You’ve tried our sausage stew, now how about some nice warm and tasty pea sausage soup?

 

What you need?

  • 1 kg of split peas, dried
  • 1 kg of smoked sausage, sliced
  • 10 cups of water
  • 4 cubes of chicken broth
  • 2 large chopped carrots
  • 2 ribs of chopped celery
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic, powdered
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano, dried
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 bay leaves

 

How to make it?

Just put all the ingredients into your slow cooker and let it cook on low for 4 hours. Make sure to remove the bay leaves before serving.

You have probably tried tones of different French onion soups if you are a soup fan, but you should definitely try letting slow cooker make one for you!

 

What you need?

  • 6 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 large onions, sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of white sugar
  • ½ cup of sherry (for cooking)
  • 7 cups of beef broth
  • ½ teaspoon of dry thyme
  • Salt
  • French bread
  • 100 g of Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 100 g of Emmental cheese, shredded
  • 50 g of Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoon of Mozzarella cheese

 

How to make it?

You will first need to caramelize the onions by frying them in a pan oiled with butter you previously melted. After 10 minutes had passed, add sugar and stir for 30 minutes or until onion is browned. Next you will add the onions into the slow cooker, adding beef broth to it and adding the rest of herbs and spices. Cover it up and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Once the soup is done before serving toast the bread and mix up all the cheeses in one bowl. Before pouring the hot soup, place the cheese mixture on the bottom of a serving bowl letting the cheese melt.

Zucchinis and Italian sausage? Sounds tasty and delicious!

 

What you need?

  • 500 g of sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 kg of zucchini, sliced
  • 2 cans of diced tomatoes
  • 2 green bell peppers, seeded and cut
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano, dried
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning mixture
  • 1 teaspoon of basil, dried
  • ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 100 g of Parmesan cheese
  • Salt
  • 1 rib celery

 

How to make it?

First you need to heat up a pan and fry the sliced sweet Italian sausage. You will be frying it for 5 to 7 minutes and add the celery to the sausages to let it soften. Drain the grease from the sausages and celery and add the mixture to the slow cooker. Add the rest of the veggies, spices and herbs and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. When serving add a tablespoon of parmesan on the top and enjoy!

Cheese and potatoes? Can we make it better? Yes! There’s bacon included so it just got better. This is a soup that won’t surely leave you hungry.

 

What you need?

  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup of flour for all purposes
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 diced large carrots
  • 4 ribs of celery, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of dried garlic
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of chicken broth
  • 1 kg of russet potatoes
  • 100 g of Cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices of crumbled crispy bacon

 

How to make it?

Now there’s a bit work before you let everything cook slowly in your cooker. First you need to melt the butter into a pan and start with frying onion for 10 minutes or until it becomes yellowish. Add the flour as you are stirring until the mixture is smooth, gradually adding 2 cups of water. Once you are done with that, add the veggies from the list and add salt and pepper. Let it heat then add a cup of milk.

Add chicken broth to the vegetable mixture. Place the potatoes into the slow cooker and pour the vegetable mixture over it. Put some bay leaves. Cover it up and cook for 5 hour on high temperature. You can also have it cooked for 8 hours on low. Remove bay leaves and take 4 cups of soup out of the cooker. Puree the soup in the food processor and pour it back into the slow cooker. Add cheese and bacon, letting it melt and combine with the soup.

 

 

Healthy and delicious – veggie soups can make a day get better. Having everything cooking in its juices makes these soups even more delicious. Make sure you have at least one bowl of soup a day for great mood and well balanced diet!

 

Who doesn’t like baked potatoes, right? But, have you tried baked potato soup? Delicious!

 

What you need?

  • 10 red potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 1 medium red onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing mix
  • 3 tablespoons of all purpose flour
  • Fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper, ground
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 chopped green onions
  • Salt

 

How to make it?

Put potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker and pour the flour over it. Put onions, spices and herbs over potatoes along with water and start cooking. Once 7-8 hours had passed with your cooker set on low temperature add half-and-half and cook for 15 minutes more. Use cheddar and onions for garnish.

Another great soup you can cook in your slow cooker featuring potatoes as its main star. Healthy and delicious broccoli has its role as well.

 

What you need?

  • 6 potatoes, 4 cut in cubes and 2 diced
  • 1 head of broccoli, diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 6 cups of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh chives, minced
  • 1 cup of instant potato flakes
  • ¼ cup of bread crumbs, dried

 

How to make it?

Combine all the ingredients without bread crumbs and flakes and cook for 4 hours on low. Once the four hours had passed, add potato flakes and bread crumbs and cook for 30 more minutes.

Cold winter? No problem! This veggie soup will warm you up and make you pour another bowl.

 

What you need?

  • 100 g of green lentils
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • Half smaller cabbage, shredded
  • 1 can of whole tomatoes
  • 1 can of vegetable stock
  • 3 carrots, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper, ground
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • Salt
  • ½ teaspoon of dried thyme
  • Fresh basil
  • ½ teaspoon of curry powder

 

How to make it?

First you will cook lentils in a pot for 15 minutes. Dry the lentils then put them into the slow cooker adding other ingredients. Cook with occasional simmering for 2 hours on medium.

We haven’t had a single kale soup or stew recipe and since kale is rich in vitamins and minerals, here’s one great recipe!

 

What you need?

  • 2 cans of white beans, rinse those and drain them
  • 1 can of vegetable broth
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, chopped in tiny pieces or minced
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper, ground
  • 1 spring of fresh thyme
  • Salt
  • 2 bunches of kale, cut into small pieces
  • 1 celery rib, sliced
  • ½ garlic powder
  • 2 carrots, sliced

 

How to make it?

First put the beans into the pt with broth and spices and herbs. Let it cook for 8 hours on low over night. After 8 hours add kale, carrots, celery and garlic powder. Cook for an hour more or until the carrots are soft.

This recipe is practically a classic among soups and if you haven’t tried it yet, you can try and make it in your slow cooker.

 

What you need?

  • 6 cups of veggie broth
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 1 can of dried and rinsed kidney beans
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 ribs of celery, sliced or diced
  • 2 large carrots, diced
  • 1 cup of green beans
  • 1 small zucchini, cut into small pieces
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Minced fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon of dried thyme
  • Salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper, ground
  • Handful of macaroni
  • 200 g of fresh spinach, cut in small pieces
  • 100 g of grated Parmesan (finely grated)

 

How to make it?

So, what you need to do first is to put all ingredients together into the slow cooker, except from spinach and macaroni. Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 6 hours. Boil macaroni in a different pot in the boiling salty water for 8 minutes until soft. Add cooked macaroni and spinach to the slow cooker and cook for 15 more minutes.

  • 500 g beef, lean meat, finely ground
  • Broccoli – one head, cut into small pieces and cleaned
  • 300 g kale, cut in smaller pieces
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 3 cups of water
  • 3 spoons of flour
  • 2 spoons of butter
  • 1 onion, large, diced
  • Greek yogurt
  • Green onion per taste, diced

 

How to make it?

First you need to heat the pan and melt the butter on it. Add onion, garlic and ground beef. Fry it for about 15 minutes. Add to the slow cooker with broth, water and the rest of the ingredients. Cook for an hour on high temperature. Once an hour had passed, add kale and cook for 15 more minutes on high. Add Greek yogurt and green onions on top when serving.
