We have some new equipment,
I want the tree of you to try these equipment. If you like them and
are able to work under harsher you three will be part of a new
secret force call the Fox Unit.”

Katrina was unimpress of
the name. “Foxhound? got nothing better like Snake eater or
Cobra’s?”

“
Your training begins on the
bottom floor, I suggest you three get over there now.” With that
being said Sandra, Katrina and Martine all rush downstairs to the
basement.

Gary and Kato were busy giggling and
feeling the babies kick as each day the baby gets bigger and
bigger. Gary was talking very cute at the unborn child. “In a few
more months, you get to join the world of mayhem and craziness and
you get to live with a crazy and insane family.”

“
You get a little weird
whenever you talk like that honey.” Kato says with
laughter.

“
It’s true though. You have
got to be the most craziest mother I have ever seen, going out in
the war zone, being pregnant.”

Kato rub her hand over her belly. “It
was the deal that Commander and I made so when I leave, when the
war is over that we will still get paid instead of no pay at
all.”

“
I’m aware, it’s just that
you are so stupid sometimes.” Gary said giving Kato a kiss. “I no
longer care about money, just for the three of us to have a happy
life together.”

Kato place her hand on Gary’s cheek.
“We will Gary, it will all be over soon.” Just like that her pager
went off. Kato moan at having to get up to go to work today. “Just
like that, I am back out there.”

Gary made smile. “Be safe out there,
from what Sandra told me last time, you almost gave
birth.”

Kato let out a slight laughter.
“Wouldn't that be embarrassing.” Kato gave Gary a kiss. “I’ll be
home for dinner.”

When Kato got to the plane she was
expecting to see Katrina, Sandra, and Martine but they were not
around. “Where’s Sandra and the others?” She ask
Mandisa.

“
I don’t know. I got page
and came here, so did Chang, Zoe, Maxim and Adam. All fine soldiers
they are just not our level. No offense to any of you.”

“
It’s all right.” Adam told
Mandisa. “I have been leading these soldiers for a while. I can
guarantee you that they are extremely good soldiers. Chang over
there love things that goes boom. He is also the comanidan. Zoe is
quite and she loves to snipe. She is very good. Maxim is good at
his job and even when he tries to be serious he is still funny but
his humor is more dirty than others.”

Everyone said hello to Mandisa. “Now
that everyone knows each other, lets get on this plane and hurry up
and finish this mission.”

When the plane lands. Zoe runs forward,
toss a scanner to search for any sons, nothing. “All clear!” She
told the others.

Maxim and Chang get ready to enter a
door. Chang opens the door, found three swords, one comes running
right at him. He fire at it, kills it. “Gezze, that was scary as
fuck.”

One sword ran up to Chang, both Mandisa
and Maxim double team, kills it, the other one ran at Chang, Kato
fire at it but miss. Chang fires at it, almost kills it. Zoe runs
up forward, going to help Chang out but saw two heavies and
retreat. Kato moves to cover, kills the sword next to Chang. Kato
got shot at twice, only hit once. Chang toss a grenade, blowing up
the heavies cover. Kato fire at one of them, kills them. Maxim move
to cover, kills the other heavy, headshot. Once that was done
Change let out some breath of air. Maxim was just laughing. “Been
awhile since you been out on a mission haven't you?”

Chang gave Maxim a nod and said. “One
thing I don’t miss is how stupid your jokes were.”

The team moves forward. The road splits
apart. Mandisa look at the roads and knew who she want’s to split
up. “Allright, Kato is a good leader, listen to what she has to
tell you if you run into trouble. I want Chang, Kato, Zoe and Maxim
to go left. Adam and I will take the right path. The last time Kato
and I did this, no one came so lets hope that happens again. We
will be to far away if trouble strikes so just hold out until we do
get there understood?” The rest of the squad all agree. “All right,
let’s do this everyone.” She told them as she took Adam and they
went right.

Chang Kato, Zoe and maxim go left, A
mech and two drones are spotted on the left. “Of course we get the
fucking mech!” Maxim shouts out in anger.

