Dear Reader,
We’ve reached the end of another series, and as was the case when I finished Texas Dreams, I’m filled with mixed emotions. There’s satisfaction at typing the final words of a trilogy, but I’m going to miss sharing my days with one of the Harding sisters. It was such fun bringing them to life for you.
The good news is that, although Westward Winds has ended, a new series is starting. For this one, I’m taking you to a very different time and place: a resort in the modern-day Texas Hill Country. Here’s a peek at what’s coming.
Nestled in the middle of the Hill Country, Rainbow’s End was a premier resort in its heyday. Unfortunately, that heyday is long past, and it’s now little more than a collection of dilapidated buildings set in the midst of some spectacularly beautiful scenery. Unless a miracle occurs, the resort will close at the end of the season.
Advertising maven Kate Sherwood has her life all planned, and that plan doesn’t include spending a month at Rainbow’s End. But family ties bring her to Texas, where she soon discovers that nothing—including the handsome handyman—is what she expected. I hope you’ll join me for Kate’s story, which will be available this fall.
While you’re waiting for that, I’m delighted to tell you that I’m part of Revell’s first novella collection,
Sincerely Yours
. In
this collection of stories by four different authors, four young women find their lives changed after each receives a letter that sets her on a new path toward a changed life—and perhaps lifelong love.
Sincerely Yours
will be released this April.
If
With Autumn’
s Return
was your first Westward Winds book, I urge you to pick up a copy of the others.
Summer
of Promise
is the story of Abigail, who’s convinced that Wyoming is the most boring place on earth until stagecoach bandits, a handsome Army lieutenant, and a mischievous puppy change her mind.
Summer of Promise
also introduces Charlotte, whose story continues in
Waiting for Spring
. You know that she marries Barrett, but I assure you that the road to happily-ever-after wasn’t an easy one for her.
I also hope you’ll visit my website (www.amandacabot.com) and sign up for my newsletter. I don’t issue them too often, but they’re my way of telling readers about new books and other good news. My email address and the link to my Facebook and blog pages are there too. I truly love hearing from you, so don’t be shy.
Blessings,
Amanda Cabot
Dreams have always been an important part of
Amanda Cabot
’s life. For almost as long as she can remember, she dreamt of being an author. Fortunately for the world, her grade-school attempts as a playwright were not successful, and she turned her attention to writing novels. Her dream of selling a book before her thirtieth birthday came true, and she’s been spinning tales ever since. She now has more than twenty-five novels to her credit under a variety of pseudonyms.
Her books have been finalists for the ACFW Carol award as well as the Booksellers Best and have appeared on the CBA bestseller list.
A popular speaker, Amanda is a member of ACFW and a charter member of Romance Writers of America. She married her high school sweetheart, who shares her love of travel and who’s driven thousands of miles to help her research her books. After years as Easterners, they fulfilled a longtime dream and are now living in the American West.
