His laughter made her smile. “If you peek, it won’t be a surprise.”

“Just give me a hint.”

He shook his head. “We’ll be there in a minute and then you can see what’s inside.”

“Where?” She looked out the window, and noticed how close to the coast they were. “The beach?”

“Yes, nothing like a picnic on the beach to celebrate our first day together.” He maneuvered the car into a parking spot.

A lump blocked her throat. Oh, brother. His words made her mushy inside. She summoned up a smile when he opened her door and held his hand out. “I think a picnic is a perfect celebration.”

An hour later, Beth sighed and propped herself up on her elbows against the blanket Jake spread on the sand. Dinner was finished and her stomach groaned at all the food she’d eaten. She didn’t regret one second of it.

Lying there she realized how much she enjoyed being with Jake and spending time with him. And she knew if he asked her to spend the night in his bed, she would. She wanted to make love to him again. And she wanted to explore that wicked gleam he had in his eyes when he talked about his toys.

She glanced out at the water, watching the sun as it began its descent behind the Pacific Ocean. The sky filled with pink, yellow and orange colors, reminding her of a beautiful summer night.

“Tired?” Jake asked.

“Content.” And it surprised her. But she was very content. It wasn’t a feeling she’d had often in her life. Rosie barked and Beth turned her gaze to her dog.

Rosie was chasing the sea foam on the beach and Beth couldn’t help but laugh at her dog’s antics.

“She’s having a good time,” said Jake.

“Yes. Rosie likes nothing better than to chase things she can’t catch.”

Jake chuckled as he settled back against the boulders which sheltered them from the wind. Her arms twitched and she knew they were falling asleep, she sat up and shook her arms.

“Okay?”

“Fine. My arms were falling asleep.”

“Come here.” His hands curved around her shoulders and maneuvered her between his spread legs. “Lean against me.”

The heat from his chest seeped into her spine when her back came into contact with him. She sighed and let her head rest against his shoulder.

“This is nice.”

“Yes, it is.” His arms encircled her, his hands coming to rest over the top of hers where they lay on her stomach.

“You know, this brings back memories of high school.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah.” She watched the wave’s crash to shore then recede. “My senior year, Ricky Foster took me to Baker Beach.”

“Should I be jealous?”

A small rumble in his chest let her know he was laughing. “Oh, yes.” She grinned. “Ricky was the quarterback of the football team and the most sought after senior guy. He gave me my first kiss that night.”

Jake shifted. “First kiss? You mean first senior kiss?”

“No, boy-girl kiss.”

“That’s a little late to have a first kiss.”

“Yeah.” Her mom had changed residences so much that Beth had little time to have boyfriends, or friends for that matter. This had been the first time she’d spent more than six months at the same school.

His fingers cupped her chin and tilted her head up. “Well, I think it’s time to replace that kiss with another one.”

His mouth covered hers, his tongue parting her lips. With a sigh, Beth pressed herself deeper into the kiss. She loved the way his lips felt against hers, soft, wet and sexy.

They were both breathing hard when he lifted his head. Gazing up in to his face, Beth saw there was more to Jake than a one-night stand He was a relationship guy. And while that wasn’t a bad thing, it wasn’t for her. But she wasn’t going to worry about it now. This weekend was for them and she wanted to learn more about his toys.

“What are you thinking?”

“Nothing.”

“You’re blushing.”

“I am not.” She lowered her chin.

“Yes, you are.” He tilted her face back up again. “I can see your face, you can’t lie. Come clean.”

“I normally don’t pick up men and sleep with them.” She took a deep breath and let it out. “And I’m not all that familiar with adult toys.”

“I kind of figured you were innocent in both one-night stands and toys.”

“How?” She frowned at him. “I mean, what gave me away?”

“You were so nervous in my apartment. A woman who’s slept around wouldn’t be nervous. Anxious maybe.”

“Yeah, well…” She ducked her head again. She didn’t want to have this conversation, but he wasn’t going to let it go.

“I want to make love to you, Beth. I want to play with your body, show you what fun we can have. But I don’t want you running out on me again because something has frightened you. Think carefully about this, because I want more than this day.”

