Mandisa rush over to Igor’s side.
“Igor, are you alright?” She ask with a concern face as she found
the bullet wound.

“
I’ll be fine.” Igor says
with a fake smile but with a thumbs up. “Go check on Juan, he got
poisoned over there.”

Mandisa look over to the other side of
the freeway where he saw Katarina patting Juan on his back as Juan
threw up one more time. “Juan, you can head back if you are to
injure to fight anymore!” Juan shook his head no as the four of
them moves on to fine Van Doorm.

Igor was able to meet up with Van, as
soon as he did that he spots two more men. “We got two more!” Igor
shouts as the rest of his team gets into position.

Thank goodness you were able to come.
MY leg is hurt bad, I can still walk on it but not for long
distances.” Van told him.

“
Fine by me, stay close to
us and we will keep you safe.”

“
I never seen your armor
before, where are you guys from?”

“
It’s a secret, so don’t
make us have to kill you after we save you Doorm.”

“
Fine by me, as long as you
are able to get me out of here, I don’t care.”

Enemy comes from behind, everyone opens
fires and target dies. It was like a single guy stood at toe with a
firing squad. “Let’s move.” Igor told Van. As both Igor and Van
moves back. Igor got shot at again, he was not doing so well
getting shot a seconded time but he kept pushing forward, back to
the aircraft. One more enemy comes from further behind. Target
moves up, Igor kills it with LMG. “Not this time
asswhole.”

As Van made it back safe, Mandisa radio
in Commander. “Commander packet is secure going home
now.”

“
Negative Strike 1,
eliminate any other Sons that may be lurking nearby.”

“
WHAT!?” Commander hung up
on Mandisa. “YOU ARE GOING TO KILL ONE OF MY MEN BECAUSE THERE ARE
TWO MORE SONS THAT ARE STILL ALIVE!”

“
What’s the situation
Corporal?” Igor ask.

“
We still need to kill the
rest of the Sons. Igor I want you to stay behind. There is no
reason for you to push yourself any further then you already
have.”

“
If Juan can keep going
after getting poisoned then I can still make it as well.” Mandisa
mumbles a few words to herself as she rolls her eyes. As All four
of them starts to run back to finish the job.

Igor moves to a car, gets shot at but
miss. “I see the target, firing now!” Igor fires at target but
miss.

Mandisa moves to cover, fire at target
with pistol, hit but not a lot of damage. Katerina runs far, next
to a car, fires at target but does not kill it. Igor gets hit
again. This time he falls on the ground in pain. He needs medical
treatment or else he is going to bleed out.

Mandisa moves closer, fires but miss.
“Damit, does anybody have any medical kits!” Both Katarina and Juan
nodded their head no. “Dammit!” Mandisa said with a tear. “We got
to kill these two asswholes before Igor bleeds to
death!”

Katarina took aim, and kill her target
with a, headshot, still one more. “Mandisa! I need you to run in
front of me behind that car, see if you can fine the last target!”
Mandisa runs to car, found last target. Target moves out into the
open, shot at Juan. Juan is not doing so well but he was still able
to aim his gun. Katarina took aim, fires, but miss. “FUCK!” Mandisa
moves closer, toss a grenade at long distances, kills target. While
the throw was quite impressive, they still had to hurry and get
igor back to the aircraft before he bleeds out. Once on the
aircraft. Mandisa did not stop letting go of Igor’s hand even
though he slowly fell into a coma.

Igor woke up in Sic-Mad with Mandisa
sitting right next to him. “How long was I out?” He ask.

“
Just a few days.” Mandisa
says with a smile. “You need to stay here though. The Doctor said
with all of the bullets that you took in, you need to spend
eighteen days in here.”

“
Eighteen days!” Igor said
back in surprise and shock. “I am going to be here forever.” He
moans. As he looks to his side, he found Juan laying next to him.
“How long is he going to be in here for?”

