The cabin that was to be my new home was nice. Elena and Jo really made it look cozy and inviting. They had cleaned and placed candles all around. It was just the right size for us. It was one big main room with a wood stove, a small kitchenette, and a living area. It was closer to the Lodge then the last cabin we'd had.

There was a bedroom and bathroom off to the right, plus a loft for guests. Great! Jo could stay over and have the loft anytime she wanted.

We could eat up at the Lodge and hang out there, but I didn't mind cooking and would gladly do so for Veiko. I felt more in control of life then ever before. I put my personal belongings around the cabin making it even nicer. We had a home finally.

Elena and V were still teaching me my role as the vice president's old lady, along with when to keep my mouth shut. Elena had been a big help, telling me to ignore the sluts V had been with because I was his old lady now. They didn't mean anything to him.

I wasn't stupid, though. I knew he had some sort of sex with most of them. He had said, although I wasn't entirely sure, that he mainly let them blow him. V seemed to be straight up about what he'd done and he, too, told me to avoid those bitches. Especially Roxy, who thought she had a claim on him. He said she was crazy.

Since V wasn't around, I decided I would unpack more. Then, when I was finished, I’d wander the beach looking for driftwood until I could hear his bike come rumbling home.

CHAPTER 12

~

At a clubhouse in North Carolina, Rabid was able to give Thrash a few minutes of his time. Thrash had said he needed a sit down and he was sure it was about going home to New Jersey.

He really liked Thrash, He was loyal, his brother had made vice president, and he trusted him. They hugged each other and sat down to talk.

Thrash started, "Prez, I really need to get to Jersey. My ma is bugging me, I’ve got one artist stealing from me, and V is hooked up with an old lady."

"Veiko is hooked up? Interesting. Any bitch I know?" Rabid raised his eyebrows.

Thrash sighed. "Hell, I don't know who she is. My mother is bugging the shit outta' me and I need to find out which motherfucker is stealing from me. So if I could take off now, I'd appreciate it."

Rabid hated thieves, unless he was doing the stealing.

"You got any of our brothers working in the shop, Thrash?"

"Nah, some chick, whose fucking everyone. Hired her last minute when I went on the road with you. Should've known better, but live and learn. Unfortunately, it's shit only I can handle. You good with that?"

Rabid thought it over and replied, "How about you keep her around until I get back and let the club deal with her? I fucking hate thieves. We'll teach her to steal from a brother."

"Nah Rabid, her daddy’s state police - not worth the hassle. I'll take the loss or figure it out. Just want to start out today."

Rabid patted him on the back. "We're good. You need money?"

"Hell I won't lie and say I don't," Thrash laughed.

Rabid handed him a wad of cash and slapped him on the back.

"Be safe, Thrash, you're one of my best '
boys.
'"

Thrash was packed within the hour, made his goodbyes, and got on the road.

When he stopped for gas he made a call to Central Jerseys' club house. The message was to tell V he'd be coming; he’d be back in New Jersey by the next afternoon.

Thrash was exhausted, wondering if he should stop and rest. He really wanted to get home but he didn't want to go down on his chopper, either. Deciding on safety, he stopped in Delaware at the Bound for Hell clubhouse. At least he could get some speed there, even if he hated the shit.

The clubhouse was a nice one and the brothers were all pretty cool. Not a hot bed of bullshit like some of the clubhouses they had just been  too.

Thrash coasted into the lot. He looked for an opening in the long line of bikes. He finally found one and shut his engine down as he pushed backward into the space. He noticed Jersey right away coming toward him. He greeted him with a punch and a hug.

"Bro, good to see ya. Heading back home?" Jersey asked.

Thrash nodded. "Just came in for a bump of diesel to get me back on the road. You got?"

Jersey nodded and put his arm over Thrash's wide shoulders.

"Yeah, I’m on my way back  too. That crazy bitch wasn't worth my time - had all the crazy I needed back home. Let's do some lines and get in the wind."

The clubhouse was packed and Thrash was greeted by many. He was stuck there for a few hours and waited on doing his speed. Too many brothers were complaining about Rabid. He couldn't say much, but he noted who was pissed. Luckily, he was even able to get some sleep.

Jersey woke him a few hours later with coffee and a few lines.

"Let’s move, man. Rabid isn't liked here and you're one of his boys. The brothers like you but I'd feel better on the road. Fuckin' Rabid took some of the girls these guys liked and sent them to other chapters. You in with that shit?"

Thrash looked at Jersey and muttered, "Fucking Rabid is all over the place, stirring up shit. No, I’m not good with any of it."

"Bro, there's a lotta' talk going down at every clubhouse I've been to lately about removing him. Better make it known you aren't one of his 'BOYS' anymore. Your brother made it known that he and Nailz are ready to step in and they got a lot of backing. You with them?"

Thrash nodded his head.
Shit! What the hell were Nailz and V doing?
This talking shit could get them all killed.

"Jersey, spread it around to the loyal brothers. It's happening but I need to talk to Nailz and some of the others. Don't let anybody you aren't sure of know shit. I gotta speak to Levi a minute then we can head out," Thrash gulped down his coffee.

Levi was the Delaware president. Thrash was already aware he hated Rabid, so he told him that there was a take-down in the works and promised he’d keep him in the loop.

