Mandisa, now knowing that Sandra was
only trying to bring humor in this humorless place, started to open
up to her. “Yea.” She said with a sigh. “He was a real hero.”
Mandisa was trying to fight against her tears. “It was all moving
so fast, he threw a grenade, but they did not die. Steve and I lay
into them with bullets yet they still did not die. They stab Igor
in his heart, Steve tried to fight them off but he was overtaken by
the enemy. Even today, one of them ran behind enemy lines. They are
getting more reckless now, Sandra!”

“
I know Mandisa, I know.”
Sandra gave Mandisa a short hug. “Swords, bulletproof armor that
can withstand a grenade blast. We are not fighting against any
ordinary terrorist group. We can’t lose our heads here though.
Which reminds me Mandisa. You did not came back to the Sergeant
Female Assault class dorm last night.” Mandisa had the look of fear
on her face. She spent the whole night with Katerina among doing
other things. “If you don’t want to tell me, then that’s ok, just
promise me that you won’t do anything stupid.”

“
I promise.” Mandisa told
Sandra as she was remembering her night last night with
Katerina.

Sandra gave a smile and gave Mandisa a
pat on her shoulder. “Get some rest Mandisa. I need to do the same
thing because I need to go over to Mexico tomorrow.

Mission 9 Night Fall

Commander has been on video chat with
the Council for what appear to be an hour by now. Of course, none
of the higher ups are going to be talking about what is going on
inside that room but only a few could guess. Mandisa was watching
the whole thing when Katrina came from the behind and gave her a
pat on her back. “Doing all right?”

Mandisa jump a little but settle down.
“Y-Yeah,” Mandisa told Katerina with a sigh. “I, I am not
a.”

“
I know.” Katerina
interrupted. “What happen last night was just a mix of hormones
going crazy. We are spending the rest of our lives underground. I
am surprised that none of the soldiers have gotten cabin fever
yet.”

Sandra came walking out from the War
Room, to give Mandisa and Katerina the news. “Not really secret, we
have to go capture one of the elites.” Sandra told them with a
sigh.

Both Mandisa and Katrina were kind of
in shock at what the Council wants the soldiers to do. Mandisa
objects to the idea. “The only reason why David Kelly was able to
stun that one terrorist was because he was an idiot and ran in
front of David who stun him. He was a rookie on that mission as
well.”

“
Now Kelly is a big star in
this base. Anyway, I need to get ready for my next mission. I am
bringing along Soto, Estela, Hugo, Harald berg. Suppose to be
dangerous.” Sandra told them with a smile.

Mandisa gave a smile back. “You can
handle it, thats why they call you Devil Dog isn't?” Sandra just
gave Mandisa a warm smile back then walks over to the
hanger.

On the airplane, getting ready to go to
the drop off zone Estela made a statement. “I am glad I could
finally be on another mission, I was starting to think think that
Commander was forgetting me.”

“
Weren't you one of the
first soldiers to take part of the first Pentagon Mission?” Sandra
ask.

“
I was, I was kind of new
and my country accent was very heavy. Now I got my military
accent.”

Harald was confused at what Estela was
talking about. “Military accent?”

“
Since our base has so many
different people coming from all sorts of places, with different
accents. It takes a while but everyone starts to sound the same.
Use the same slang words, and so on. You are going to have one and
not even know it.”

Hugo just starts to laugh. “Oh Estela,
remember at lunch room that one day, the chefs were being nice and
gave us steak dinners? Since you came from the south, you knew how
you wanted your stake to be cook. So when my pal, Igor started to
chat with you, congratulating you on your first mission, and being
a Pentagon Mission as well. I snatch your steak while you weren't
looking!” Hugo had a hard time telling Estela the story because he
was laughing in between sentences.

“
That was you!” Estela gave
a light punch on Hugo’s shoulder. “I was a nice gurl untell ya’ll
pulled that stunt on me you ass wholes.”

