No Anna.” Sara said with a
sigh. “I don’t know anything anymore.” Sara walk outside to the war
Room where the text was still there. “It’s not that I would prefer
to fight against somebody with motives. It sure will be a lot
easier to understand then trying to figure out why a few people
just want to watch the world burn.”

There was a knock on the door. “Sara
could you go get that please!”

Yes mommy.” Sara open the
door to find Von and Gary.

Who is it?” The same voice
said in the back.

Gary came inside with a smile on his
face. “The most famous story writer in the world!”

Mandisa came through the other room to
give Gary a big hug. “Nice to see you again. How have you been?”
Mandisa ask giving Gary a kiss on his cheek, both sides.

Von look at Sara. “How come you don’t
greet me like that?”

Sara smile and pat Von on his head.
“Because I’m fifteen and you are only six, but maybe when you are
older though.” Sara said giving Von a wink.

Anna came from the kitchen with an
apron on and a mixing bowl. “Good even Uncle Gary, come in, I’m
making Pumpkin Pies. The game is on in the other room, please have
a seat, enjoy yourself. Dinner will be ready shortly.”

Cooking on Thanksgiving?
Don’t you girls have boyfriends or something?” Gary ask with
laughter.

Sara walk past Gary also laughing. “I
just broke up with my boyfriend a few weeks ago. I hack his
computer found out he was flirting with some twelve year old on the
net. So I did what any normal girl would do and call the cops on
him and arrested him.” Sara says with a smile.

Gary shook his head. “Some things never
change, even after so many years.” Gary walk to the other room to
where he found Martine already stuffing his face with food and
watching the game. After the War Martine gotten fat. “I see the
years have been good to you Martine.” Gary told him.

At least I still have
hair!” Martine told him. The two of them sat next to each other,
with Sandra sitting on the opposite of the room.

Sara came in to the room with some more
food and snacks. “Martine has been lazy and been eating all of the
money I gave him so many years ago.”

If I am going to die, it’s
going to be fat and happy.”

Gary got into the conversation. “Were
you ever able to find Chang’s daughter Martine?”

Yea I did. It took me two
years but I found her. She was in Russia. Chang must had her when
he was still a teenage boy because she was already living on her
own, had her own life. I told her the story of her father. It was
really emotional but she said thank you for telling her and that
she will never forget me, or him.” Martine look over at Mandisa and
ask her a question. “What about you Mandy? Ever know what happen to
Zoe?”

I get strange things in the
mail every now and then. Like a postcard of the tropics, or
sometimes a graveyard. My only belief is that she became a contract
killer, now making a living on what we would like to call, blood
money.”

In the kitchen Sara almost froze in
place when she heard Mandisa said that word. “Sara, what’s wrong?”
Anna ask.

Nothing.” Sara said with a
fake smile. “Just, remembering a bad past, that’s all.”

Back in the living room, Martine
shifted into his chair. “I hate to bring this up, six years ago.
The Sons of Liberty pull there finally attack on us, and try to
kill us on with a giant atom bomb. That just seems like a foul note
to end it on, after all those missions, battles, it ends like that?
Something is not right.”

Thank you for finally
sharing your thoughts about a past, that we would all like to
forget about six years later.” Gary told him.

It’s something I can’t stop
thinking about, ever since it happen I have been trying to fill in
the puzzle.”

Mandisa let out a light smile. “Our
battle is over. We won everyone. If the Sons ever do want to attack
again, it’s time for our children to take full part of that battle.
They are not kids anymore.” Mandisa let out a slight pause. “Not to
brag about Anna’s grade in school Sara! However Anna is going to
graduate high school two years before Sara and they are both in the
same grade. Sara is a very fit girl, loves to fight just a few too
many battles if you ask me. However she is a great leader and is
not dumb at all. I have been honor to be the mother in their life
as they were the daughters to mine.”

This is how the story
ends.” Gary says with a smile. “One big happy family, I like
it.”

Back in the kitchen, Sara was also
smiling with a single tear that came down from her eye, Anna notice
the tear. “Sara, what’s going on? Is it the garlic? Too much garlic
for the garlic bread?”

No Anna, this time. I was
just remembering something that is always a good memory to have.”
She told Anna as she lookup to see the picture with her, Anna,
Mandisa and Sandra all together in a goofy pose over at the
entrance of B.A.S.E. with the words on it. “Family.”
