“I’m
ready, baby. Fuck me, please,” Lee begged.

Erik
gave Lee’s hole a few more good thrusts before reaching for the condom. Lee
grabbed his wrist and said, “No rubber. I want you to fuck me bare.”

Chapter Seventeen

The
skepticism was evident on Erik’s face. “I know what you’re thinking, Erik, but
I’m clean. I haven’t had sex without protection in about five years, and I only
did it then because I was too high to give a shit. I know you’re safe, so
please, babe, I want to feel you. All of you.” Tag held his breath until Erik tossed
the condom aside. He rose up on his elbows so he could watch Erik slick his
bare cock. His heart was full at the trust the doctor was placing in him. If he
had his way, they’d never use a condom again.

“Grab
your knees and hang on,” Erik growled.

Tag
did as he was ordered. He didn’t have to wait long until Erik’s cockhead
breached his hole. “Aww, fuck.” He knew this was going to hurt. He would never
admit it to Erik, but he’d never bottomed for anyone except Cade, and his best
friend’s dick wasn’t nearly this large. He couldn’t help but tense up at the
intrusion.

“Do
you want me to stop?” Erik had already stopped pushing, but the head was still
inside.

“Fuck
no; just take it slow with that monster.” Tag tried his best to relax through
the pain. He knew what he was supposed to do. Knowing and doing were two
entirely different things when your ass was being invaded by a goddamn cannon.

“Relax
and push against me,” Erik soothed as he pressed a little farther into his
hole. Tag wondered if this was what childbirth felt like. Erik pulled out a
little and poured more lube on his dick. He laid his body on top of Tag’s and
took his mouth in a searing kiss. Their tongues were dueling for domination and
Erik’s was winning. The man was on a mission. He broke the kiss and bit down on
Tag’s bottom lip hard enough to draw blood.

“Ow,
fuck!” That shit hurt.

Erik
licked the blood from Tag’s lip. His eyes were filled with hunger. When Erik
pulled back slightly, Tag realized Erik’s dick was all the way in. He’d
distracted Tag from the pain in his ass with a different sort of pain. “You’re
evil.”

Erik
didn’t respond. Instead he began moving his hips. The man wasn’t in a hurry.
Erik was gliding back and forth at a steady pace. “Feel good?” the doctor
asked.

“Fuck
yeah.” Tag had never felt anything so fucking good in his life, and he’d had a
lot of sex. “It’s so different.”

Erik
closed his eyes. “Yeah, not having a barrier feels so... real.”

“I
wasn’t talking about the condom, Doc. I’m talking about you. Us.”

Erik
slowed his strokes even more. He opened his eyes and watched Tag’s face as he
lay underneath him. “Kiss me,” Tag said. In that moment, there was something so
much deeper between them, something he’d never felt with anyone. Especially not
Cade. “Please, Erik.”

Erik
leaned over his body once again, but this time the kiss was sensual. It
mimicked the way their bodies were moving together. Tag ran his hands through
Erik’s blond hair, loving the softness. He slid his hands down Erik’s back, all
the way to his ass. He didn’t squeeze, just enjoyed how Erik’s glutes bunched
and released with every stroke. Tag would love to have a mirror on the ceiling
so he could watch Erik from behind.

Erik
broke the kiss and said, “I’m going to fuck you now. Are you ready?”

“Yes.”
And he was. Tag was ready for whatever Erik would bring.

Erik
kissed his lips one last time before rising up on his knees. He lifted Tag’s
thighs higher, pulling his ass off the bed. Erik picked up the pace. He angled
his cock so he was hitting Tag’s prostate every few strokes. Tag thought his
head was going to explode. Both of them. He reached between their bodies and
grabbed the base of his dick. He didn’t want to come until he felt Erik’s
release in his ass.

“Fuck,
oh fuck, Doc…” Tag couldn’t hold off much longer. Erik grunted each time his
cock bottomed out. His eyes were closed and his grip on Tag’s thighs was almost
unbearable. He’d told Erik to mark him, and by god he was; inside and out.
“Gonna come, babe. Oh, shit.  Fuck…” Erik’s cock was buried deep inside, and Tag
shot his load onto his chest, some of it hitting him in the face.

