consequence to it Sara.”

I understand Commander. You
had to put your family first. I understand that. However the
project is not even finish yet Commander. Anna has not made it safe
and she was the one who came up with Nanomachines. She came up with
the idea to make that chip in your head a reality. Why keep this
from us? If you told us then perhaps Sandra won’t be moaping
around!”

“
The council has power far
greater than mine Sara. Everyone thinks I run this place. I don’t.
I am not in charge of anything. I am the messenger Sara! Welcome to
fucking politics! How much power do you think the president of the
United States of America has? None! Thats what I am Sara. In this
secret organization. I am the president, a figure head. The Council
are the ones with the real power.” Commander let out a small sigh.
“If this works Sara, the chip. Then everything will change before
your eyes. This chip is going to be the turning point of our
generation. This chip is the new Atom Bomb. No one is allow to talk
about this. No one is allow to enter the basement, I can’t even see
what they are doing to my soldiers down there Sara. I just have to
act as if nothing has happen. I truly am sorry girls, but there is
nothing you two can do to stop it. In fact they might kill you if
you interviewed with them.”

Sara said nothing as she storms out of
the room. Anna quickly follow close behind. Once Sara was in the
main room of the base she started to cuss out of anger. “This is
bullshit! There is always something that we can do! He is not a
leader, all he fucking does he do whatever the council tells him to
do!”

“
Calm down Sara.” Anna told
her.

Sara tried calming herself down. She
took in a big breath of air and let out a long sigh. “Come on Anna,
were going to save our friends.”

Ten days went by. Anna and Sara was
still trying to snap Sandra out of her depression, that was when
Mandisa came back from her experiment. Anna and Sara was busy in
the lunchroom with their research on the table. Since the only
people they should fear with would be in the basement and since no
one else knows what they are doing, they could get away with
studying the chip with ease and not be bother. “We both know that
Katrina was the only one that was able to pass the chip test.
Technology, Sandra and Martine chips don’t seem to work.” Sara told
Anna.

“
That could be more
dangerous. There is another option.” Anna said quietly. We can
always try recharging the brain. This method is not a completely
safe method. The most that can happen is the chip gets start back
up, in which that may help Sandra, or completely turn it
off.”

“
Is there a possibility of
death?”

“
No, the chips are design
not to be short circuit if the human being became tase. However
it’s only my plans that we are looking at. I have no idea what kind
of changes they had made.”

Sara got up from the table. “All right,
I’ll go tase Sandra, Kato gave me a small teaser for protection.”
When Sara was about to leave, she found Mandisa.
“Mandy!”

Mandisa, who was across the hall heard
Sara call her name, turn around and found Sara. Unlike Sandra,
Mandisa rush over to Sara and gave her a giant hug. “I’m back
girls.” She says with a tear in her eye.

“
Wait, Mandisa, you are
completely fine? What about the chip in your brain?” Sara ask
pushing Mandisa away.

“
How do you girls know about
that?” Mandisa ask in question. She look over at Anna who had her
blueprints on the subject. “I should had known you two may had
something to do with this. Those men are not smart as you two
are.”

“
Mandisa, how come you are
fine and not acting like a robot?” Sara ask in question.

“
The chip in my brain does
not affect emotions girls. Emotions is something that you feel, no
technology can change that. What’s going on? Where is
Sandra?”

Anna explain Sandra’s behavior. “She
has been in a slump ever since she got back from her testing. She
has not eaten in days, she does not come out of her room, and she
has not smile for a long time. Martine slowly came back together.
We thought the chip was doing this to her somehow.”

Mandisa gave Anna a hug. “It’s not your
fault girls. With this chip in my brain I got advance hearing. I
heard them talking about what happen the last time. They also
thought they could control human emotions, and made the experiences
go under tough psychological test. There results were inconclusive.
The chip was designed to increase the human body, this is why mind
control is still just science fiction. These men want to create the
perfect soldier, however the only thing they have done is just
created better ones.”

“
Does the chip work?” Anna
ask very urgently.

