“Because, now it’s your house, too,” Adam answered. He tried to pull off nonchalant but he was too excited to be convincing.

 

“But I didn’t buy it. You did!” Dillon protested.

 

Adam knew that argument was coming, so he was prepared. “So what? We both live here now. It’s our home, and I needed you to be represented in the ownership. You pay for half the bills, so you now co-own the home. I just have a few papers for you to sign to make it official.”

 

“Are you serious?” Dillon asked softly.

 

“Are you going anywhere else?” Adam asked smiling, knowing the answer already.

 

“No, of course not.”

 

“Well then, welcome home.”

 

Dillon smiled and tackled Adam against the bed. He was touched that Adam felt that way, but he didn’t need a piece of paper to tell him he was home.

 

He only needed Adam.
