“You have a housekeeper?” I asked, only to realize rather quickly he would obviously need one, it’s not like he couldn’t afford it. “Sorry, of course you would. It’s just a lot to get used to. I’ll get dressed.”

I stood up from the bed, wondering how the hell was I going to go downstairs and get my bag.

“You are not seriously considering getting your stuff from downstairs are you? I told you not to bother. I may not have contacted you while I was here, but I did think of you every damn day Alexia. Baby, head to the walk-in closet by those doors, I’ve already bought you your clothes.” Happiness began to overflow as I ran to his arms. “Thank you Lukas.”

Once I was done ogling and drooling over the clothes he had gotten me, I headed down the stairs into the kitchen area where a nice older lady, maybe in her fifties, was busy cooking with her back to me.

“Um excuse me? Do you know where Lukas is?” I asked trying not to scare her. I hated it when people sneaked up on me, especially in the kitchen. She turned around and stopped dead, like she had seen a ghost. “I’m sorry for scaring you, that wasn’t my intention.” I said quietly. She regained her composer and smiled.

“It’s ok dear, I didn’t get scared. He’s outside on the patio. Just go through the living room and you’ll see the doors that lead you to the outside.”

I thanked her and made my way through the living room to a covered terrace with hanging plants. He was seated on a patio chair reading his newspaper. I pushed the doors open. The moment he saw me, he smiled.

“Hey babe done being speechless over the clothes I got you? If you are, come here and sit next to me.” He had his iPad and newspapers around him, drinking his coffee and going over some papers he had.

“What’s her name?” I whispered, nudging my head towards the kitchen.

“Mrs. Thatcher, why?”

I rolled my eyes “I want to know.” I saw her coming towards us, her hands full. That’s when I got up and opened the door for her.

“Thank you my dear.” I reached for the tray in her hands and took it. “Let me help you at least.”

She smiled. “You’re quite different aren’t you?” I blushed at her comment, Great! She saw it too. “It’s a good thing sweetheart.” She offered.

I put the tray on the table and placed the food in front of us.

“What would you like to eat this evening Mr. Blakk?”

“Whatever Alexia wants.” Not looking up from his papers. At that moment his phone rang. “I need to take this call babe, sorry.” He walked into the penthouse leaving me alone with Mrs. Thatcher.

“So what would you like to eat my dear?” She turned to me and smiled.

“If it’s ok, can we cook together? I have a feeling that Lukas will be leaving soon.”

She looked perplexed. “But he insisted that he would be home for the next few days.” I gave her the ‘are you serious look’. I knew those phone calls. My parents got them all the time. I could tell by the ring; come, come, come. I swear to you that’s how it always sounded.

Lukas walked back in growling.

“Something wrong?” I asked sarcastically, knowing what he was about to say.

“I need to go into work, but it will only be a few hours.” I looked at Mrs. Thatcher with the ‘I told you so’ look. “You’re good.” She murmured.

I smiled “I know.”

Lukas was off and Mrs. Thatcher and I went grocery shopping. I was so excited to see New York. But all she could do was take me to all the exotic little grocery stores, which had ingredients that I heard about. I wasn’t unhappy since it was something different. I had decided to cook for us so I ran around buying the ingredients I needed.

She was a really nice lady and she talked a lot about her family and her husband. She told me how they met and started a family. She hardly said anything about my Suit, but I figured she was probably instructed not to.

We were cooking in the kitchen when Lukas got home. It was well past a few hours that he promised. My heart hurt a little, but I had told him that I would understand so I let it go. I promised myself that I wasn’t going to press the issue. I had made a Greek meal of lamb and orzo in the oven. I bought us a nice red wine, which Mrs. Thatcher and I had already started to drink.

“And then he said…oh Mr. Blakk I’m so sorry.” She bowed her head a little. Did everyone do that with him?

“Its fine, I didn’t realize you were still here.” He said walking passed her.

“Well Alexia is so delightful I forgot the time. I should be leaving.” I stopped her.

“Not before you bring some food home to your husband. You said you wanted to try it.” She gave a quick look to Lukas and he nodded slightly.