“
It’s still in the
experimental phase, out of Soto and Chang, I was the only one to
have the chip work proplay but for me Anna. Yes the chip works, you
did it Anna.” Anna had tears of joy on her face knowing that it was
because of her work that she was able to do something for good just
like the nanomachines. Anna gave Mandisa a very tight hug as she
was still crying with tears of joy. Sara also join the
hug.

Adam and Zoe was enjoying the view.
Adam made a small comment. “I know you don’t like kids. Our
relationship is too early to even be thinking about kids, but, your
kids are a part of you. I think Sara and Anna are two wonderful
kids. They don’t come around like those two do very often. Sandra
and Mandisa are not either one of their mothers. The whole nature
vs nurture will never be over. However I think nurture won this
battle aginst nature.”

Zoe place her hand on Adams hand. “I do
want kids Adam, weather it will be with you, I don’t know yet, but
I don’t want to give birth, I want to adopt them.”

Adam gave Zoe a little smile when the
two strange guys that took Mandisa away came up next to Adam and
Zoe. “We need you two to follow us to the basement. No questions,
this is a direct order Maziah is waiting for you two.”

When Mandisa finish the hug she ask the
girls where Sandra was. They told her that she was still in her
room. Mandisa and the girls all went to their room and found Sandra
sitting there by herself. “Sandra.” Mandisa said in a soft
voice.

Sandra head jolt when she heard her
friend call her name. She has not seen Mandisa in twenty days.
Finally the two friends could reunite with each other.Mandisa rush
over to Sandra and gave her a giant hug that she could. The two
girls start to cry as they gave each other a hug. “Please Mandisa.”
Sandra said in tears. “Don’t ever let go of me again.”

“
I promise Sandra, I won’t
leave you. You are with friends now who love you, care for you, we
will never leave you Sandra, we promise.” Mandisa told Sandra in
between tears.

As the two of them continue to hug,
both of their pagers went off. Sara got annoy by the sound. “Oh for
fuck sake! Can’t we have one happy ending for once?”

Both Mandisa and Sandra got up
together. “Don’t worry Sara.” Mandisa said with a confident smile.
“We’ll be back, we promise.” Mandisa look over to Sandra with a
smile. “We are a family, and family stay together.” Both Mandisa
grab their gear and left the room together.

Once they were gone Anna ask Sara a
question. “You don’t think that they will be?”

“
No!” Sara shouts back
already knowing what Anna was going to say. “The two of them are
best friends and they been through a lot together! Why does
everyone think that if two people are close friends and they are
both single that they are going to date each other?” Sara said
rolling her eyes.

Katrina, Mandisa, Sandra, Andrea,
Martine, Soto were all on the plane heading to their destination.
Soto felt happy about the mission. “I feel great.” He says with
cheer. “It’s been awhile that we have all been on a mission
together. Now that the stupid testing is over, we can finally do
something!”

Andrea was confuse on what Soto was
talking about. “Training?”

“
Don’t worry about it
Andrea, it’s not as bad as what you think it is going to
be.”

Katrina, Sandra, and Martine all gave
Soto the death stare. Katrina reach for her knife. Mandisa had to
hold her back and whisper in her ear. “Your training was different
from ours, I’m sorry what happen to you but they did not do that to
us.”

Once the team land. Martine moves
forward, already found their leader and a elite heavy. “Were not
expecting us were you! This time we got the surprise on
you!”

The leader turn around and gave a
chuckle at Martine. “You have no idea just how wrong you are
Martine.” Three elite heavies come from the right side of the ship,
three sons comes in from the left, and two regular heavys plus a
brute comes from the front.

“
I have enough of your
bullshit. I am going to take you out first.” Martine told the
leader as he fire a rocket at the leader, not killing him. “What
the fuck will take to kill this guy?”

Katrina kill a brute, with a headshot,
Katrina then fire again, hurting a regular heavy. Andrea fire at a
regular heagy and hit it. Sandra fire at an elite heavy but miss.
The enemy pins down both Mandisa and Martine, Sandra gets shot at.
One son flew behind the squad to flank them. Martine fires another
rocket at the leader. “Now that is just not fair.” Martine said
with a small cry.