Jersey met him outside, a big man with flowing  hair he kept in a long braid. He was tattooed, had a hard body, and loved to fight. Women loved him. All he wanted was a good old lady - he was one of the few who wanted to settle down.

He had stepped down as a SAA when Rabid had become president. Jersey refused to be called one of Rabid's 'boys'. Rabid was always saying he should have his patch pulled, but nobody wanted to fuck with Jersey. He could blow your balls off easily and then continue to eat his sandwich.

Thrash was glad to have Jersey to ride with. It was always better to be riding with a brother, plus it was safer.

Thrash was riding hard, thinking.

His brother was powerful, Nailz, too, but would they be able to pull off this take down without repercussions? Thrash wanted to stay alive and keep as many loyal brothers alive as he could. He really wanted to ambush Rabid. He didn't think there was another, more reasonable way to be rid of him and his 'BOYS'. Selling women and forcing them into prostitution wasn't what the club was about. Yeah, they were doing illegal shit, but Rabid was going overboard.

At a rest stop, Thrash mentioned to Jersey that the best way to take care of the problem was to ambush Rabid, and he agreed. But, they also knew that other members in the club wanted to stomp him. Killing him was better for everyone. Merely pulling his colors wouldn't stop the bastard. Every bro was aware Jersey would love to end Rabid.

Thrash sighed with relief as they coasted into the lot of the clubhouse. Home at last!

Jersey would be happy too. Hell, the ladies - if you could call them that - loved this brother. He was loved by women and clearly loved them back; it came naturally to the bastard. Not that Thrash had problems getting women. He had more after him then he wanted or needed. Now, though, it was time to find Nailz and V.

Nailz was holding court at the bar when Jersey and Thrash strolled in. Both looked worn out from the ride back - Thrash more so as he’d been riding longer.

They nodded at each other, not sure if Flop had anyone spying on them.

"So, where is my little brother and who the hell is this chick that finally caught him?"

Nailz laughed. "She’s young, but your brother is hooked on that pussy. She’s actually nice and not like these sluts," he waved his hand at the collection of women scattered about the clubhouse.

Nailz continued, "She has this nutty lil' friend too. I've got some scores to settle with that chick."

He had both Jersey and Thrash nearly in tears as he told them about Jo and her pranks.

"Nailz, you got it bad for this chick, huh?" Jersey was bellowing with laughter.

Nailz looked at him with alarm. "Hell no! I got paybacks, that’s all. I gotta be sneaky because V will get pissed if Kima catches wind about it." Nailz abruptly changed the topic. " I gotta tell ya, things are changin’ around here."

Thrash nodded. "Yeah, we got change alright and I need to talk to my brother. I need to check my shop and when he rolls in we all gotta talk."

He looked at both of them with a hard, serious look. "Understand where I'm going? Shit, I'm going home to crash til' he shows up. Later."

Thrash dodged the women who wanted to come home with him and left Jersey with Nailz.

"Veiko be coming by soon? Or should we go find his ass? If he won't be around, I think I might sample some of the wares." Jersey was looking around.

Nailz was already dialing the Lodge to get a message to V to come up to the club house.

"Better to talk at Thrash's then here. And watch what you say to the sluts. I don't trust them as far as I can see 'em. Flop sent some new girls and I don't know em. Times ain't what they used to be, bro."

Jersey looked around and caught Pam's eye. He knew her well and decided he'd stick with what was familiar. She came over willingly, a happy smile on her face.

"Need something, Jerz? We can go over to my place. You look like you need food and a shower."

"Yeah, that would be good, Pammy. You wanna ride with me?"

"Of course," she purred.

Nailz shook his head as the couple left. All his brother's brains turned to mush when pussy was around, it seemed. He was still thinking of Jo and how much fun it was going to be when she got hers. Why the hell was that hippie chick on his mind so much? She was taking up too much space in his head. Hell, he had a party to organize.

"Prospects, up now! We got a party tonight so move your lazy asses! Bitches up and clean or get the fuck out! You don't work, don't be showing your faces here later. Got me?" Nailz barked loudly.

The club came alive with more speed than he’d expected. He got on the phone to order food and had prospects checking the kegs in the cooler.

Nailz had this down easily. Shit, he had nothing else to do.

CHAPTER 13

~

V was trying to explain to me why he and Hunter were riding and why I couldn't come with them.

"We need to talk to my brother, Babe. Club shit which I do not want you involved with. In fact, don't even mention tha

ne," he warned.

Elena finally had to step in, telling me it would be more fun to ride up with her and Jo in the truck so we could look our best. I still couldn't believe Elena and I had got Jo to go along, but I was sure Nailz would be happy as a pig in shit. V knew I was going to be safe with Elena and he took off for Thrash's shop.

Elena frowned at me. "Look, stick by me at all times when you aren't with V or by Nailz or Hunter. Jo, you  too. Not that anybody should give you a hard time but some of these club sluts, and some old ladies, don’t like me, and sure as hell won't like to see their VP taken. And Jo...face it there is something, not sure what, that’s going on with you and Nailz."

"No, we’re just friends, Elena. I don't do bikers and, again, how did you talk me into this?" Jo asked, blushing.