Erik
moaned, “Lee,” as he pumped his hips in short strokes and emptied his sac into
Tag’s ass. Hearing his name at the same time his ass was being filled caused
Tag’s brain to short-circuit. When Erik collapsed onto Tag’s chest, he wrapped
his arms around the heavier man’s waist, rubbing at the sweat. He loved the
weight holding him down. He marveled at the still semi-hard cock invading his
ass. He relished the scent of Erik’s musk mixed with his bodywash. Tag inhaled
deeply in the crook of Erik’s neck, licking at the salty skin.

Tag
clung a little tighter when Erik tried to roll to the side. “Not yet. I want to
remember this feeling.” It was a feeling Tag had never felt before. Contentment.
Home.

Erik
rose up on his forearms and looked into Tag’s face. Was he content too? Did he finally
understand what Tag had been telling him? Erik’s emotions were hidden.  Erik
licked spunk off Tag’s face and neck. “Mmm, finally get a taste of you.” As
Erik slid farther down Tag’s body to lap up all the white liquid, his cock fell
out of Tag’s ass.

Tag
clenched his cheeks together, trying to hold in the remnants of Erik’s orgasm
as long as possible. He now knew one reason women got pregnant on purpose. Tag
wanted a part of Erik with him when they separated.
Fuck, man, get a goddamn
grip. You’re losing it.

Erik
kissed Tag’s stomach, delving his tongue inside his belly button. He bit at the
skin along Tag’s hipbones. He licked one of Tag’s nipples, biting down hard
enough to make Tag hiss. He licked the pain away before sucking the spot next
to it, leaving a purple mark. There was no ink on Tag’s chest to hide the
hickey.

Erik
stared at the mark for a beat. When he raised his eyes and looked at Tag, he was
smirking.  “Tonight you get to sleep in the wet spot.” He kissed Tag hard on
the lips before pushing up and sliding off the bed.

Erik
returned with a warm washcloth and cleaned the mess he’d made by not using a
condom. Tag’s mind was all over the place. He’d just had the best sex of his
life and not because of the massive cock Erik was swinging. It was because of
the emotional connection he felt with the doctor. He had ten days left to make
Erik feel it, too.

Tag
closed his eyes and listened as Erik went through his nightly routine of
checking on Delilah before setting the clock and turning off the lamp. Erik
slid in bed and pulled Tag close to him. Tag rolled over so he was spread out
mostly on top of his lover. Erik wrapped his arms around Tag and kissed his
hair. “Thank you. That was the best birthday I’ve ever had.”

Tag
snuggled in tighter, kissing Erik’s neck. He wanted to say “There’s plenty more
where that came from”, but instead, said a simple, “You’re welcome.”

Tag’s
morning started out the same as the last couple. Duke woke him, letting him
know Delilah was also awake. The more Tag was around Duke, the more he realized
how smart the dog really was. Sarah had trained him to be responsive to the
needs of an adult, so it wasn’t unbelievable Duke was in tune with a baby. What
amazed Tag the most was how Duke had a calming effect on Delilah. Even when she
was hungry or needed her diaper changed, she rarely cried if the dog was
around; merely whimpered at her discomfort. Thinking back to when he first met
Erik, Tag had thought it was the doctor who calmed his screaming niece. Now, he
had to think it was more Duke’s doing.

Duke’s
tail began to wag indicating someone was coming down the driveway. Since he
wasn’t getting up to see who it was, Tag assumed it was Echo.  Sure enough, the
backdoor opened, and his manager strolled in. “Good morning,” she said as she
placed her purse on the table. She walked over to the sofa and sat down beside
Tag.

“You’re
early. What’s up?” he asked, kissing her on the cheek.

“I
couldn’t sleep. And I thought you might want to have a little morning time with
your man,” she said, wiggling her eyebrows.

“You
little minx. Thank you,” Tag kissed her again and took off down the hall to
give Erik a proper good morning wake-up.

Erik
arrived home expecting to find Echo’s car in the driveway. When he saw one of
the SUV’s instead, he got worried. He didn’t bother pulling the Range Rover
into the garage. He parked and ran into the house, not knowing what he’d find.
Duke met him at the door, tail wagging. If Duke was happy, things must be okay.
“Hello?” Erik called out. Duke barked and trotted to the back door. Erik
followed him and went out onto the deck where Pauly was playing an acoustic
guitar while Gus fed Delilah.

“Hey,
Erik. Did you have a good day?” Pauly asked nonchalantly, like he and the big
bodyguard babysitting were nothing new.