Katrina kills the heavy that had
Mandisa pin down. Andrea kill the son that tried to flank them.
Mandisa rapid fire on a heavy, kills it. Sandra fire on a son, and
hit the son. The leader hid back inside the ship, the enemy moves
around a bit. “Dammit, I can’t get a beat on him anymore.” Martine
said with anger.

Katrina fire at an elite heavy, kills
it. She look around the map and saw Soto pulling out a knife.
Katrina had to reload her gun but could not stab him. Soto gave
Sandra a stab then leap onto the other side. Sandra scream in pain.
“What the fuck Soto! Since when did you join them!”

“
I join them ever since my
sister died Sandra. I saw just what they could do. They offer me a
better life. Now with this chip in my brain, this is what we have
been waiting for. You think you were safe on base? My dear Sandra,
you have been living with lies ever since you join.”

Soto shot at Sandra some more. Sandra
refuse to kill Soto. Mandisa, call Soto out. “Hey Soto, you forgot
one thing. My brain has the working chip in it!” Soto ran to cover
and start to shoot at Mandisa. A firefight went off before Mandisa
kill Soto. Once Soto fell dead on the ground, Mandisa let out a
small tear, as she had to refocus on her mission.

Andrea shot at a elite heavy who ran
into the open, Sandra also shot at him, did not kill him, the elite
heavy found new cover. The elite heavy that found new cover shot at
Sandra. “Fuck.” Sandra said in pain. What is with everyone
attacking me?” She ask in pain. Another elite heavy shot at Mandisa
but miss. Sandra shot back at the elite heavy, kills it. “You
forgot one thing, you can’t fucking gun me down!”

Katrina shot at a son, miss. Andrea
shot at same son, miss. Mandisa shot at the elite heavy that shot
at her, kills it. “Sandra, how are you holding up!” She ask with
concern.

“
I’ll be fine Mandy! I’ll
keep my head down more this time.” Martine toss a grenade at the
son that Andrea and Katrina miss and was able to kill
it.

The leader comes back out. “Ready for
round three?” Martine ask the leader as he lay eyes on
him.

A son comes out, toss a grenade at
Sandra and Martine, destroying their cover and killing Sandra.
Sandra death scream could be heard over every gunshot. As Martine
rush to new cover, he did not even to think about Sandra has he was
trying to save himself. Once he found new cover he found the dead
Sandra laying on the ground. Katrina kills the leader, with a
headshot, then she shot at a elite heavy, and hit it. Mandisa was
lost at words, when she was looking at Sandra. She found the son
that toss the grenade and unleash her whole clip on the son almost
killing it. Andrea shot at the elite heavy that Katrina hit.
Mandisa kill the son that killed Sandra as she just lay more and
more bullets into the now dead son. Martine toss a grenade at the
elite heavy that Katrina hit, kills it. The place was clear. but
gunshots could still be heard as Martine and Katrina look over.
They found Mandisa still firing at the dead son. “YOU, DO, NOT,
KILL, MY, BEST, FRIEND!” Mandisa told the dead son as she continue
to fire at the dead son. Blood splatter onto her and when she ran
out of bullets she grab her knife and start to stab at the dead
body. Her mental mind had completely snap when Sandra died. Katrina
and Martine had to pull her away from the dead body and pin her to
the ground. “Let me go! Let me go, I need to kill his soul! make
sure his soul does not even go to the after world! Let me go! He
killed Sandra!” Mandisa anger quickly became sadness as she started
to cry. “He killed Sandy, he killed her, he killed her, he killed
Sandy, she was my friend. She was my best friend. SANDRA! SANDRA!”
Mandisa cry out. Katrina and Martine let Mandisa go. She did not
even had the strength to walk. She crawl over to her friend and
started to pound on her chest and do mouth to mouth to try to bring
her back to life. “Sandra, come back, please. You told me that you
will never leave me Sandra, you promise! I told you that I will
never let go of you, I promise Sandra! We were going to leave this
place, live a quiet life. Sandra, please don’t leave me, Sandra,
Sand.”
