Misguided Truths: Part Two (Misjudged #4) (42 page)

“I don’t think we’re gonna make it to the bedroom, beautiful,” I tell her before plunging my tongue inside her mouth. My right hand travels lower and underneath her dress, my fingers skimming along her panties. “Nope, we’re not going anywhere.”

I dip my fingers underneath, and can already feel how wet she is. My dick twitches, and it feels like I’ve just gained an inch as I slip a couple of fingers deep inside. I take my other hand away from her waist, keeping my fingers firmly moving inside her while tugging at my pants. Alexis grabs at my shoulders and pushes me down, and the next thing I know, I’m kneeling on the floor right in front of her. I lift my gaze, and see her biting down on her lip as she lifts her dress higher.
Oh, she wants …?
Yep, I can do that.

I notice her mouth tighten with confusion when I remove my fingers, but I smile when I see her eyes widen
ing up again. I bring my fingers up to my mouth before slowly pushing them inside, stroking my tongue along them, tasting her. I watch as her chest rises and falls, and hear her uneven breaths, “You’re not sleeping tonight!” I grin, and move closer, flicking my tongue along her wetness, dipping it inside until I feel her legs starting to tremble.

When she pushes herself against my mouth, I move away slightly
, and blow soft breaths over the apex of her thighs until I hear her starting to pant, “Brandon, please?” I’ve never heard her beg before. I think I like it.

Resting back on my heels, I lift
my head, and see her eyes setting right on me, “We’ve got all night, beautiful.” I stroke my fingers over her ankles, slowly trailing them higher up the inside of her legs until I reach the hem of her dress. Taking a hold of it with both hands, I slide it upward until it’s high up around her neck, and place feather light kisses along her naval until I reach her breasts.

Her hands grip my shoulders when I swirl my tongue over her left nipple, and her nails dig in hard when I gently take it into my mouth, tugging hard with my teeth while my index finger and thumb caress
es the other. “Oh God, you’re killing me!” She tilts her head back against the wall, and I look up just in time to see her eyes flickering closed.

When
I step away and unfasten my belt, her eyes open wide, and her lips fall open when I kick my pants and shorts toward the bottom step. She slides her dress over her head, dropping it to the floor, a smile appearing over her lips when she reaches forward and takes me in her hand.

She
brushes her lips over mine, and rubs her hand over me a couple of times before she drops to her knees.
Oh, boy.

She wastes no time and takes me in her mouth, rubbing her hand over my dick more forcefully and in time with her tongue. She plunges me inside and out
, and I grasp at her hair, watching as she takes it all. When I feel myself starting to swell, I tug her by the hair, and see her looking right up at me in surprise.

“I won’t last much longer if you keep doing that,” I growl
, and reach down, cupping my hands around her face as she gets back on her feet. I lift her up by the waist, and she wraps her legs tightly around my mine, her hands gripping my shoulders. “Say it again.” I tell her, and she smiles widely at me, but doesn’t say a word.
Yeah, I know what she’s trying to do here.

Keeping one arm firmly wrapped around her waist, I grab my dick with the other
, and slide him along her folds until I’m dipping inside,
just a little bit,
“Mmm …”
Wrong answer.

“Say it, Alexis,” she keeps her hands wrapped around my shoulders, and wriggles against me, but there’s no way she’s getting what she wants until she says it at least one more time. “Just say it
one more time and you can have the whole ten inches.” She wriggles her hips again, and I shake my head. Alright, if she’s not gonna say it voluntarily then I’m gonna make her scream it out loud. I take a few steps forward, and press her against the wall, “You’re not gonna say it?” I cock my head to the side when she shakes her head at me with a smile.
Huh
. Alright.
She asked for it.

I thrust myself
forward until the whole of me is buried deep inside, and she throws her head forward, her hair spilling across her face and over my shoulders, “Mmm … God, that feels so good.”
Yep. Yeah, it does.
I plunge forward again, this time rolling my hips and not giving her a chance to breathe. “Yes!”
Better.
Slowly pulling myself out, she lets out a small moan, and I can feel her nails digging into my back again through her anticipation.

This time, I
wanna hear her scream. I drill myself inside her, and then do it again, over and over and over again until—“Fuckkkkkkk!” I growl, resting one hand flat against the wall behind me as my legs become unsteady. “Say it, Alexis!” I harshly whisper into her ear, and she throws her head back as a heated sensation courses right through my lower body. Slamming myself inside harder now, I feel her tighten around me, and swallow, hard, while I try to regulate my breaths.

