“The lesbian bar is in the next building,” Nick called over to them. They all laughed loudly.

On the way home they made plans to go out to dinner together. Nick called a restaurant he knew in the valley, and asked them to make sure they wouldn’t be disturbed.

The restaurant was crowded and there was a queue to get in. Nick parked the car and they strolled past the waiting people and inside to their table.

There was a band playing bluesy music. The singer looked surprised when he recognized Jay and Nick. During the interval he came over to their table and said:

“Excuse me guys, you’re
Glam Metal right?” He was resting against the back of the two chairs. “Would you mind doing a tune for us tonight?” Jay looked at him bemused and smiled and they both said that they would.

“We’
ll be back ladies.” And they both got up as the singer announced that they would do a song for them.

Nick smiling took the mic and Jay tuning up the guitar said:

“Always a pleasure to play for you guys.” Jay hit the strings and they went off into a bluesy Jazzy beat, with Nick singing. They got the diners responding very positively and ended up playing three songs for them. Jay’
s solos sent them into tumultuous applause. They waved at the crowd and came back to the table to Sam and Lisa.

It was the first time that Sam had heard them play live and they were good. In the three songs that they performed they gave it their all and left the audience wanting more. The energy that they had was evident in their performance and the chemistry between Nick and Jay was burning. You could tell that they were really good friends.

Lisa gave a golf clap as Nick planted a kiss on her cheek. Sam smiled warmly at Jay. He looked damn good when he was on stage.

After the restaurant they went to a club, it was crowded and very loud. They were getting a lot of attention. They sat at a table and several girls came over to talk to them. A few guys that they knew came over and joined them. Lisa and Sam got some really nasty looks from two of the girls but it was the guys that were more interested in them.

There was one girl; a petite blonde that looked like she was about twenty. She glared at Sam anytime Jay touched off her thigh. He was deep in conversation with a guy called Rob.

Nick and Lisa danced to a romantic song. The petite blonde girl glaring at Sam bent over Jay, so he had a full view of her implanted boobs. She whispered something in his ear. He laughed and shook his head. Not deterred by that the girl went into hyper drive. Obviously determined to be the one he was going to end up with that night. She stood up and took his hand and pulled him onto the dance floor. He looked back at Sam and she smiled at him.

Sam got up and went over to the bar. The barman smiled at her and she ordered a white wine. A voice beside her said:

“Those guys are full of themselves,” Sam looked at him. She knew he was referring to Jay. There was no way she was going to give him the satisfaction of a response.  The barman came back with her wine and she said thanks. They spoke for a few moments about nothing in particular.

Sam felt arms go around her and a familiar voice whisper in her ear.

“Let’
s get out of here sexy!” It was Jay. The guy at the bar looked at him and muttered.

“Lucky asshole!” Jay looked at him and smiled as he put his arm around Sam. Just as they were walking away a photographer snapped them. Sam’
s hand automatically went up to her eyes.

“Guys, give us a break.” Jay said as he ushered Sam through the crowd. Nick and Lisa were already in the car when they arrived. “Fuckin photographers!” Nick sped off.

Jay pulled Sam close and kissed her hair. She snuggled up to him. This was her last night in LA with Jay. She was going to enjoy every moment of it.

Sam turned her face up to him and kissed him passionately. They couldn’t wait to be alone.

Nick dropped them off at Jay

s house and he and Lisa sped off. Jay took her hand and led her down to the hot tub. The night was balmy and the stars were twinkling. It was romantic.

He pressed play on the CD player on the hot tub and the strains of a sexy sax filled the air. Jay took her into his arms and they began to dance.  He held her close to him; she could feel how muscular he was. She was getting turned on by being in his arms.

He kissed her teasingly and she giggled, he started to unzip her dress, she was completely naked underneath. As it fell to the ground he let out a long low whistle of approval. Jay got down on one knee and took off one shoe and then the other. Kissing her thighs, she grabbed his head and forced him closer to where she wanted his tongue to be. As he moved higher, teasing her, she moaned with pleasure.