Her heart pounded and moisture gathered between her thighs. Her skin heated with the thoughts of what he wanted to do to her. And she was going to let him. She was going to explore this thing between them. “I can’t make any promises for the future, but I won’t run out on you in the morning.”

“I can accept that.” His mouth brushed against hers. “For the moment.”

Within minutes, they were packed up and driving to the hotel. When they got caught at another red light, she stifled an impatient sigh. She wanted him to hurry before she changed her mind and chickened out.

She looked at Jake to find him watching her.

“I feel like a kid who’s been told he can have anything he wants in the toy store,” he said.

His words chased away her nervousness. “Me, too.”

His grin lit up the night sky, then he reached across and tucked her hand in his. The light changed and they took off. He never let go of her hand. Not until they reached the hotel, but he only let her go long enough to get out of the car with Rosie.

Taking her hand, he half ran down the sidewalk to their room. He pushed open the door and guided her inside along with Rosie.

“Finally,” said Jake, mere seconds before his lips came down on hers. Rosie’s leash hit the floor.

She parted her lips, allowing his tongue entrance. Her arms wrapped around his neck, her fingers stroking his soft hair. Her pussy pulsed with need for this man.

He began unbuttoning her blouse. She moaned into his kiss when the back of his hand brushed over her breast. Finding the waistband of his jeans, she tugged his shirt from it.

They parted long enough for her to drag his shirt over his head and to allow him to sweep her blouse down her arms and let it fall to the floor. Tilting her head, she nuzzled his neck, her tongue stroking his rapid pulse.

“Beth.” He sounded like he was in pain. “Please.” He pushed her away to arm’s length.

“Did I do something wrong?”

“No. You’re doing everything right.”

“Then why did you stop me?” She ran her hands over his hard chest and down to his flat abdomen.

He placed his hands over hers. “We need to slow down. The first time was so fast. I want this to be more romantic.”

“What could be more romantic than making love to the man who gave me such a perfect day today?” She arched her hips rubbing them against his. He was the only man who could affect her like this. Who could make her forget everything except him?

“What about a nice, long, soapy shower?”

Her bones melted at the husky tone of his voice. “Sounds good.” She took a step back and tugged his hand.

Rosie barked, startling them both. Jake glanced at the door and swore. Beth followed his gaze and blushed again.

The door stood wide open, anyone walking by would have seen her and Jake. “I guess we kind of forgot about Rosie and the door.”

“We sure did.” Slipping from her grasp, Jake picked up Rosie and shut the door, throwing the dead bolt.

“I’ll meet you in the shower.” She had to get out of here before she begged him to take her on the floor, or worse, she threw him to the floor and had her way with him.

Beth sauntered across the room and disappeared into the bedroom and Jake finally breathed again, running his hand through his hair. Thank goodness for Rosie. Otherwise, he might have taken Beth right there on the floor, door wide open where anyone could see them.

Thank God no one had strolled by. He could just see the headlines of tomorrow mornings papers if that happened.

“Be a good girl tonight, Rosie.” He sat Rosie on her makeshift bed, then set two doggie cookies on the blanket before making his way into the bedroom. He grabbed his black suitcase and opened it. Oh, yes, they were going to have fun.

Steam greeted him as he slipped into the bathroom. He could see the outline of Beth’s body behind the glass. Stripping his clothes off, Jake opened the glass door and stepped into the shower.

Beth turned and his mouth dropped open at the sight of the water cascading off her pert breasts, her nipples pink and ripe. Water clung to her neatly trimmed curls. His cock stiffened. Gritting his teeth, he reminded himself that he wanted to make this romantic, to take it slow.

Thankfully he had the foresight to put some of his toys in the shower before they went out. Reaching out, he took her hand in his. Her fingers were curled into her palm. He unfurled them one at a time, and kissed each digit in turn. A shiver swept through her body as he continued his upward journey to her shoulder.

Then he turned her until her back was to him, his lips trailed over her shoulder blade before he kissed his way down her spine. Grabbing the suction cup footrest off the shelf, he placed it on the tile wall.