“Yes!” she screams out, and clings onto me, her
whole body beginning to shake in my arms. “Oh … wow!” I loosen my grip once I’ve emptied my load inside her, and place kisses in her hair, along her jaw, and finally over her mouth.

When I pull back some, she peeks up at me through her hair, and
I notice that her cheeks are a deep and flustered red, “I’m sorry, I don’t think I heard you clearly enough. Did you say yes?” I ask, raising my eyebrows and cocking my head to the side as a smile creeps over my face.

“I’m not one hundred percent convinced that I did,” she answers,
with mischief flitting into her eyes as a wry smile appears over her face. “Maybe we should do that again just to make sure.” She steps away, bends down, and grabs her dress from off of the floor before giggling and running up to the first floor. Yep, I like her thinking, and you know the best part?

I’m marrying this girl.

Chapter Thirty-Six

TWO AND A HALF YEARS LATER

Today’s the big day. Yep. In exactly one hour from now, Alexis will become my wife, Mrs. Alexis Rose Taylor. Am I scared? Well, what do you think? Yeah, not a chance.

“The car’s just parking up outside,” Rye tells me as he walks back inside the chapel. “Have you got the rings?” I pat my shirt pocket, and my jaw and stomach both drop down to the ground.

“Fuck!” my voice echoes off of the walls, and people are starting to stare right at me. “Dammit! I forgot the—” I throw my head back with pure frustration as I hiss the words.

“It’s a good job your best man over here is more organized than you are,” he laughs as he interrupts me, and pulls the two small boxes from out of the inside pocket of his suit jacket. “Are you nervous?” I nod, and then lift my hand up to run through my hair, but he grabs my arm, stopping me. “You’ll mess your hair up.”
Alyssa seems to have most definitely brainwashed this guy.

I tug at the collar of my shirt
, because I swear, it feels like the temperature has just climbed fifty degrees in the space of sixty seconds, “Is it getting warmer in here or is it just me?” I blow out a breath, and see Rye eyeing me, his amusement evident.

“No, that would just be you,” he pats my back a couple of times, an
d then I see the pastor step out from the back room. “I’m never getting married.”

“Does Alyssa know this?” I’m guessing she doesn’t from
the way he’s just winced from my question. She’d be sure to put him on a sex ban if she were to find out this news.

This place isn’t gonna be
overly packed today. In fact, only the first couple of rows will most likely be filled. We wanted a small wedding, or at least, Alexis did. She told me that she’d prefer to have an intimate ceremony, consisting of only family members and close friends. Well, considering the only family I have is Rach, and the both of us have the same friends, the invites didn’t take long to fill out, let’s put it that way. Do I mind that it’s not gonna be a huge occasion? No. Not at all. What she wants, I want. Or so she tells me, anyways.

I take a seat at the front, and check my watch for what must be the tenth time since we arrived. Because it’s unlucky to see the bride before the wedding, I stayed with Rye at his and Alyssa’s apartment in Borough Drive. It’s a nice little place they’ve
got there. Gone are the days of sharing a dorm, huh? Well, I guess we can be officially classed as adults now. Yeah, I heard you laugh just then. But, no, I don’t think so either.

Alexis kept a lot of the wedding preparations under wraps. I told her a million times that I wanted to be just as involved in our big day as she was, but she assured me that she had everything under control
, and that I had only one small task to carry out; to make sure I made it here on time. Yeah, pretty hypocritical considering she’s already three minutes late into the building.

The few guests have already taken their seats, but honestly? I don’t recognize any of them. Obviously Alexis’ father will be giving her away, and Diane and Alyssa will be traveling over here with Alexis and Holly,
so no. I don’t know any of these people at all.

“Have you got your speech?” Is he trying to make me turn into a goddamn mess? “You haven’t have you?” Instead of answering him, I throw him my
best death glare, and he raises his hands up in retreat as he takes a seat beside me. I glance over my shoulder every couple of minutes, and she’s now running twenty minutes past our timeslot.

“I thought the best man was supposed to write that stuff?”
Awesome. Just awesome
. “Hey, have you seen Rach?” She needs to be here. It wouldn’t be the same without her. Rye starts whistling, and his eyes are darting all around him, to anywhere but on me.

