“Feel good?” The little minx turned the question around on me.

“You know it does.”

She continued to work my cock up and down, squeezing slightly when she’d reach the tip. The little drops of come were coating the head, and she swirled them around with her thumb. It was driving me mad. I’d hoped to take my time with her, but it was proving to be difficult. Grabbing her hand and forcing her to let go, I moved off of her and pulled her pants and underwear down. She picked up on my urgency because she wasted no time, helping me kick them off her feet so I could come back up to her and settle in between her legs.

“Oh, God,” she moaned as I slowly sank into her. She was already wet and I knew it wasn’t going to take much for me to make her come apart around me. I’d learned that Kat was capable of giving me more than one orgasm when I was inside of her.

Pulling back and slamming back into her, she grabbed onto my back and dug her nails in my skin. I hissed, but not because it hurt.

“Do you want it harder, Kat?” I pulled back again and withheld myself at her entrance.

“Yes, I want you in me.”

I teased her clit with the head of my cock. “How hard?”

She tried to shift her hips so I would put myself back inside of her. I pulled away. She growled at me. “Timber, I swear to God, if you don’t stop fucking around with me, I’m going to tie you to the bar.”

I barked a laugh. “Then answer the question, Kat. How hard do you want it?”

“I want you to drive into me so hard that I scream your name. Now, please. Don’t make me keep begging and threatening your life.”

I pushed back into her and she tensed around me, letting out a breath she’d been holding. “I love it when my girl talks dirty and sweet at the same time.”

“Shut up and keep fucking me.”

No problem. I started driving into her at a ferocious pace, pulling my hips up and slamming back into her. The slapping of our skin only made me go harder. Her tight pussy clenched around me, and I knew she was getting close.

“Timber…oh God…oh God…I’m close.” Her eyes rolled back into her head.

“Not.”
Slam.
“Yet.”
Slam.

I brought my mouth back down to hers and dove in, tasting every inch of her mouth. Everything about her was sweet and this was no exception. Her soft lips formed to mine and I sucked her tongue, mimicking what my hips were doing with my mouth. When her feet came up and dug into my ass, I started to lose control. My movements became more frantic.

I was just about to tip over the edge when I gritted out, “Now, Kat. Come, now!”

She screamed out my name while our sweat slicked bodies moved together. Her walls clamped around me, squeezing every little drop from my cock and causing me to shudder.

“Christ.”

Her chest was heaving against mine. “Yeah, that about sums it up.”

I rested there for a few minutes, enjoying being inside of her. When I pulled out, she shivered and I grinned down at her. Sitting back to rest on my heels, I looked at her.

“You are so beautiful. Seriously, I don’t think I would have thought I’d have pegged this is where I’d be even just a few months ago.”

Her fingers came up and traced the few scars on my torso that I’d gotten in Iraq, but then moved to the raised skin that was whiter than the rest of my skin from where I’d been shot. “Me either. Are
you
happy?” She once again threw my question back at me.

I glanced up and looked around the space that I now owned, then back down at my dark haired beauty. Her long reddish brown hair was in a mass all over the table underneath her.

“Deliriously.”

She smiled, and I smiled back.

And I was. She had healed me from the inside out. I never knew I’d find someone that could touch my scars. But she had, and I’d love her till the day I died.

from Vixen Editing, I love you woman! You saved my butt when I was in a pickle, and you kept me from losing my mind. You’ve been the biggest blessing in disguise. And by disguise I mean a cute little hot woman package. Your skills are crazy good, and you are really wonderful to work with. In all seriousness though, you are easy to work with and you take everything I say into consideration. That’s invaluable to me. Love you friend! Thank you for giving me the push that I needed with this book.

Joshua Sean McCann, you were hands down the greatest ‘discovery’ I think I could have made for myself. I don’t know how I got so lucky to have found you, but I’m one lucky girl. I took a chance on you, and it was single-handedly the best decision I made for Touching Scars. You’ve become the face that represents this book. And seriously… I love your face! Ha
! Somehow through all of this madness, you’ve made me smile and I am so happy that we’ve become more than work partners but friends too. You’ve got something special, and I’m going to do everything I can to keep helping you push on to the next level. No matter what, I’m here for you. I love you Mr.!

Loren Sayre, I’m amazed at how quickly we became such good friends after a meet and greet this summer. And how one little sentence out of your mouth spiraled into plastering your gorgeous face all over my cover and teasers. You and Josh had chemistry on camera, which I knew was going to happen. So thank you for letting me use your face… and boobs! Seriously, we need to name them. They are just as famous as your face. Haha! So thanks for the boobs too. “Work Bitch” I love you tons, and you are hands down one of my best friends.