“It
wasn’t too bad,” he replied. He watched in awe as Gus tossed a cloth diaper on
his shoulder before holding Delilah there to burp her.

Gus
patted her back and cooed, “Who’s a good girl? Who’s my princess?” Delilah let
out a big burp and Gus beamed. “That’s my girl.”

Pauly
caught Erik’s eye and winked. “Echo had some calls to make so she asked me to
come watch the girl for a while. Tag had a meeting with his lawyer, but he’ll
be here soon.”

“Yeah,
okay.” Erik felt like he was in an episode of the twilight zone. When he saw
that his yard had been mowed, he was really confused. “Who mowed?”

Pauly
pointed his thumb at Gus.

“Thanks.
But you didn’t have to do that. You guys want a beer or something?”

Pauly
said, “Please,” while Gus shook his head, “No, thank you.”

Erik
changed into jeans and a Polo before grabbing two beers out of the fridge. He
popped the top off and took them outside. When he sat down he asked Gus, “Do
you want me to take her?”

The
big guy kissed Delilah on top of her head. “I’m okay. That is, if you don’t
mind.”

“Not
at all.” It should amuse Erik to see someone like Gus with Delilah, but being a
doctor, he saw all kinds of parents. As long as they treated their children
with love, Erik didn’t care what they looked like on the outside.

Duke
barked and ran around the side of the house. Erik didn’t bother getting up. If
it was Lee, he’d follow the dog to the back of the house. If it was anyone
else, Duke would bark, letting him know it was a stranger. When Duke came
trotting around the house with his tail wagging, Erik smiled. His man was right
behind him. Lee climbed the steps to the deck, first going to Delilah and
kissing her cheek. “Gus,” he said and patted his bodyguard on the arm. “Pauly,
thanks for hanging out.” Lee and his guitarist bumped fists. When Lee got to
Erik, he pulled him out of his chair and kissed him soundly on the mouth. Lee
definitely wasn’t afraid of PDA in front of his friends. “Hi there,” Lee said
when he broke the kiss.

“Hi,
yourself. Would you like something to drink?” Erik asked, even though Lee had
no problem making himself at home.

“Actually,
I was hoping you’d take a ride with me. There’s somewhere I need to go, and I
would really like you to come with me.” Lee toed at some invisible speck on the
deck. Wherever he needed to go must be important.

“What
about Delilah?”

“We
got this,” Pauly said. “If that’s okay with you,” he added.

Erik
trusted Lee’s friends to watch after the baby. Since they didn’t ask where Lee
was going, either they already knew, or they really enjoyed watching after
Delilah. “Yes, of course. If you guys get hungry, there’s leftover barbeque in
the refrigerator. Please, make yourselves at home.”

Erik
patted Duke on the head, telling him he’d be back soon. Lee led Erik to the
Corvette and opened the door for him.

“Where
are we going?” he asked Lee when he settled into the driver’s seat.

Lee
turned and looked at him with sad eyes. “The cemetery.”

Chapter Eighteen

It
was three months to the day since Tag’s sister passed away. Three months since
he’d lost the one person he thought he couldn’t live without. Had she not left
a smaller version of herself for Tag to care for, he probably would have
already drunk himself into oblivion. The last leg of the tour would have been
wrecked, and the band’s good name trashed.

Now,
here he was, holding hands with someone else he was certain he couldn’t live
without. After talking to his sister, telling her all about how he and Delilah
met Erik and Duke, Tag swapped out the wilted white roses, for a new bouquet.

“Do
you bring roses because her middle name was Rose, or were they her favorites?”
Erik asked.

“They
were her favorites. But only the white ones,” Tag said as he crushed the petals
of the dried up bouquet in his hand. “I know she isn’t really here, but I still
crush the old ones, hoping some of the petals will somehow seep into the
ground.”

Tag
kissed his fingers then placed them on her headstone. “I’ll be on tour for a
while, but I’ll come back as soon as I can.”

Erik
stopped him from walking off and wiped the tears he didn’t realize were
falling. “I’ll come say hello while you’re gone,” he said as he brushed his
lips across Tag’s cheek.

Tag
nodded and cleared his throat. “Thank you.” He didn’t expect Erik to come visit
his dead sister while he was on tour. The man was just making him feel better.
They walked in silence to the car, and Tag drove off, lost in thought. About
half an hour later, he parked the Corvette at the curb of a small house. There
was a sold sign in the yard. “This is where I grew up. I lived here until I
moved in with the guys. Delilah moved out after high school, and when our
parents died, she moved back in. The house was paid for, so she didn’t have to
pay rent on a shitty apartment.