Inhaling a deep breath, I stand and start pacing the floor, mentally giving her another five minutes to get in here before I go outside and bring her in
side myself. If she’s changed her mind then she could’ve at least informed me of this yesterday morning.
Shit.

“What is it?”

“Do you think she’s changed her—?” I abruptly stop talking when soft, slow music starts to play around the place. The chapel is only small, but it’s definitely one of the best in the whole city.

The people
who are already seated turn around to face the back as I take my place up at the front, “Good luck, bro.” I notice that my hands are visibly shaking when Rye shakes my right one. “Your forever, just remember that.” I smile at what he just said as he takes his seat again, and then I turn around to face the front.
This is it.

We’ve been through so much in the short time we’ve known one another, but we fin
ally get to have it. Our happy ever after. There were days when I didn’t think it would ever be possible. I thought my future had already been ripped away from me, and after the third time, I’d talked myself into believing that I’d live the rest of my days alone.

When I hear a few gasps, I figure she must be inside
, and immediately turn around. I have to blink a couple of times to make sure that I’m seeing this right. Yeah. Yeah, this is definitely happening. I swallow past the tightness in my throat, and keep my eyes locked on the two of them. It’s incredible to see, and now I know exactly why Alexis didn’t wanna have me involved in any of this.

My eyes are starting to glaze over, but I do nothing to hide this very fact. Why would I? To see my beautiful three year old daughter walking down the aisle with a bouquet of flowers in one hand, while clutching tightly onto Rach’s with the other, well, it’s fucking heart wrenching to see, in the best way imaginable.

This is why. She wanted to surprise me. Holly is the cutest little bridesmaid I’ve ever seen, and knowing that Alexis’ asked Rach to be a part of this is just …
shit
. Something wet just spilled down my right cheek. I take a deep breath as they draw closer, and when Holly sees me, she runs straight toward me. I kneel down beside her and flash her a smile, “Hey, how’s my beautiful little girl doing?”

“I’m a princess, daddy,” she rolls her eyes, and this shocks me. No way did my daughter just do that. She’s grounded. Indefinitely. And, don’t think I won’t be having words with Alexis about this as soon as this day’s over. There’s only one thing I can do about this. Alexis is gonna have to stop seeing Alyssa. Now that was definitely an Alyssa thing going on there, and if she can influence Holly that easily, I don’t even wanna think about how easy it would be for her to lead Alexis astray.

When I stand back up on my feet, she does a little twirl and bow before taking a hold of Rach’s hand again. Rach smiles over her shoulder at me as she leads Holly over to their seats just as the music changes.

When she walks around the corner and into the room, my breath catches
, and I think my heart just skipped a beat.
Wow
. She looks incredible. My breaths are shaky, and I have to blink because my eyes are becoming glazed again. You know what? I don’t care. It just goes to prove that I’m in love with the beautiful woman who’s walking toward me, and she’s marrying me. I’m definitely the luckiest son of a bitch that’s ever stepped foot on this planet.

Her hair is styled back, her makeup is kept to a minimum, and the white dress flows right down to the ground. She’s smiling directly at me, and I smile back. When she reaches me, I offer her my arm right after shaking her father’s hand. It took him a while to come around to the idea of me and Alexis being together, but, we get along just fine now. After all, I gave him his black haired, blue-ey
ed, and beautiful granddaughter, so how could he not?

When Alexis takes my arm, I lean in close to her before we need to face the front, “You look … I have no words,” I whisper, and she smiles, brushing her nose against mine. She leans her head back, and that’s when I see a quizzical look seeping into her eyes
, and a slight smile forming over her lips.

“Have you been crying?” S
he whispers, her eyes searching mine as the pastor gets into his position.

“Yes. Yes, I have.” I state proudly, which makes her chuckle before she leans in and places a small, tender kiss on my lips. “Are you ready for forever?” I ask, tilting my head to the side when I hear the guy marrying us clear his throat. She nods her head a couple of times, and I see her having to bite down on her bottom lip to control her own tears. “Then
let’s get married, beautiful.”

***

Well, our wedding was a success and went without a glitch. Surprised? Well, so am I. An actual day past by without any drama. She cried, I cried more, and then it all became official. Standing beside me right now while the photographer finishes up doing his thing, is Mrs. Alexis Rose Taylor.