“
Just for five days, then
again, he did not took a lot of bullets that you did. He only got
poisoned. The gas was weak so he should be fine. He also got to
train in the Assault class, so now I have a partner.”

“
I thought I was your
partner.” Igor says with a sigh.

“
Aw you poor poor heavy,
wherever you going to do with your giant RPG and LMG.” Mandisa said
in a tone as if she was a mother talking to a baby. “Katerina is a
corporal now.” Mandisa said in her normal voice.

Igor look on Mandisa vest and smile a
little bit. “Congrats on becoming a Sergeant Mandisa, you really
deserve it.”

Mandisa blush a little. “You should be
a corporal you know.”

“
Don’t worry about it. I’ll
just sit back and rest here for eighteen days.”

Sandra came by Sic-Mad with some
flowers for Igor as she notice that he had company. “Oh, you have
guest.”

“
It’s fine Sandra. Come in,
how did your mission go?”

“
Great, I became a Sergeant
in the Assault class.” She says with a smile as she lay the flowers
next to Igor.

“
That’s wonderful!” Igor
said with a smile. “Now you won’t be alone Mandisa.”

Sandra look over to Mandisa and with a
fake smile. “Isn't that great, Wednesday?”

“
Wednesday?” Igor said with
a question.

“
Everyone at B.A.S.E is
calling her that, want to know what they are calling
me?”

Mandisa, in a low voice call her by her
nickname. “Devil Dog.”

“
Devil Dog!” Igor repeated
out of surprise some more. “How deadly are you on the battlefield
San?”

Sandra let out a smile, as she bends
over next to Igor’s ear and in a soft voice/. “I make sure that my
prey does not escape my sights. I hunt him down and make sure he
begs for his pathetic little life before I take it
away.”

Igor gulp a little. “Now I see why they
call you Devil Dog. Why do they call you-” Before he could ask
Mandisa why they call her Wednesday, she was already gone. Sandra
smirk a little as she continue to talk with Igor.

“
That’s not going to be
easy.” Katarina was standing behind Mandisa as she was up in the
barracks looking down on everyone. “Not only are you fighting to
stay alive, now you are fighting to win a guys heart. You got two
wars going on.”

“
What would you know?”
Mandisa told Katarina in a harsh tone.

“
I know what it is like to
have the love of your life taken away from you. I know how it
feels.” Katarina Grab a chair and sat behind Mandisa as she told
her a story. I was in college, when I met this guy.”

“
Hey Katarina, I was
wondering if you would like to, or if you got nothing to do, or if
you do got something to do that’s fine to-” The young boy kept
talking jumbling up his words before Katarina stop him.

“
What do you want?” Katarina
said with annoyance.

“
To go on a date with me?
That sounds kind of fast, maybe lunch?” The young boy said with a
fake smile.

“
No.” Katarina told the
young man as she kept her head in her book.

Back in the present Katarina explain
more about the young boy. “He was perhaps the nerdist kid in
school, to fast forward all the boring stuff. A very beautiful
started to abuse his brain and make him do all of his work for her.
I don’t know what the young boy saw in me. I love goth, death, and
I listen to metal. Not really one of the attractive one. As I saw
him spending more time with this other girl the more I got,
annoyed.

The young boy was eating lunch in the
lunchroom when the beautiful girl came by. “Hey there, thanks for
all of your help and I know just how I can repay you.” The girl
said with a smile.

“
Re-Repay me?” The boy
stutter his words, he was so speechless. Katarina was not far away
but she could hear the whole conversation.

“
I am having a giant party
at my house, be there, no later than eight.”

As the girl walk away Katarina decided
to step in and have a talk with the boy. “Don’t do it.”

“
Huh?” The boy said in
surprised.”

“
I know her kind, if you go
to that party, she is going to make you do so many kind of drugs
that you have never heard of before.”