“Thank you.”

“I’ll be upstairs for a few minutes, call me when the food is ready.” He said it so coldly I swear I needed a sweater at that moment. He must have brought with him the arctic cold. I didn’t know if he was angry with me or Mrs. Thatcher, but I wasn’t about to let him yell at her because of me.

The food was ready and I set the table, Mrs. Thatcher had left with a Tupperware of food. I walked up the stairs to the bedroom. I knew his study was next door. I quietly knocked on the door. I could hear him on the phone, he was yelling at some incompetent fool as he put it.

“Your stupidities ruined my fucken day Charles, if I have to come to work tomorrow for your idiocy I will find someone else to do your job. Do not think I like being trifled with!” He stopped and only started after a few moments later. “I thought so, now do your damn job.” He slammed the phone down nearly breaking it. His back was to me so he hadn’t noticed that I was in the room with him. He put his hands on his waist and looked up to the ceiling. “Fuck.” He gritted out.

“Lukas” I said quietly, he’s shoulders relaxed, but I can tell he was still angry.

“What is it?” He nearly bit out.

“The food is ready.” I said so quietly it sounded like a whisper. This Lukas made me nervous, scared even. He stood silently for a minute.

“The food” he hissed. “Fuck the food Alexia!” He barked at me, his back still facing me.

“Work was bad?” I was tight roping here, not knowing which lines not to cross.

“You think?” Back to sarcastic Suit I see. “Alexia, do me the favour…” The tone he took with me was too much for me, I might have been scared, but I wasn’t about to let anyone talk to me that way.

“You listen you ass, I spend the whole day cooking for you, you are going down there and you’re going to enjoy it, no complaints.” He turned around and glared at me. I swallowed hard, maybe the yelling technique wasn’t a good idea.

He walked passed me, his arctic winds giving me shivers. He marched to his closet and took out some clothes. Ok, so he was ignoring me, which meant that, that tactic didn’t work. He slammed the door to the bathroom and I could hear the shower start.

I sat on the bed waiting for him to finish. When he emerged he was fully dressed with a dark grey V-neck shirt and jeans. He went right back to his closet and chose a pair of shoes. He still ignored me and headed downstairs, the only other thing I heard was the door slam shut.

“Great! My first time in New York and I’m stranded in a gorgeous penthouse, with a raging loon.” I screamed to myself. I sat on the bed for a while not knowing what to do first. Ah fuck it, I picked myself up and headed downstairs. Mrs. Thatcher had shown me where the music dock was, since I had planned a nice evening for us. That was obviously shot to hell. I took my iPod and chose to listen to some Philip Glass. I put on his album Glassworks. The eerily quiet penthouse was now filled with sounds of his piano as the song Opening began to play.

I sat onto the counter, crossed my legs and brought the plate in front of me. On the counter were the two bottles of wine I had bought us, in all fairness it was only a bottle and a half, Mrs. Thatcher had a glass.

The food was good and so was my wine. I tried to focus on my excellent skills, trying desperately to push Lukas’ behaviour out of my mind, but every time he crept back in, I swore. I watched as the night took over the skies of Manhattan. I would have left, but I would have no way back in, I had no key or access card. I felt like Jane, a caged bird that Lukas would use anytime he needed. I only noticed that I had finished my second bottle of wine, when I tried endlessly to get more out of it. I grew angrier so I reached for my phone. With my liquid courage, I fired him a text.

i loved my first day here, thank u soo much 4 insisting i come. it was well worth the wait of sitting in ones home, enjoying the view of the city. a perfect metaphor for u and me, I’m caged by circumstance only allowed to see what u want me to see.

Screw you Lukas and ur shitty days.

I put my phone down and walked up to take a shower, Philips Glass’ music still playing throughout the penthouse’s speakers. His beautiful music was calming my very melancholy soul.

I could feel the spins coming, it was time to sleep this off, but I wasn’t going to stay in his room. Fuck him, the asshole, always pulling at my heart strings, not understanding how much I wanted to see him or be with him. I wore my baby doll nightgown and took a blanket with me. I lay down on his leather couch, the cold leather slightly sobering me up, but with the amount I drank nothing was going to help me, but sleep. Both my eyelids and body grew heavier as sleep pulled me in.