We’ve already had the family and friend’s pictures taken, and now we’re onto the ones of just the two of us. I can hear Holly giggling behind me, and when the photographer stops to change a couple of settings on his camera, I glance over my shoulder and see why.

Rye has her up high on his shoulders, and he’s running around in-between the trees making horse noises. Alexis digs me in the ribs, and brings her hand to cover her mouth, laughing lightly and shaking her head when she sees the sight before us, “Do you think he and Alyssa will ever have kids together?” I glance down, looking right at her as I ask.

“What? Yeah … I mean, no. Maybe, I don’t know. Why did you a
sk me that? Yes! No! I love you.” She stands on her tiptoes, and kisses me real quick on the cheek before turning to look the other way.

Yeah, I don’t think so, beautiful.
I shake my head, and place my hand underneath her chin, tilting her head up high until I can see directly into her eyes. All I did was ask her one question. A casual question, but from the way she reacted just now, I have a feeling that she’s hiding something from me here.

“Beautiful?” I cock my head to the side, and she hesitantly peeks up at me. Then? Then I see it. My eyes widen
, and my jaw practically hits the ground. “They’re having a—?”

“Shush!” she hisses, and places her hand up to cover my mouth, her own eyes widening now as she glances around the two of us. “She hasn’t told him yet!” She face palms herself, but I see a smile crossing over her lips. “She’s worried he’s going to freak out on her.”

“Yeah, I bet!” I laugh out. I don’t think I wanna be around when she does tell him. Only earlier today he said that he didn’t wanna get married. Sure, he hasn’t mentioned kids, and I’ve gotta admit, he’s an awesome uncle to Holly, but somehow I think he’s gonna be pretty pissed when she does finally tell him. Hell, having kids is a bigger commitment than getting married.

“Congratulations, buddy,” Rye throws his arms around the two of us after he’s placed Holly back down on her feet. He reaches down and straightens out her dress before she grabs a hold of both mine and Alexis’ hands.

“Did we manage to persuade you to change your mind on the whole wedding thing yet?” I ask him, and laugh when his face immediately falters. “Yeah, I didn’t think so.”

“I think it’s time to throw the bouquet!” Alyssa chimes over to us, and the four of us make our way back
toward the front of the chapel.

I grip onto Alexis’ hand
, and she throws a wide smile right back at me, “What time is the cab taking us to the airport?” I ask her, and see Holly skipping happily in-between the both of us. She glances to the white gold bracelet watch I gifted to her for her birthday last year, and her smile widens.

“In ten minutes!” I can see the excitement filtering into her eyes already, and we’re not even gonna reach our destination until tomorrow evening. “Okay, are you ready?” She calls out before turning around, and I head over to join Rye while the seven women stand behind Alexis.

“What are the chances she doesn’t catch that thing,” Rye grinds out through his teeth, with worry etching over his entire face. “Buddy?”

I study him for a couple of moments, and turn to look over at Alyssa. The likelihood? I’d say slim to none that she won’t. Why? Well, if you’re seeing the same thing that I’m seeing then you’d be in complete agreement with me. She’s waving her hands around in the air, and pushing all the other ladies back whenever they try to move in front of her. Her stance? Well, she looks like she’s ready to pounce, like a predator hunting its prey. Do I answer him? No. I really don’t wanna be having to walk around with a black eye while I’m on
my honeymoon, thanks.

Alexis counts to three, and then I see her swing her arms in the air, letting go of the bouquet of tulips before turning back around to see which direction they headed.

“Oh shit!” Rye practically doubles over with laughter when we see Alyssa taking a dive forward. Both of her feet leave the floor, before she lands on the ground on her hands and knees while letting out a loud screeching sound. “Tell me, I can’t look. Did she get it? Please. Please God tell me she didn’t catch that fucking thing!” He’s turned the other way, and his hands are covering his eyes now.

“I’m not sure,” I say, and stand a little straighter while I try to get a look. Alyssa’s face is thunderous, and she brushes her hands over her dress as she tries to stand. Her hair has fallen loose
, and she actually looks like she’s done a whole day in the gym. But, she’s empty handed. “You’re safe, bro.” I say, and turn back around. His shoulders immediately relax, and I laugh ever harder than I did before.
