“Let me go,” I said, still struggling to get out of his hold.
“Not this time, sweetheart.”
“What do you want?” I asked him angrily. I felt his tongue slide down the side of my face, the feel of his spit slick against my skin.
“Payback. It’s because of you my friends won’t speak to me, so I figured it this way, you owe me and I intend on collecting,” he said fiercely.
He pushed me up to the front door. “Open the door,” he demanded.
“No,” I said immediately. He grabbed my hair, pulling so hard I winced.
“Open the fucking door, Violet, now!” he screamed. I put in my code and he opened it up then pushed me inside. He closed the door and as I heard the lock click, all I could think of was Chain.