Kato was trying to calm Maxim. “Don’t
worry, I fought against these things many of times. They are slow
and they can’t aim. you and Zoe are snipers so you are in good
positions, just when it starts scanning to run!”

Mandisa and Adam were not seeing any
sons. This gave Adam some time to ask some questions. “Mandisa, may
I ask. How do you cope with your lost? I know Juan was a very good
assist, yet no one will mention how he died. Yet you still have a
smile on your face.”

“
The moment, that you accept
death as routine and that other people die while you still live.
Then you know that you have been in here for too long and you
should probably leave, if the death of someone you love no longer
affects you. You already lost yourself and you will never be able
to save yourself.” Mandisa heard through her headset that Kato and
the others was in trouble. “Let hurry.”

Kato moves forward, found a brute and a
heavy. She retreats then rapid fire on the brute. The brute starts
to chase after her. Maxim shot at brute, then Chang kills it. A
drone moves, Zoe fire at it, miss, the heavy toss a grenade hurting
both Maxim and Zoe, destroying their cover. Kato rapid fire on the
heavy, kill it. Zoe shot at drone again, destroys it. Things
explode in the distance, and another drone appear, shot at Kato,
light damage. “Ow you little fuck.” Kato told that thing as she
shot at it but miss. Zoe also miss.

Maxim move to cover, shot at the drone,
does not destroy it. The drone fire at maxim, light hit. “Ow!” He
said in pain. “Why is this fucker so hard to get rid of right now?”
He ask blunty. Zoe fire at drone, miss. Maxim killed the drone.
“Finally.”

Missiles comes out of nowhere, hurting
Kato but Maxim is bleating out. Kato was in complete pain and in
rage. “Where the fuck did that came from!” The mech came out of the
shadows, everyone fire at it and miss. “How the fuck did we miss!?”
The mech shot at Kato, she is hurt. “Fuck!”

“
Kato it’s not safe there,
get out of there we will cover you!” Chang told Kato.

“
Wilco!” Kato waits for the
best time to run, Kato try to run to cover but the mech fire at
her, she is bleating out on the ground. Kato grabs her bleeding leg
in pain, and the blood from just above her stomach. “Fuck.” She
told herself. “Gary, I love you.”

“
NO!” Chang fire a rocket at
the mech.

Zoe shot at the mech. Mandisa and Adam
came out of nowhere and Mandisa quickly rapid fire on mech. Adam
shot at mech, kill it, Maxim died. “We got here just in time.”
Mandisa told Adam when they walk closer to Chang and Zoe. Mandisa
had an uneasy feeling when she sees Chang and Zoe on a knee with no
Kato or Maxim in sight. “No.” Mandisa said in a soft voice. “No.”
She said a bit louder. “Kato!” She screams this time as she rushes
over to Chang and Zoe. “KATO!” She screams louder when she found
Kato’s body. “KATO!” She rush over to her dying friend, nearly
pushing Chang out of the way with tears in her eye. “Kato, Kato
look at me, everything is going to be fine, you hear me Kato, we
are going to get you out of here. You are going to see Gary again,
you are going to live happily ever after. you have to Kato. You
have to!”

Kato was barely conscious when she was
hearing Mandisa words. “Man-dy?”

“
Yes, yes i’m here Kato, I’m
here I won’t leave you.”

“
I want you to be the
Godmother.” Kato told Mandisa as she place her bloody hands on
Mandisa's face.

“
Yes, yes I will be the
Godmother. You and Gary are going to have so many fucking babies!
You two are going to live on a farm, away from war, death, and live
happily ever after.” Kato slowly close her eyes. “Kato?” Mandisa
cries out. “Kato? Kato!? KATO!? KATO!? Why did I split us up? It’s
all my fault!” Mandisa lay her head on Kato’s stomach to felt it
move. “What?” She ask herself still in tears. The stomach moves
again. “You son of a bitch, YOU’RE PREGNANT!?”

While the shock did come for a surprise
on the rest of the squad Zoe spot eyes in the last building up
ahead. “We are being watched.” Zoe, Adam, and Chang grab Mandisa
and push her to the side. Zoe put her hand over her mouth to shut
her up. “The child has about an hour or two max, we need to clear
that last building then cut Kato open to get the child. Adam call
it in, we need an aircraft with doctors. Mandisa, all this anger
you feel, take it out on the Sons and fast.”