“She
was so independent. Here I was, making good money, and she wouldn’t let me help
her out. She had a good job, drove a decent car, made friends everywhere she
went. She loved me and was proud of what I’d become, but she refused to be
Taggart Lee’s sister. She was Delilah Holloway until the day she died.”

Erik
took Tag’s hand in his and laced their fingers together. “I wish I could have
met her,” Erik said, looking out the window.

“She
would have loved you.” Tag kept their hands joined and shifted the car into
first, easing back onto the road. “What about you? Where did you grow up?” Erik
tried to take his hand back, but Tag tightened his grip.

“I
grew up in Belle Meade between the former Governor and the Mayor. My father’s
name means more to him than his own son. Turn left at the next red light.” Tag
followed Erik’s directions until they were in front of a house as big as his
own. “My grandfather had money, and when he died he left it all to my father.
Even though he’s made a name for himself as a cardiologist, dear old dad hasn’t
done well enough to have all this,” Erik said as he gestured at the huge house.
Tag didn’t linger. He could tell how much it hurt Erik that his father had
turned his back on him.

“Thank
you,” Tag said, lifting Erik’s fingers to his mouth where he placed kisses
across his knuckles. “But enough sadness. Let’s get home to our girl and laugh
at the big bad bodyguard she has wrapped around her tiny little finger.”

When
they got back to Erik’s, both Echo and Sloane had arrived. The band had
rehearsed a couple of hours that morning before Tag went to have his attorney revise
Tag’s will. Since his sister was no longer living, Tag made baby Delilah his
sole beneficiary, adding Erik as his Executor. If things progressed the way Tag
hoped they would, he would change the will one more time.

Cade
was giving everything he had during practice, but other than that, he pretty
much ignored Tag. It bothered Tag, but not enough to do anything about it.
Silence was better than arguing.

“I’ve
never had so much company in my life,” Erik said as they got out of the car.
Duke bounded around the house, stopping first in front of Erik. After he
received his master’s love, he nudged against Tag’s legs.

“I
hope you don’t mind. The guys are trying to get in as much baby time as
possible before we go on the road. They like spending time with you, too. Your
house is a home, Erik. None of us have that.”

Erik
stopped walking. “What do you mean?”

“I
have a huge house, but all it’s good for is sleeping and playing music. The
closest it’s ever come to being a home was when Delilah was there. I’ve owned
that house for over five years. These last three months is the most I’ve ever
spent there. And you can see where I’d rather be. Where the guys would rather
be. I’m not trying to bring up bad memories, Erik, but think about the house
you grew up in. Just because it was worth more than most in Davidson County,
was it filled with love? What I’m saying is the people inside the structure
make it a home, not the structure itself. You have a lot of love to give, and
that feeling comes across to everyone.” Tag took Erik’s face in his hands.
“You’re the best man I know, Erik Henrikson. I think I’m going to have to fight
Echo for you. She’s threatening to stay here.”

As
if she heard her name, Echo interrupted their moment. “What are you two doing
out here?”

“Talking
about you,” Tag joked.

“Of
course you are.” Echo laughed and said, “You’re just in time for supper.”

Tag
wrapped an arm around Erik’s shoulder, and they followed the sound of music to
the back deck.

The
rest of the week flew by. Erik hired one of the women he interviewed on the
second day to take care of Delilah and Brady. He spent his days seeing patients
and his nights with a houseful of people. Lee bought the items to turn Erik’s
back room into a nursery. Erik protested, but Lee eventually won out arguing it
was for Delilah. He and Gus hauled the items to the office themselves after
Erik closed for the evening.  The three of them had put the cribs together
while Echo watched Delilah at Erik’s.

When
Lee started coming around the office, Erik had Laura sign a confidentiality
agreement. He and Bethany had talked about privacy when she visited for his
birthday party. He knew he didn’t have to worry about her. They had been
together a while, and Erik trusted Bethany probably more than he trusted
anyone. Until now.

When
Friday afternoon rolled around, Erik was tempted to skip his and Duke’s visit
to the V.A. center, but he had a responsibility to the Veterans even if he
wanted to avoid Sarah. When they arrived, Sarah and the puppies weren’t in the
training fence. When he entered the facility, he said hello to the
receptionist. After asking about her family, Erik inquired as to Sarah’s
whereabouts.

