‘Well don’t, you know what trouble that
will cause.’ A sudden image of Cameron on our doorstep and Sam answering the
door throwing her arms around him appears in my mind.

‘Absolutely ridiculous, we are just two
people who wish to spend time in each other’s company, what’s wrong with that?’
he mutters, running his hand through his hair.

‘I really need to get to work, Cameron.’ I
remind him, watching the clock in the car.

‘Ok,’ he starts the car and pulls into the
road, ‘tonight?’

‘Not tonight,’ I scold him gently.

‘Can I at least have your mobile number?’
he ignores me.

I sigh, before realizing at least if he has
my number he may not just turn up.

‘What’s yours, I will call it?’ I relent.
He recites some numbers and I punch them into my phone before pressing the call
button.  The car is filled with ringing, from his hands-free kit, and he
immediately presses a button on the steering wheel ceasing the noise.

‘Meet me after your drink,’ he insists his
face stern.

I sigh, ‘I will think about it, it depends
on the time,’ I concede, viewing my building in front of us.

He pulls into a parking space opposite and
I turn to open the door, ‘Lucy,’ he calls and I turn, ‘tonight!’ he demands and
I roll my eyes towards him, before exiting the car.

My stomach is churning as I enter the
building moving into the elevator, what the hell…. Susie must have informed him
I have a date, bloody men only want what they can’t have!

I am distracted for the whole morning, my
mind rewinding to that early morning kiss, my insides flutter at the memory.
What am I doing? Matthew is a decent man I cannot mess him around it isn’t
fair. Cameron is only interested because he has heard that I am going out with
another man.

By lunchtime my brain is fried!

‘Hey,’ Susie calls from our regular table
in the canteen.

‘Hi,’ I flop down opening my salad box.

‘Everything ok?’ Suze enquires cautiously.

‘Not really,’ I mutter, ‘I had a visit from
our mutual friend this morning,’ my eyes find hers and her lips tighten.

‘I warned him to stay away,’ she fumes.

‘I take it you informed him of my date
tonight?’

‘I did, in an attempt to keep him away, he
has been hounding us for your number. I thought by informing him you have a
life, he may relent.  I guess I should have known better.’

‘Well, he has it now, don’t worry I will
sort it out.’ I empathize with Susie, Cameron can be extremely persistent at
times.

Maddie joins us and the subject is dropped
for obvious reasons.

I receive a text from Cameron lunchtime to
remind me.

Tonight! Call me!

By the end of the day I am a bundle of
nerves, I move down into the Reception area where Matthew is waiting.

‘Hi,’ he smiles as his eyes move over me,
‘you look as lovely as ever.’

‘Thank you,’ I smile, he is such a sweet man.

‘Shall we?’ he gestures towards the door.

We end up in a small wine bar, a few
streets away, where we sit by the window and Matthew orders a bottle of wine.

‘Do you want some food?’ he asks.

‘No, I am fine thank you, Matthew.’

I feel my phone vibrate in my bag and
choose to ignore it.  Matthew and I chat about life in general and I find out
he is twenty nine and recently come out of a long term relationship.

‘So, what happened?’ I enquire, intrigued.

‘We just drifted apart, we are still
friends…..well of sorts.  She is a career girl, eager to reach her potential within
her field, it became that we rarely saw each other in the end.’

‘Such a shame, how long were you together?’
I probe.

‘Seven years,’ he nods.

Well he is on the rebound, I think as I
digest this information, my phone vibrates again and he states, ‘feel free to
get that, I won’t be a moment,’ and he heads in the direction of the men’s
room.  I locate my phone and lift it unsurprised to find Cameron’s name on the
front.

‘Hi,’ I murmur quietly.

‘Where are you?’ he questions sternly.

‘Cameron,’ I warn, my insides anxious that
Matthew could appear at any moment, ‘I am on a date!’

‘What time is it ending?’ he demands.

I sigh, ‘I will call you.’