Hugo still kept on laughing. “Your
country came out Estela.” Estela kept getting more mad at Hugo,
unleashing more of her country side, and Hugo kept on laughing more
and more enjoying every second of it, tell they land on the
ground.

As they touch ground, Estela took
point, as she quickly spots six Sons at once. “Oh Lord that’s a
lot.” At the sight of so many she toss a grenade but did not kill
one.

Hugo steady his aim with his sniper
rifle and was able to kill one. Soto moves next to estela, kills
one of his targets. Estela got hit with some poison gas, then shot
at twice, miss both. Estela starts to cough a bit. “They must not
like gurls!” Estela moves next to a truck for cover.

Hugo steady his aim some more, kill
another Son. “It’s just that you are so easy to spot with that
accent of yours!” Hugo said with more laughter.

“
Don’t make me come over
there and beat your ass, you mexican mother fucker!” Estel shouts
back.

“
¿No sabes dónde estamos?
Esto es México! My home town!” Hugo told her.

“
Good, then we can leave you
hear, take up too much space anyway.”

Soto moves a little bit, fires at his
target but he miss. Sandra moves to see if she could take a shot
from the side of the building to kill a target inside, when she
spots two more outside. “We got two more! watch those corners!”
Sandra order.

Soto gets shot at but is doing ok.
“Don’t you worry your little butt Soto, I got you cover.” Estela
told him as she fires a rocket inside the building killing one of
the Sons. “Damn, one still alive. Soto fires at target again, still
miss.

Sandra moves to get out of the way, she
gets fire at but miss. Sandra fires back but miss Sandra's target
moves to get a better view. The target shot back at Sandra but
miss. Meanwhile another Son was able to take out Soto.

“
Soto!” Estela cries out his
name as she saw her speechless friend getting shot down. “I’m going
to kill you mother fucker.” Estela went to get a better view of
soto's killer, spots two more. “Oh fuck me in my country
ass!”

Harald fires at Sandra target, kills
it. Sandra who was waiting her chance to kill her target, notice
that Harald killed it. “Good job Harald, keep that up and you are
going to be just fine.” Sandra told him with a smile. Sandra moves
again, gets fire at but miss. Sandra fires back, and was able to
kill the target that was shooting at her.

Estela starts to hide behind some cover
as she was all alone on her side of the battlefield. Harald moves
in closer to estela, fires at one of the Sons but miss. “Damn,
sorry about that Estela.”

“
It’s fine Harald, thanks
for being here though, I feel safe now.” She told him with a
smile.

Inside of a bar Sandra rushes across
it. She fire and kill the Son that Harrald miss.

Estela got hit by poison again. as She
continues to gag, she blindly fire and hit nothing. Harald moves
forward in the open, shot at Estela target, hit but did not kill.
“Oh fuck.” Harald told himself as the enemy starts to gets his
sights on Harald. Sandra quickly finish off the target. Once the
last Son was killed Harald started to chuckle to himself. “I
thought I was a goner there, I can’t believe I ran out into the
open like that.”

Hugo who saw the whole thing from his
rifle also laugh along with Harald. “Man I like you, you crazy, you
got balls, and inside those balls are nuts.”

Harald laugh some more, then found
Soto’s dead body. “Let’s hurry up and not let him rot here.” As
soon as he said that, a bullet came out of nowhere and killed
Harald in the head. Then the last Son came rushing out of the bar.
Everyone open fire at the target and it quickly died. Once the
battle was over, no one was laughing, as all of them was in shock
on just how Harald died.

As Commander congratulated Hugo on
becoming a Corporal now. Estella breath in so much poison gas that
she has to stay in Sic-mad for thirteen days. Upon which Hugo came
in for a visit. “What do you want?” Estela ask very
bluntly.

“
Oh I just thought I would
come by for a bad time.” Hugo told her as he sat next to
her.

“
So.” Estela said looking
around. “That was Mexico? Very, desert.”

“
We have some of the best
martinez around chica.”

Estela simply just let out some air.
“Well then, one of these days you are going to have to show me
them, aren't you now?”

