’t hurt. You feel it? I’ma pull out. I’ma pull out! You feel it?" he whispered as if he were in another world.

"Oh yes, baby, I do."

"It feels good?" he whispered.

"Mm hmm. Soooooo good," she cried.

As he pushed in, she moved up spreading her legs wider and wider. Her body started getting hot all over again as she started clawing at his chest, his neck and his back.

"Oh Clarke, this is so… I needed you, baby. I needed this."

"I know, Shorty, I know. Damn your pussy is so tight. It’s good, baby." Clarke grabbed her breasts and started humping her harder.

"You gotta pull out, Clarke. You gotta pull out."

"Not now, baby. I can’t. This is too good. Oooooh, it’s so good. Not now!"

Bending his knees a bit, he slowed his pace, but kept his balance as his hips rocked from side to side. Suddenly, Clarke’s eyes widened. He froze, grabbed her waist and then shoved himself farther into her.

"Oh, Shorty," he whispered, and looked directly into her eyes.

She never felt closer to him than at that very moment. Without saying a word, he had told her so much. Then without warning and with his eyes still glued to hers, he wiggled one last time before crying out in sheer ecstasy.

"Oh, Shorty. It feels so…a brotha can’t hold it. Shhhhiiiiiit!"

When he exploded, Persha literally felt it. She held on tightly matching his movements. Then she felt herself about to erupt for the second time. She buried her face into his shoulder as he fell onto her body. For a long time, they lie there, panting in each other’s sweat.

A few minutes later he backed up. "Damn, girl! You got some good shit! No doubt about it!"

Persha didn’t know if she should move or keep her position.

"Whew! You wore a brotha out, Shorty!" He walked over to the shower and turned on the water.

Hopping off the counter top, Persha looked at herself in the mirror. Trying to pull her hair together she became mesmerized at her reflection.

"You coming in?" Clarke yelled over the water.

"I’ll wait ‘till you’re through," she said, still staring at her reflection.

She couldn’t believe what she was doing. Not only was she sleeping with a married man, but she had just moved into his house, the very house he shared with his wife! And to make matters worse, the very best sex they’d ever had happened right in the bathroom of that same house.

Persha knew she was tripping. Not only had she fucked this other woman’s man in their private bathroom in their house, but she had fucked him on top of a cold hard sink in front of a mirror with absolutely no protection.

Hours later when Persha woke in the pastel colored guest room, she immediately smelled the fresh flowers sitting next to the bed. Looking around, she wondered where Clarke had escaped to and what time it was. While she didn’t know where he had run off to, the digital clock read 9:45 P.M.

She hated napping in the evening because it was so hard to go to sleep at night. By the time she found her clothes and got them on, there was a light knock at the bedroom door.

"Yes?" she stated.

"You up yet?" Clarke asked, opening the door just enough to stick his head and upper body in.

"I was wondering where you were."

"I was downstairs watching TV. I didn’t want to wake you, but I’m about to call it a night so I figured I’d check up on you."

She smiled weakly.

"You okay, Shorty? Whassup?" he asked, opening the door wider.

"I’m kind of hungry," she said.

"I ordered a pizza. There’s still some left in the kitchen. You’re more than welcome to it."

"Okay." Persha was looking at the curl of his lips. "What?" She shrugged.

"Well, I was just wondering what you’re willing to do for that pizza." Clarke rubbed his crotch and smiled at her.

Good lord! She couldn’t believe he wanted more sex after the evening they had had. Afraid of turning down his advance, she stopped and looked down at his crotch.

"You mean to tell me you didn’t have enough?" she asked as she stood up and walked over to him.

"It’s just so good, baby. But I was wondering if you could, well, help a brotha out in another area." He shrugged.

She cocked an eyebrow up at him.

"You know after you eat, maybe you can come kiss a brotha good night. What do you say?" He smiled, still rubbing his crotch.

"You’re a hot mess!" She pushed him slightly on her way out of the room.

Chasing behind her as she made her way to the kitchen, Clarke yelled, "Is that a yes or no?"

When she turned around in the kitchen, Persha was a bit surprised to see him still holding himself. She ignored him and proceeded to get a couple of slices of pizza. She was glad he sat there while she ate. She didn’t like being alone in the house, regardless of what time it was.

As she started to get up from the table, he reached for her hand.

"Oh, let me get this. You left some crumbs on the counter." He took her plate and started brushing at something Persha couldn’t quite see. When he finished, he walked over to the sink and washed both the plate and glass she used.

"I could’ve done that, Clarke."

"Oh, I don’t mind. I don’t like dishes piling up in the sink, so I try to keep things tidy around here.

She watched as he busied himself with the dishes. Again, this was a side to him she never knew existed. Years ago when they dated, not only was he not interested in plants and flowers, but he could leave a glass on her table ‘till a ring formed and still not move a muscle to lift it.

Back upstairs they were about to pass up her room when she stopped.

"I know this is probably not comfortable for you," Clarke stated, "but I wouldn’t have you here if it wasn’t cool, so don’t trip. Why don’t you stay with me tonight?" he asked.