‘Soon? I want to feel you Lucy,’ he
whispers and my insides grow heavy, ‘I want to be inside you.’

‘Cameron,’ I croak, as I notice Matthew
returning, ‘I have to go,’ I end the call dropping my phone into my handbag.

‘Everything ok? Matthew checks.

‘Yes fine,’ I smile, my cheeks flushed.

An hour later I can take no more, ‘thank
you for the drink Matthew, I need to make a move I’m afraid.’

‘Oh ok, plans?’ he appears disappointed.

‘I just have a couple of things to do at
home before the morning,’ I lie.

‘Ok, can we do this again?  Maybe dinner
next time?’ he requests.

‘Sure’ why am I tying myself up here, just
say no!  Why should I just because Cameron clicks his fingers?

We walk outside and I turn, ‘thank you
again Matthew see you soon.’

‘You are welcome,’ he bends to kiss me but
I move so that he kisses my cheek.

‘Bye,’ I turn away moving down the road.  I
am angry with Cameron for spoiling my date. Matthew is a genuinely good guy but
my mind was preoccupied the entire evening with Cameron and how quickly I could
depart, without appearing rude.

I locate my phone and notice two missed
calls from Cameron, I hit the recall button and wait until he answers.

‘Hi, where are you?’ he is in his car, I
hear the echo.

‘Great Peter’s Street,’ I fume.

‘Ok, stay there,’ he disconnects the call
and I continue walking to alleviate my anger.

His car pulls up beside me within minutes
and, without looking at him, I enter the passenger seat.  I turn to glare at
him, my eyes sparkling with anger.  His face is taut with tension as he frowns
towards me, ‘what’s the matter with you?’ he mutters.

‘Me! What is the matter with me?’ I fume.

He sighs and pulls away, ‘put your seatbelt
on,’ he demands and I comply my insides bubbling.

We drive to his house in silence, the
atmosphere crackling with electricity.  He pulls into the drive and exits the
vehicle moving around to the passenger side to open the door.  I swing my legs
over and grabbing his hand hoist myself up out of the car.

We enter his house and move into the
kitchen in silence, he locates a bottle of wine and opens it ignoring me as I
lean against the counter top my eyes firming fixed on him.  He pours two
glasses of wine and struts over confidently, placing a glass into my hand.  I
glance up and his face appears amused which causes me to frown.

‘God, you are cranky,’ he mumbles and my
eyes widen slightly.

‘Are you for real?’ I am dumbfounded.

‘What?’ he smiles as if he has had no part
in this evenings antics.

‘What? Really Cameron? I go on a date and
you call me to demand that I ditch him, how the hell can I concentrate….’

‘You didn’t like him anyway otherwise you
would have told me to take a hike,’ he interrupts me.

I sigh moving my hand to pat my bun a habit
I have picked up when I am anxious.  He moves nearer until his front is against
mine, I test a glance upwards and his eyes are regarding me pensively.

‘What is really the problem Lucy?’ he
gentles.

‘I was with a decent guy, Cameron,’ I tilt
my head up towards him my insides tingling, ‘and all I could think about was
fucking you.’ I whisper and he inhales a breath, his eyes darkening.

‘I am going to fuck you, Lucy,’ he removes
the glass from my hand before kissing my lips gentle, yet probing, ‘over and
over,’ he continues.  I groan as I pull him into me, my tongue sucking and
licking his, desire surges through my body and I feel moisture pool in between
my thighs.  His hands move behind me and unzip my dress slowly pushing at the
shoulders allowing it to drop to the floor.

He gazes at my pink lace underwear, ‘who is
this for Lucy?’ he complains, his mouth moving to my straining nipple tugging
the cup down to allow him access.  I am panting with desire as I push myself
towards him as he sucks my breast, he bites down and I cry out my sex clenching
with apprehension.  He moves to the other breast his hand moving down my lace
pants, ‘oh god!’ I wriggle, as he locates my sex inserting two fingers inside.

