And then you guys get to know each other and start visiting each other’s house.

And let’s say that you start doing the back and forth between each other’s places.

Make sure you don’t forget to erase your favourites and wipe the history clean.

let’s stop pushing him any further.

no matter how you look at it, our smelly Geek words of comfort come second to Train’s own decision-making.

I love tea and collect all kinds of tea leaves.

I told a girl once.

Then she said

‘Gross. You just spoiled the tea . . . why don’t you go and boil some tap water and drink your fucking tea.’

Through it all, even I survive.

Hey Mum, sorry I haven’t been home in a while. I promise to visit soon . . .

Now that I’m full . . .

Well, I think I’m gonna go send her an e-mail.

couldn’t agree more

If she does come to the house

I think my parents would probably freak out

But I can’t have her over unless I completely renovate my room

I guess I’ll rent storage somewhere . . .

When the topic shifted to fashion, most of the Geeks lost interest but once the topic shifted back to Hermes’ PC purchase, the Geeks came to the table with loads of advice.

got a reply

all she needs is net access and e-mail

her budget is 1K

man, she’s rich

she’d prefer a laptop

and Windows for starters

no need for DVD

and

aiming for after payday

but I guess the laptop and router/modem would put you at that spec

Sony VAIO

NEC Lavie

Toshiba Dyna

Are the best buys

Personally, I recommend the NEC

Some time had passed after they purchased a laptop together

E-mail from Hermes.

H:

‘Mr Train, I don’t know how to do this . . . ’

T:

(since there’s no real reason to refuse . . .) ‘OK, I’ll be right over.’

While Train works on the PC, Hermes falls asleep. Train leaves quietly.

H:

‘Mr Train, I want to convert my CDs to MP3s’

T:

‘Sure, I’ll be right over.’

H:

‘Make sure you don’t leave without telling me.’

It is midnight by the time set-up is complete.

H:

‘How about some more personal stuff support?’

T:

(since there’s no real reason to refuse) ‘I’ll support you forever.’

copy+paste bits ringing all kinds of bells!!! Ah yeaaaah!!!

NEC has a good warranty and quite good support.

If you buy it from NEC Direct online then you can pick and choose the software you need. VAIOs are ridiculously expensive but the chicks dig it.

Oops, but I guess you can’t go buy it together if you get it online.

plus she doesn’t have net access

I’ll use the net access set-up as an excuse for going over to her house