Bayli Lane (my official BPIC-Bitch Partner In Crime) where on earth would I be without you? You help me throughout my entire day to decompress, to make me laugh, you help me push my boundaries with my writing, and seriously I just love you all around. You are one of my very few best friends in this world. You have an honest heart, and a sincerity that gives me a reminder to not be so cynical. There are good people out there, you’re one of them. Now write woman, write and go Vox me and tell me how much you love me for saying all of this.

Anna Easter, another of my dear friends that I had the privilege of meeting this summer. You ma’am are the epitome of a great woman. You seriously make me laugh like no other. You have the most beautiful family, and the kindest heart. You included me in your inner circle and made me feel like I was already a part of your life and always had been. I love you Anna, and I know without a shadow of a doubt I’m blessed to have you as a friend.

Jason Goulet, oh honey, these acknowledgements wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t include your name in here and tell you just how much you mean to me. Have I told you today how much I love and adore you? Well, now it’s in a book and you can read it every day in case I miss a day. We met through Josh and it started out as a possible business venture. Little did I know it was a hook line and sinker sort of friendship. You had me at hello! Ha! You keep me on my toes with your honesty and kindness. In the short time we’ve known each other you have held my hand when no one else was around, and you reminded me that I am worth so much more than what I receive sometimes. That’s an invaluable quality, and it’s rare. You’re impossible not to love, and
I
am the lucky one to know
you
.

Lisa Shirley, you are an invaluable tool my friend. Between being handy for me to ask questions, you’ve also set me up with the most incredible group of blogs that have helped post my teasers, cover, and synopsis. We met back when I did Ever Enough and I can’t believe I got so lucky with you. Honestly…seriously…truly… you are a wonderful person and friend. Thank you for being there for me through my whole writing journey this past year.

This is to all of my beta readers. Lea, Loren, Anna, Shelly, Shelly, Jessica, Andrenella, Christy, Bobbi Jo, Jennifer, Jeanne, and Stephanie… whew! Did I get you all there? I swear to God, if I missed someone, please for the love of Pete, come yell at me. I swear I didn’t mean to! Anyway, each and every one of you did something special and unique for me with this book. You all had your individual comments about how my writing was going, things that I could change, whether you loved it, whether you hated it, whether I was on the right path for Timber and Kat, it was all magnificent! Could I have written this book without you? Sure. Did I want too? Hell no! You all gave me the extra push on hard days to keep moving forward, to keep putting pen to paper and make this the best that I knew it could be. For this, I will be eternally grateful to you all!

Bobbie Jo, woman you are amazing! You’ve been with me since the beginning of writing Ever Enough, scraped me off the floor with Always Enough, and hounded the crap out of me to give you more sex in
Touching Scars
. Haha! I love your whit and quirkiness in the middle of a long day writing when a message would pop up on my chat and it’s a half naked guy. Who doesn’t want to see that? Besides the boy talk, you were the biggest help with this book over anybody else I’m calling out. I’ve bounced so many ideas off of you, brainstormed, and ran away with anything and everything we came up with. Nobody brainstorms like you can with me. You seem to read me well even though we’ve never met in person. You’ve connected with my writing style and you manage to understand what I’m looking for next. Thank you’s are sometimes not enough. This is one of those cases. You are so giving, and sweet with a side of naughty. I love you to pieces!

Kassi Cooper, uhhh…pretty sure the heaven’s opened up and tossed you in my lap. I had no idea you were a formatter, but either way, I knew I had to snag you. I’m excited to see what you can do with my baby, and I look forward to hopefully working with you even more. (Even past formatting.)

To all of my readers: whether you are new to me or a long time fan, I appreciate you all. You are who makes my writing worthwhile. I write for myself, but I also write for you. I’ve poured a ton of love, dedication, tears, fears, and laughter into
Touching Scars
.
This book was very tough for me to write. I hope I did Timber and Kat justice, and the issues that they endured through the story. Loads of research went into this novel, and I am crossing my fingers that most, if not all, of you love it the way that I do.

I’m writing one big massive ‘THANK YOU’ to all blogs that have partaken in sharing my teasers, requesting an ARC, and reviewing Touching Scars. You all do so much work, putting together stuff for the readers, and it certainly doesn’t go unnoticed by me. I wouldn’t be able to do this without every single one of you!