‘You are so wet, is that for me Lucy or for
your date?’ he growls as I move against his fingers my insides building.

‘For you Cameron,’ I groan as his thumb
brushes my throbbing nub and I explode around his fingers calling his name.  He
pushes my underwear down my legs and I step out of them, his hands locate my
hips and lift me onto the counter top.  Unzipping his trousers he releases his
throbbing erection and pulls me to the edge of the counter entering me in one
swift motion causing me to lean back and cry out in pleasure, ‘oh yes.’ I
encourage, wrapping my legs around his middle as he thrusts in and out his
hands digging in my hips.

‘More,’ I groan as he circles me prodding
into me, his mouth finds my nipple and sucks hard, I feel it connect in my sex,
‘god Cameron,’ I call and he thrusts deeper.

‘I have been thinking about this all day,’
he groans as he continues his assault, ‘how it feels to be inside you as you
make the cute noises,’ he strokes in and out and I feel my insides tighten at
his words.

‘I am going to come,’ I groan and he
fastens.  I feel him losing control, the waves pulse over me as I hear him call
out my name and I cascade around him my insides contracting around his pulsing
shaft.

‘God!’ I pant, as he pulls me into his arms
whilst he remains inside me, ‘that was hot!’

He is kissing my neck which is sending
delicious sensations down my body, ‘it certainly was,’ he mumbles into my ear,
‘I want more’

********

I turn over, ‘Cameron,’ I whisper and his
eyes flicker open, ‘I need to go, I have to get ready for work.’

‘Ok,’ he pulls me into him.

‘I haven’t got time, I need to get home
before the girls get up,’ I smile against his mouth.

He rolls his eyes as he moves me on top of
him, ‘you need to say good morning first,’ he instructs me, dominantly.

I creep into my bedroom that at this moment
I have never been more grateful is on the ground floor.  I have showered with
Cameron, so change my clothes and apply my makeup brushing my damp hair back
into a bun.  Someone taps on my door and I open it to find Kate there,

‘Hi,’ I avoid her eyes.

‘Well hi,’ she grins, ‘what time did you
get in last night?’

‘I can’t remember,’ I shrug, ‘not too late.’

‘How did it go?’

‘Fine, he is a good guy,’ I apply my
lipstick.

‘Come on Luce, give,’ Kate presses, ‘you’re
detaching from me.’

‘Nothing to give honestly, we had a few
drinks.  He has recently split with his long term partner, so is on the rebound
I think.’

‘Oh well,’ she smiles, pacified that I have
given her some information, ‘are you going to see him again?’

‘Maybe,’ I shrug.

‘You coming out with us tonight? You
haven’t been out with us for ages,’ she complains.

‘I will see what Susie is doing, if not how
about tomorrow night?’

‘Ok. I have to dash, text me your plans,’
and she is gone.

Chapter Eight

‘Hey,’ Susie waves me over with Maddie.

‘Hi girls, how are you doing?’ I smile.

‘Good thanks, so how was the date?’ Maddie
enquires.

‘Ok,’ I avoid Susie’s eyes, intentionally.

‘I need details,’ Maddie teases.

I go into particulars about him recently
coming out of a long term relationship and maybe being slightly on the rebound.

‘So, are you going to meet him for dinner?’
Maddie enquires and I shrug.

‘Maybe,’ I move my eyes to Susie, who is regarding
me closely.

‘What time did you leave?’ Susie probes.

‘Not sure,’ I flush, ‘about eight I think,’
she knows! She sends me a small knowing smile.

‘Drinks tonight?’ Maddie questions.

‘Sure,’ Susie confirms, ‘Lucy?’  I sense
she is testing me for some reason.

‘Sounds good,’ I will see Kate tomorrow.

I am tired and could do with going straight
home and relaxing in a hot, bubble bath.  I am hungry too, we never ate last
night in the end, so apart from a sandwich lunchtime I haven’t had a proper
meal in a couple of days.  My phone pings signaling a text and I glance at it,