I opened my eyes slowly when I felt a slight touch to on my face. Lukas was sitting on the coffee table in front of me. I glared at him through my still slightly drunk eyes.

“I’m sorry.” He murmured, his breath was heavy with whiskey.

I moved away from his touch. “I fucked up, Alexia, I’m sorry.” I ignored him again. He screamed out his fuck so loud it jolted me up. “Why the fuck do I keep fucking it up with you?” He stared down at me. “I haven’t been able to see you in days and when I finally get to, some idiot screws up at work.” He took a deep breath in. “I wanted so badly to spend the day with you that I grew angrier by the minute. It pissed me off even more when I came home and saw that you had a good time without me, like you didn’t care that you didn’t see me.” I waited until he ended his rant, “I never felt like this before, losing control is not what I do.” He ran his fingers through his hair frustrated with himself. I reached over and took his hand into mine, pulling him to me. He came willingly.

“Lay down.” I said, understanding how he felt. I lied down on top of him. “Of course I wanted to spend the day with you, but what was I going to do, sit here and pine? I went out and just like you, I thought about you the whole day. I was going to cook us dinner and I was going to let you take me out for drinks, but let’s face it you fucked that up royally.” My hair cascaded down my face, Lukas pushed it back behind my ears.

“I’m so sorry Alexia.” He said softly.

“How much did you drink?” I asked wary of the answer.

“How much did you drink?” He asked me.

“Pass” I said not wanting to answer him, he laughed.

“God I…” He stopped and stared at me. “Come here, I’ll start by making it up to you right now.” He rolled me over and pulled me up to sit up on the couch.

“Nice!” He tugged at my night gown, which was a little too short. He reached his hands underneath and pulled my panties off. “Already wet. Very nice Alexia.” He slid his knuckle against my wet folds. He undid his zipper and his perfect erection came forward. I took a deep breath, still a little sore from last night. He pulled my legs making me come closer to him. I could feel him pushing in hard and fast, he made no apology about wanting me. I loved the way he felt inside me, my pussy molding around him, tight and damp. He pulled out.

A wicked grin spread on his face, as he surged back in and a delicious sting ran through my body. He was possessing me, marking me, wanting me, his dark desire pushing me forward. He pulled me up. “God, I need to be deeper in you now.” He growled as he grabbed my waist losing all control. “Who do you belong to?” He grunted. “I’m yours.” I mewed. He hammered forward harder now. “That’s right baby, you’re mine.” He reached for my clit and ran his fingers around it. “Lukas, I want to cum.” I cried out, he pulled himself from me. “Do you want to cum or do you need to cum?” He barked at me. The void he left was too much for me. He continued to play with my clit in a slow unforgiving way. “I want to cum.” I managed to say, “Well that’s not the same baby, so no.” He savagely pushed inside me, my back arched. “Lukas please!” I begged, “I need to cum.” He continued until he nearly lost all control. “Cum now before I completely lose it.” He commanded in long fast strokes, my body went limp. I tried to cry out but I couldn’t. I collapsed underneath Lukas, as he hammered hard inside me, calling out my name. His body fell on top of me. I hardly had the strength to wrap my arms around him. Sweat was dripping down his back as my fingers grazed him. He bent over me, his head leaning against my chest. “I l…” He stopped again. He pushed his head harder into my chest, which startled me from my trance. I pulled his head back, he hesitated but then gave in.

He was in pain, a pain I didn’t understand. I could see the beginning of his tears. It was like someone had taken a hot needle and pierced my heart. “Lukas” I managed, half smiling. He needed confronting, from what I didn’t know. I pulled him into my embrace, shielding him from whatever was hurting him. “Whatever it is, I’m here. I will always be here and no one will ever do anything to hurt you as long as I’m with you.” He stayed silent as he lifted me and pushed me back onto the couch pulling the covers over us. I held him in my arms, his head on my chest, his arms around my body. I caressed his head slowly as he fell asleep in my arms.
