Ice

Recommendation

  • Add ½ cup of pineapple for a little more sweetness. Not too much because you already have a good amount of lemon juice in there!

124. Queen Of Cress

The more I use watercress in certain smoothies the more I like it. Maybe you will develop the taste for it too. It’s flavorsome without being too strong (IMHO). You could make a ‘greens exchange’ for up to the entire 2 cups of watercress with mild greens. Here’s what’s in it ...

  • ½ cup pineapple
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 tomato
  • ½ avocado
  • 2 cups watercress (or substitute any greens of your choice)
  • ½ cup mint or more
  • 1 cup water

Ice

125. Papaya Cream Pudding

Use raw organic oatmeal if you can for this interesting blend. The oatmeal is soaked for a little while to soften it and plump it a tad. The papaya is stacked full of papain for great digestive benefit plus this mild fruit also adds to the creamy pudding texture.

I like this mild-mannered smoothie 2 ways. Either with a strong vanilla flavor (with or without adding more spices) ... or ... I add some lemon juice to it.

  • ¼ cup oatmeal soaked in ¼ cup water
  • 1 cup papaya
  • 1 kiwi
  • ½ avocado
  • Sea salt (up to ¼ tsp)
  • 1-2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup coconut water

Ice as needed

Recommendation

  • Add more vanilla and or lots of other spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves or cardamom)
  • Or add a good squeeze or 2 of lemon
  • Add a tablespoon of coconut oil

126. Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Packed with energy to sustain you through the morning this smoothie can be enjoyed sipped from a glass, or spooned from a bowl.

  • Oatmeal ¼ cup soaked in ¼ cup water
  • 2 pieces of dried fruit
  • 1-2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp almonds
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 2 cups mild greens
  • ½ avocado
  • Spices, try ¼ tsp cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of cardamom

When smooth, top with a handful of raisins and some chopped nuts of your choice (almonds, brazil nuts, walnuts) or some sunflower seeds, pepitas. And then stir them through to complete your breakfast smoothie.

Recommendations

  • Great to try with carob or cacao powder.
  • Transform it into a raspberry oatmeal with a ½ cup of raspberries.
  • Swirl some honey or maple syrup over the top if that sounds good!

127. Ki-Wheat Wonder

Wheatgrass has a strong yet sweet taste. If you are not used to wheatgrass then I recommend starting with a small amount and work your way up. This green smoothie gets a little kick from the wheatgrass and is beautifully tangy.

  • 2 kiwi
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1.5 cups mild greens
  • ¼ - ½ cup wheatgrass
  • 1 cup water

Add ice as required

Recommendation

  • If you don’t have wheatgrass growing at home then harvest a store-bought tray, add water, blend and then freeze in ice cube trays. I add 1-2 cubes (of course the number is going to depend on the size of your cubes!).

128. Ki-Wheat Minty Marvel

This is a variation on the Ki-Wheat Wonder. When you add mint it transforms it completely and makes it less tangy too.

  • 2 kiwi
  • ¼ - ½ cup wheatgrass (or 1-2 cubes of frozen wheatgrass)
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 cup mild greens
  • ½ - 1 cup mint
  • 1 cup water

Add ice to your taste!

Recommendation

  • You can batch blend a whole tray of wheatgrass with some water to freeze and store as ice cubes.

129. BlueGrass

The parsley is wonderful for neutralizing any excess tanginess of the wheatgrass.

  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 apple
  • ½ cup parsley
  • ¼ - ½ cup wheatgrass (or 1-2 cubes frozen wheatgrass)
  • 1 cup cabbage or other mild green
  • 1 cup water

Add ice

Recommendation

  • If you find you have overdone the wheatgrass add some more parsley (and perhaps a bit more fruit).

130. Creamy Green Supreme

Smooth, sweet and satisfying.

  • ½ avocado
  • 1 pear
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • ¼ – ½ cup wheatgrass (or 1-2 frozen cubes)
  • 1.5 cups mild greens
  • 1 cup water

Add ice

Recommendation

  • Exchange 1 cup of your greens with 1 cup of mint. One of Robert’s favorites. Wonderful!

131. Summer Meadows

  • 1 orange
  • 1 apple
  • 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ¼ - ½ cup wheatgrass (or 1-2 frozen cubes)
  • ½ cup parsley
  • 1 cup mild greens
  • 1 cup water

Add ice

132. Citrus Cocktail

Tangy citrus is just great to refresh and revitalize. Some people love grapefruit. If it’s too bitter for you then either start with a segment or 2 and work up. Or feel free to leave it out because the smoothie will work well with just oranges and mandarins.

  • 2 oranges
  • 2 mandarins
  • ½ - 1 grapefruit (optional)
  • ½ cup parsley
  • 2 cups mild greens
  • 1 cup water

Add ice

Recommendation

  • Add ½ cup mint or exchange it for the parsley.
