like an attack with a running start or something . . .

shock and awe

The Geeks grumble on, complaining about why couples can’t just stand still at a traffic light, adding preposterous complaints about this or that ridiculous scenario, expressing anger and frustration as Train Man continues his attack.

I can’t understand why this hand-holding attack was more powerful than a plain old sex-attack.

What in the world have we . . . created

Could anybody have imagined he’d grow into such a beast?

In the beginning, it was just curiosity and perhaps a bit of sympathy.

Once he accepted our helping hand and heartfelt encouragement he then powered-up, got stronger and built upon that strength on his own.

And now, he has turned into a monster who has the power to crush us with his toenail.

I can’t tell if this is a victory or a defeat for us . . .

The fact that we have given birth to a monster who has far exceeded any of our hopes has nothing to do with our achievement as such, for what we did was merely awaken something that lay dormant in him, an instinct.

And so yes, in fact, yes, we have been defeated, we are forever chained to the cycle of defeat.

The restaurant we went to today really had an eclectic vibe.

Can I say, tinged with horror . . .

‘I’ve been wanting to try this place out~’ according to her. Me, I was way nervous.

Food-wise, it was majorly good.

Wasn’t too expensive either.

She ordered a cocktail and I said ‘I’ll have one of those too’

‘You drink cocktails?’

‘Just thought I should try what you’re having . . . ’

‘(laugh)’

Then she handed me Matrix 3.

Though we’d talked about it over e-mail, we talked some more about what she thought.

She’s got the hots for Keanu and me, for Smith.

The scene leading up to the Neo-Trinity kiss really pulled her in

and got her all anxious

so when they finally kissed, she really freaked.

As for me, watching that scene got me going you know where

I’ve been living in Tokyo for a long time but

I have no idea what restaurant you’re talking about

If it was in Nagoya, this is where I’d imagine you went

I imagined something similar, old-school Japanese tapas place only with prison decor

and we talked about commuting together in the morning while we talked, she kept getting sadder and sadder so I kept asking her if she was all right. In the end, it just sounded too difficult to coordinate, time-wise, so we just left it.

Then I gave her a printout of some info I had googled about fighting off train-pervs. I mentioned a few key pointers which I had memorised earlier. She kept thanking me over and over again bowing her head. I bowed a few times too.

Our bookings for the second place were creeping up on us so we left the restaurant a little early. We split the bill.

‘Isn’t it time you let me take you out?’ I asked jokingly to which she replied, quite simply, ‘no way.’

I’m not sure what the general vibe was so I may be reading too much into it but from Train’s comments, I get the feeling the morning commute situation is on the back burner for now.

And, about fighting off the train-pervs—well, instead of handing her a printout, I think it’d be better if you’d just told her what you knew.

That said, with Hermes’ massive good impression of Train, don’t think any of this even dents it . . .