Mission 10 Ball

As time went on Brazil ends up leaving
the X. As the council starts to give Commander another report on
his statues and how he his doing against this war of terror.
However with the new departure, no one was letting this get them
down before the ball. “Isn't it nice?” Sandra ask Mandisa as all of
the soldiers were talking with joy. “Out of all the bloodshed that
has been here, there is still joy in this underground piece of
shit. The Ball is just around the corner right now.”

“
You going with anyone?”
Mandisa ask.

Sandra just smile little bit. “I was
planning to steal Igor for you, I know that Steve Lee had a thing
going for me.” Sandra just pause and gave a little chuckle. “I
don’t think that faith was meant for either of us to fall in love
with those two.”

“
What do you think faith has
waiting for us?”

Katrina came walking by and told both
Madnisa and Sandra what faith was waiting for them. “Death, that is
the only guaranteed that faith has for us. When is it, could be
anyones guess.”

Sandra gave a small chuckle. “Thank you
Miss. Sunshine for your lovely words, they just always puts a smile
on my face.” Sandra and Katrina gave each other a little stare when
the rest of the girls in the underground base all scream with awe.
The three girls started to follow the awning of the girls to see
what was going on. Turns out that it was sweet little Sara Rosemary
as she was getting all dress up for the Ball. Sara was really
embarrassed by having everyone telling her that she was cute and
when she saw Katrina she rush over to her and hid behind her leg.
Sandra gave a warm smile and bend over to eye level with Sara. “You
are the princess of this castle, and we are your servants.”The
young girls eyes starts to sparkle at Sandra words.

The alarm starts to go off and Estela
got a ping. “Well yall I need to get going.” She walk over to Sara
and with a smile. “Don’t worry princess, we will protect your
castle.” Estela pat Sara on her head and walk out of the
door.

On the plane, Adrien Leroy, a new guy
starts to complain. “Today is the great big ball for us soldiers,
and we have to go on a mission? Can’t we have at least one day
off?”

David got quickly annoyed by Adrien
complaints. “Who gives you the right to complain? Who the fuck are
you anyway? I know everyone here! Rune Larsen, Jordan Long, Estela
Moreno, and myself. However, for you? You don’t have the right to
complain of going on a mission if this is your first
one!”

“
For your information Kelly,
I have already been on one mission, this is my seconded one! I was
part of Mission number eight! Rune was with me as well and he did
not even kill anyone in that mission!”

“
Well he left more of an
impression then you did.”

estela was quickly getting irritated by
the two of them screaming at each other. “WOuld you two shut the
fuck up!” As soon as Estela yell that the two men stop fighting.
“We have a seven year old girl, who acts more mature than two grown
men. If that is not sad then I don’t know what is. Look, if we do
this right, and we do this fast, then none of us are going to miss
that ball, as in being late or by being dead. Our mission is
simple. Get Rune close to the elite, because the elite is always
flying one of these aircrafts, stun him, take him back to B.A.S.E
alive and then we can all get on with our lives before the next
fucking mission!”

Both David and Adrian did not said
anything as they look away in shame. Even Jordan got into the
conversation. “What Estela said is completely true, it’s hard
enough to fight against these Sons, what makes you think that we
can defeat them while we are trying to kill each other? The Sons of
Liberty wants to blow up this planet, to recreate it for a better
one, after seeing you two idiots bicker at one another, I wonder if
the Sons have the right idea sometimes.”

The plane touch the ground and all five
of them ran outside. David runs up ahead and spots two heavies.
“Found a couple of heavy’s over here!” David shouts as he fire at
one of them and only did light damage. Adrien took cover. He took
fire at the same heavy that David shot at with a pistol but also
did light damage. One heavy shot at Jordan but miss, while the one
that David and Adrian was shooting at, hit David and david was not
doing so well after the hit. David falls back, fires at his target
but miss. Adrien aim sights with sniper, miss. “Come on Adrian, how
did you made it through two missions if you can’t hit anything?”
David told him.
