Food intolerances.
Viral infections.
Nutrient deficiencies.
Action plan
Building immunity is the main goal here, plus ensuring that you eat a varied diet, as eating the same foods, day in, day out, can contribute to intolerances.
EAT/DRINK
Brightly colored fruit and vegetables.
Whole grains: rye, oats, millet, quinoa, and brown rice.
Turkey, chicken, and fish.
Legumes.
Watermelon, celery, and cucumber, which have cooling properties for reducing the pain of canker sores.
Burdock-root coffee to cleanse the bloodstream.
AVOID
Acidic fruits such as citrus fruits, tomatoes, apples, and plums, as these may irritate the area.
Spicy foods, alcohol, and caffeine, as these can act as local irritants.
Sugar and refined foods, as these are low in nutrients and suppress the immune system.