“
She wouldn't do that.” The
boy just shrug it off and Katarina just walk away for him not
listening to her.

Back in the present Mandisa ask
Katarina a question. “What happens next?”

Katarina let out a little sigh. “The
young boy went to the party, and just like i said he got wasted. As
smart as he is, when he left the party he decided to drive. He
drove off a cliff and killed himself. When they did an autopsy, he
had so many drugs in him that it was sickening his mind. The
following day, an officer ask me by name. When I came out the
officer gave me a black notebook. Inside of it was filled with so
many poems. The title of the book says Even death loves someone. It
was dedicated to me.” Katarina pause for a bit longer. “I don’t
know how you are going to handle Sandra. She is the girl to be
right now, however. If you are going to do something. Then you
should do it fast, because I don’t think lifespan in a soilder in
this war is very long.”

“
What about you, what are
you going to do Katarina?”

“
Thats for me to worry. Get
some rest Mandisa, you need it.”

Mission 5 Moving Up

Commander was standing in the War Room
as he was explaining the next mission. “Katerina, from here on out
we are going to have five soldiers in a suad. I am going to let you
command the first squad of five. You got some time before your next
mission, you will be introduce to your new teammates when it’s time
to go. Good luck katerina, and bring everyone back home
safe.”

“
Sir.” Katerina said in
attention as she agree to the mission.

“
The first Pentagon
Mission?” Mandisa said with surprise as she Katerina and Sandra was
all in the same room.

“
Why would Commander let you
lead the first Pentagon Mission?” Sandra ask kind of snotty. “I am
not trying to be rude, but since running a squad a person more is
more work. Wednesday and I are the only ones here that are capable
of running high level missions.”

Katerina shrug what Sandra told her.
“Perhaps it could be the fact that I was part of the very first
mission.”

“
That may be. Do you know
who is going to be joining you on this mission or what you are
going to have to do?”

“
You know Commander never
realise those things.”

Sandra roll her eyes a little. “That
will help a lot to prepare for what is up ahead but he seems to be
doing all right for right now.” Mandisa got up and started to head
out of the door. “Where you going Wednesday?”

Mandisa took in a deep breath then with
a fake smile she turn towards Sandra. “It’s wednesday, so I am
going to find a soldier to fuck for the day.”

As she left not waiting for a reply
Sandra yells out “have fun!”

As Katerina makes her way to the
aircraft she sees her team. Estela Moreno, Harry Davies, Jiang Li
Song, and Juan Perez. Harry said his greetings to Katrina as she
came close to her new squad. “You must be Katerina, it is an honor
to meet you. We have heard many things from you.”

“
What things?” Katerina
demanded.

“
Well, just that you are a
very scary monster. In a good way though! You strike fear into the
enemy.” Harry said with a fake smile and light chuckles.

“
On this plane ride, we
should all get to know each other, one thing you should know about
Juan over there is that he cannot speak english. He understands it
but he cannot speak it. If I hear any of you badmouthing Juan I am
going to make you write out the spanish dictionary for me
understood?” Katerina ask her squad mates and they all nod in
agreement.

“
I see.” Igor said in a
light moan. “So Katerina gets to run the first Pentagon
Mission?”

“
I don’t know if she is
ready to lead a mission though.” Mandisa said with
concern.

“
She’ll be fine.” Igor said
as he close his eyes. “She may keep to herself a lot. However she
is a train sniper. She has an overall view of what is going on and
can give good battle stragictys. Who is part of this
squad?”

“
Three new people and
Juan.”

“
She’ll be just fine. Just
as long as her teammates do what they are told and she does not
lose sights of them then they are all going to be fine.”

On the battleground Harry moves to a
car, spots two men. “Double contact.” Harry shouts. one of Harry’s
targets shoots at Harry. The shot miss Harry but set the car on
fire. Harry, Juan, Estela and Song all rush inside a nearby
building. Katerina decides to move around the building to get a
better view.