When his palms covered her delectable ass, the soap she held in her other hand fell to the floor. He caressed the firm globes before kissing his way down the back of one thigh and up the other.

“Jake.” Her soft, silky voice made him smile against her skin. Spanning her waist with his hands, he turned her, then he kissed her hip, across her stomach and down to the front of her thigh.

His fingers slid from her hips to the inside of her legs, his palm cupped her right inner thigh and he lifted her leg and guided her foot into the foot rest. She didn’t resist, only adjusted her stance so she was open to him. He leaned forward and inhaled her musky scent. Her scent went to his head and south. His erection swelled and he shifted on the balls of his feet. He tilted his head back to look up. Her eyes were closed, head thrown back, mouth open as water cascaded over her hair. Her breasts shook with each shallow breath she took. He dropped his head back down and licked her slit.

“Jake,” she breathed out his name in a husky breathless tone which went straight to his groin.

But it didn’t matter what he wanted, this was for her. His tongue parted her slit, licking her pussy lips, careful not to touch her clit. Up one fold and down the other. Honey and sweetness flowed from her and he wanted more. His tongue slipped inside her pussy. She cried out in pleasure and her hands tangled in his hair. To hold him there or to make him stop, he didn’t know or care.

More honey filled his mouth as his tongue licked and flicked around her pussy until her body trembled, then he slid his tongue up to her clit and drew it into his mouth.

Another cry left her lips. She let out several mewls as she ground her pelvis against his mouth. Keeping his tongue playing with her clit, he slid two fingers down to her pussy and thrust them in.

This time she moaned, her pussy tightening around his finger. She shifted her stand as he thrust his fingers in and out of her wet pussy, until he curled them upward hitting her G-spot. She cried out as her climax overtook her.

Jake stilled his fingers while her orgasm swept through her. Her pussy tightened around his fingers, her clit pulsing against his tongue. When the trembling stopped, he withdrew his fingers and kissed his way up her body.

By the time he was standing, her arms were wrapped around his neck, her cheek rested against his shoulder, her breath hot and moist against his skin. Water pelted her back while he stroked up and down her spine until the last shudders left her body.

“More, Jake. I want more,” she whispered.

“That was just the appetizer.” He turned off the water, gathered her into his arms and stepped out of the shower.

Grabbing the towel, he set her on her feet and dried her off, kissing his way up and down her body as he did so. He wanted her, his cock screamed for him to take her. And he would. But not in the bathroom. No, they could do that later.

He used one hand to dry himself off before sweeping her back into his arms and striding into the bedroom. He knelt on the mattress and placed her in the center.

Their lips found each other in a hot, wet kiss. He pressed her back against the mountains of pillows, breaking the kiss long enough to kiss her forehead, her eye lids, her nose, only to claim her mouth again.

His fingers found her breasts and caressed, squeezed and pinched, enjoying the way her nipples grew hard. His mouth devoured hers as she bucked against him, their tongues dueling with each other, retreating, only to come together again.

His hands slipped from her breasts to her back, then to her ass, kneading her firm flesh, before dipping between the cheeks. She squirmed in his hands, her nails digging into his back, before scraping down his spine to his ass.

God, he wanted this woman. Breaking the kiss, he stared down at her flushed face. “Hands over your head.”

Her eyes widened, but she did as he told her. Leaving her firm ass, he found the restrains and looped them around her wrists. She jerked her arms, but she couldn’t lower them. Excitement warred with anxiety, but this was Jake. “Umm, Jake?”

“Yes, my sweet.”

She tugged at her hands and Jake gave her a grin. “If your arms start to ache or you want me to release you just tell me.”

Beth nodded, taking a deep breath and releasing it, letting the tension flow out of her.

“Now I can play with you.” Reaching over, he pulled a piece of ice from the ice bucket he’d set on the nightstand earlier.

“Jake,” she whispered.

“You’re so beautiful.” His lips trailed over her forehead, then down the side of her neck, to her shoulder.

“What’s the ice for?” There was a slight tremor in her voice.

He smiled against her skin. “To play with.” He brought his hand down and rubbed the ice over her erect nipple.