“I’m
surprised she didn’t tell you. She took a last minute vacation.”

“No,
I haven’t heard from her. Thanks.” Erik was worried about his friend. They had
never had a disagreement like the one they had before his birthday. It wasn’t
like her to avoid an issue, especially one with Erik. They usually agreed to
disagree and went on about their lives.

He
and Duke made their rounds and headed home. When he arrived, he was surprised
at the lack of vehicles. Erik had gotten used to having a houseful of people
over for supper. As soon as he entered the kitchen, Lee kissed him and told him
to pack a bag. They were going to have a baby-free weekend. Echo was watching
Delilah, and the two of them were going down to Chattanooga for some alone
time.

“Aren’t
you afraid someone will recognize you?” Erik asked as he packed some clothes
and his toiletries. Lee was sitting on the bed watching him.

“We’re
not going to sight see. The only sight I plan on seeing is you. I want
forty-eight hours of uninterrupted quality time with you, alone, before I hit
the road.”

Erik
didn’t want to think about Lee going on tour. The last few days had been
wonderful. With everyone hanging around his house, Erik felt like he had a family.
In less than a week, they would all be leaving him alone. He would miss them.

This
was a first for Erik. It was the first time he’d ever gone out of town with a
man. The first time he’d left Duke longer than a day. The first time he’d be
leaving Delilah overnight. Lee wrapped his hand around the back of Erik’s neck.
“She’ll be fine. Duke will take care of her,” he joked.

Echo
assured them she and Delilah would be fine. Both Gus and Mack, one of the other
bodyguards, were hanging out with her. Sloane and Pauly would be dropping by,
so both she and the baby would be covered.

Lee
made reservations at the Hilton under an alias, and they drove Erik’s car so
they would be less conspicuous. A couple hours later, they were checked into
their room and had unpacked the few items they brought with them. They ordered
room service complete with champagne. While they waited, Lee pulled a piece of
paper out of his bag. “I have something for you,” he said.

Erik
took the paper and unfolded it. He was holding Lee’s clean bill of health, and
it was dated earlier that week. He’d been tested again, just for Erik’s peace
of mind. “I guess we don’t need that new box of condoms after all,” he told
Lee. He handed the paper back to his lover and wrapped him in his arms.

Erik
couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weekend. They ate strawberries and
whipped cream. They ordered extra whipped cream that they licked off each
other’s bodies. They drank expensive champagne. Some of that had ended up on
their bodies, too. They gave each other massages using flavored oil. They
sucked and fucked. They showered and fucked some more.

Erik’s
favorite memory would be Lee lying on his back with his head hanging off the
side of the bed. He was sucking Erik’s cock upside down as Erik stood on the
floor. He’d watched his cock sinking into Lee’s ass while they were fucking. It
was a vision he would never tire of. Now, Erik was mesmerized at the sight of
his dick disappearing into the wet heat of Lee’s mouth. The outline of his cock
was visible in Lee’s throat. Lee wrapped his arms around Erik’s thighs, urging
him to go faster. At the last moment, Erik removed his dick from Lee’s mouth
and shot white streams of come over his chest and stomach.

Erik
climbed on top of Lee, pressing their chests together. He slid his body up and
down Lee’s, mixing the massage oil with the come. Lee flipped Erik over and
licked the mixture off his chest. Watching his talented pink tongue work its
magic had Erik getting hard again. The number of orgasms they had given each
other would be one for the record books.

Lee
licked his way up to Erik’s neck, inhaling deeply. “I’m going to miss your
scent,” he said as he kissed across Erik’s jaw.

“Is
that all you’re going to miss?” Erik asked as he grabbed Lee’s ass holding him
still. At some point they had to take a shower and head back home.

“No.
I’m going to miss your cooking,” Lee whispered against his mouth before licking
his lips.

Erik
laughed and flipped Lee onto his back. He rested on his forearms so he could
stare at the beautiful man below him. The last forty hours had lessened Erik’s
resolve. The silver key was currently resting in the dip of Lee’s throat. Erik
didn’t have to look to know it was there. All weekend it had been a constant
reminder of Lee’s words. Erik had gone a lot longer than three months without
sex, without any physical contact. Had Lee? Could Lee?