Everyone gets ready at the main doors.
Adam open the door, found a elite heavy and another leader of the
son. This time Mandisa did not want to hear no crap. The elite
heavy try to run but mandisa fire at it. Adam fire at the leader.
However the bullets seems to not even hurt him. Elite heavy has
Mandisa pin down. Chang open another door, toss a grenade inside,
destroy elite heavy cover and hurt the elite heavy and the leader.
Mandisa goes inside, kills elite heavy. The leader fell back. Chang
fire a rocket at the leader. Mandisa rapid fire on the leader
killing him. Then she unloads her whole clip not once but twice.
“The first one was from me, the seconded one was from Kato you
fucking piece of shit.”

The medical aircraft came by in time.
The baby was already gutted open from Kato and was still breathing,
just barley. Mandisa and the others were able to kill the last two
sons in great time to get back to Kato. Once the aircraft came by,
they took care of the baby from there. Zoe ends up becoming a
captain.

When they came back. Mandisa did not
even bother to wash off the blood from her face. She admiralty and
slowly walk over to Gary’s room and knock on his door. Gary open
the door with a smile but was shock at seeing Mandisa there with
blood. It did not took long for Gary to understand what had
happen.

Everyone gather around the same place
where Gary and Kato held their wedding not even a week ago to now
more Kato and Maxim death. Commander was speaking for Kato. “It’s
not every day that a death of a soldier affects us in such a way
that Kato does. We have always lost good soldiers. some die too
soon, and then other that should not have died at all. I am sure
you all know by now that Kato was hiding a child. I knew about this
for a long time. I gave Kato two options. She could keep the child
but have to leave, or she could give up the child and stay with us.
She chose the third option. She convince me to keep the child and
to stay here. I mean this with all my heart. Kato will be miss. She
brought joy in our lives, She taught us the meaning of life, Both
her and her husband taught us that we can still love through this
war of death. Her death will not be in vain. I beg of all of you,
please remember the good times you had with Kato. They said you
only die twice times out of your onone life. The first death is the
normal death as we see her. The seconded death is when your name
will be said for the very last time. So I pray to you, lets not
forget about Kato, and all that she has done for us. Lets pray that
the good lord above will take her in through those shiny gates
where she belongs so she can look down on us all. In god we trust,
omen.”

Mission 37 Ghost

As the days went by. Everyone was
trying to move on without Kato. The baby was still in the hospital
and is going to need to stay there for a few months for being
brought to the world a few months early. No one dare spoke to Gary
as he began to drink his problems away at the bar, get into fights,
and isolating himself from the others. The others began to worry
about him. Boris was having a cigarette with Soto as they talk
about Gary. Andres was in the back listing in but not really part
of the conversation. Boris let out a slight sigh. “It's a funny
thing, the less people have to live for, the less nerve they have
to risk losing nothing.”

Soto also let out a sigh. “Gary still
has something else to lose. His premature son, if anything is still
worth fighting for, it will be for him.”

“
Has Gary gaven the child a
name yet?”

“
Von, Von Gary.”

Boris just gave a little chuckle.
“That’s a funny name.”

“
Why would you say that?”
Soto ask in question.

Andres came into the conversation. “Von
means hope.”

“
Thank you Andres.” Boris
said with a slight chuckle. “Von, in german means from as well. I
can only imagine by calling this child Von, gives Gary the hope
that he needs to keep living.” Boris let out a slight pause before
continuing. “You were Gary’s best friend aren't you Soto? Haven't
you tried talking to him again?”

Soto let out a small sigh. “He has been
going through great lengths to avoid me. I thought talking about
Kato together would ease both of our pains but he does not want to
talk about it, or anything for that matter.”

“
Cheer up Soto.” Boris said
with a sigh. “I don’t know what it is like to lose a sister, I
don’t even have a sister to lose. You need to worry about yourself
and know how to deal with your sisters death. Gary needs to figure
that out by himself as well.”