There was something about the thought of sleeping in his wife’s bed that stroked her the wrong way. What if Kelsa came home early and found them in her bed. Persha knew this was the making for a serious crime of passion, and no jury would convict.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"I just thought you might like to sleep next to a warm body instead of sleeping alone."

"That would be nice," she confessed. "But why don’t we go into my room, if that’s okay."

"Well, to be honest, I don’t like the bed in there. But if you want to sleep in there, why don’t you come and kiss me off to sleep? Then you can come back here. Cool?"

"Yeah, that sounds cool," Persha agreed, joining him in his and Kelsa’s bed, thinking what choice did she really have anyway?

As she laid in the bed, trying to take all of him into her mouth, Persha swore he’d grown since the last time they’d been together. She was wondering just what happened to that myth about men needing time to recuperate.

She had to jump back to dodge his fluids the first time, but all he did was use a rag to wipe himself dry and find his home back in her mouth again. Persha’s jaw was sore and it was taking him longer to come this time.

Occasionally she’d open her eyes to look up at him and his face had a look of sheer pleasure on it. His eyes were closed and his expression would switch between a smile and a mincing frown.

When he grabbed her head and pushed himself even further into her mouth, she tried to back up, but his grip was too tight. A few minutes later she tasted his warm juices and started to gag.

"Damn, Shorty," he moaned.

He used the same rag he had used the first time he came to wipe off. Persha got up and ran to the bathroom. By the time she walked back into the room, he was snoring, his massive chest moving up and down at a rested pace.

Her first day in the Hudson household went smoothly. She and Clarke slept together Friday night but had to wake at the crack of dawn on Saturday. He had already explained that Persha needed to make other arrangements for Saturday and Sunday. Clarke had told Persha that Kelsa tended to stay around the house on weekends because she was gone so much during the week. She was more than welcome back Monday after work.

Driving around the city of Houston before many people were even turning over in bed, Persha decided to find a 24-hour restaurant and wait for sunrise.

The moment she deemed it a decent hour, she called Kori.

"Hey, girly, what’s up?" Persha asked. "You feel like meeting for breakfast?"

"Mmm hmm. Where you talking about meeting?" Kori asked.

"I’m at I-Hop near the Beltway."

"So I see you still in that Southwest part of town right?"

"Well, I thought it would be best if I stayed close to the house. I’m supposed to meet with the insurance people a few times, so that just makes it easier. You didn’t tell Cricket did you?"

When Kori didn’t respond right away, Persha felt her heart beating a mile a minute.

"Kori! I know you heard me," Persha said, fuming. Persha didn’t need Cricket’s negative comments. That was precisely why she never told neither of them about her new living arrangement with Clarke.

"I asked you not to say anything to her about this."

"Well, it’s not like I had a choice. What was I supposed to say when she asked about you? Anyways, she wasn’t trippin. It’s not like you’re staying with Clarke. I just told her he was going to help you out."

Persha sighed. She could see the brilliant rays of sunlight creeping over buildings in the horizon.

"Look, I’ma ‘bout to go so I can get there. I’m starved. You call Cricket yet?" she asked before haning up.

"Oops, I forgot, I’ll call her now and we’ll see you there.

Nearly an hour later as Persha and Kori were about to be seated, Cricket ran up, out of breath.

"Hey, thanks for calling me for the girlfriend meeting at the last damn minute!"

Seated at a booth the three started studying their menus. A few minutes later, Cricket placed hers down and looked at Persha.

"My auntie and I have already talked. We want you to come and stay at the house. I don’t think it’s right for your married boyfriend to pay your rent. It’s like you’re a kept woman."

"’Scuse me?" Persha said, her brows twisted upward.

"Kori told me the entire story, and while I feel sad for what’s happened to you and your house and all that, I think this is a good time to break things off with him and move in a different direction," Cricket said as she sat poised. "Girl, sistahs ain’t got time to be harming each other. We need to be more supportive and encourage one another to live right, take care of ourselves, physically and emotionally. You could get any man you want with your fine self. Girl, you don’t need to be sharing no two-bit punk with some other sistah." She crossed her hands on the table with a look on her face that said she was ready to read anyone who wanted to step up.

"Respect yourself, girlfriend. That’s all I’m talking about. You know I love you, and I know you love yourself, right? So let that dog go back home to his wife."

Persha glared at Kori, who inched lower and lower behind the menu. She cleared her throat, adjusted herself in her chair and prepared to go toe to toe with Cricket.

"You just don’t understand, Cricket," Persha started.

Cricket’s voice dropped an octave. She leaned forward and squinted one eye nearly shut. "I don’t understand what? What is it I don’t understand? What, that you’re wasting your time with a married man, one who cares nothing about anybody but himself? Or maybe I don’t understand because I haven’t been on a date in more than a year. Which is it Persha?"

Persha started backing down. She knew it was a war she wouldn’t win, because she knew Cricket was right.

"I’m just going through a lot right now," Persha sighed. "I don’t need y’all beating me up."