He stood up and in a moment he was standing in front of her naked too. His body hard; toned and very tanned. His eyes pierced hers as he lifted her up and laid her on the day bed beside the tub. He covered her body with his and kissed her hard. Her body ached for his but he denied her the ultimate pleasure, teasing her. Sam touched his face lightly with her fingers, gazing at him lovingly. Her lightest touch driving him insane with longing. He was teasing himself as much as her. Looking deep into her eyes, he forced her thighs apart with his own and entered her roughly. She gasped as she felt his thrust and the very essence of his manhood inside her.

They moved in unison together, as one, pleasure mounting like a tidal wave in the deepest crevices of their soul. As she caressed his back with her hands, she felt an overwhelming love for him. She whispered huskily in his ear.

“Oh Jay,” He kissed her lips lightly and murmured.

“Yes, baby...Tell me.” She kissed him back and as they reached orgasm together, she whispered into his neck.

“I love you.” Not recognising her own voice as he covered her mouth with his, his tongue probing every inch.

Jay held her close, his hand caressing her bare shoulder, sending slight shivers down her spine. She moved slightly. She was almost purring. He kissed her and sat up, pulled on his boxers and walked over to the terrace, a few minutes later he returned with a bottle of wine and two glasses. He held the glasses out to her and opened the wine. As he filled the glasses, he flashed a smile. He put the bottle on the table and took a glass from her.

“Cheers,” and they clinked their glasses together. Sam pulled the throw to cover herself, very aware that there might be photographers around, ready to take a picture and what a picture they could have gotten earlier of the two of them making love.

“Sam,” Jay said softly as he took her glass and put it beside his own. “Where do we go from here?” A strange feeling swept through her stomach.
Was this the end?
And was he going to tell her to leave? Why in a moment of passion did she have to tell him she loved him? She was beginning to panic inside.

“What do you mean?” Her voice was unsteady.

“You leave for London tomorrow? Then what? I’
m here in LA,” this was the most serious that Sam had seen him. “Look Sam, in case you hadn

t noticed.” He looked straight into her eyes. “I

m in love with you too.” He took her hand in his and caressed the back of her hand with his thumb.

A gasp escaped her. She couldn’t believe it.
Did he just tell her he loved her?
He did. Her heart missed a beat. The throw fell exposing her breasts. She got up on her knees and threw her arms around him. They kissed and were soon making love again.

Sam had lay awake for hours, just looking at Jay sleeping. In a few hours she would be on her way back to London. First thing she would do is sign the final divorce papers. Then she would be free of Dan and could concentrate on her relationship with Jay. A smile spread across her face as she thought of it. He had told her he loved her. He felt the same about her as she did about him.

Jay stirred and turned on his back. He opened his eyes and smiled at Sam. She was a sight to see.

“You are a vision,” she giggled and gently touched his bare chest with her index finger. “Now wench, go get your man his coffee.” She laughed as he began to tickle her. It was hard to believe that one could be this happy. Sam kissed him and got up to get some coffee.

A few minutes later Jay was sitting up in bed wearing only a smile. She handed him the mug. Sam sipped a little of the scalding liquid. She left the cup down, grabbed a towel and blew him a kiss as she went to take a shower.

She stood under the water and closed her eyes and imagined Jay caressing her with his tongue. Sam was on a cloud as she showered.

Jay had breakfast ready when she came down. He was chewing on a melon as she came into the kitchen. She put her arms around his waist.

“I’
m going to kidnap you and make you my slave,” she teased. He laughed and said:

“I thought you wanted to be my sex slave?” She laughed and shot him a feigned shocked look. She planted a kiss on his back and filled two glasses with juice. He turned as the French door opened and Nick and Lisa came in.

“Hey there you two.” Jay gave a high-five to Nick. Lisa went upstairs and Nick and Jay started to talk about the video shoot that was happening the next day.

Sam had packed earlier and as she looked at her watch, she saw that the time was nearing for her to leave for the airport and fly back to the UK. The thought was killing her. She didn’t want to leave him. She wasn

t sure when she would be seeing him again. Sam could feel a lump building in her throat and she tried to fight it back. It would be torture not being with him. But she had obligations until they could work out something about the distance between them.

All the way to the airport, Jay held her hand, she didn’t want to go. Her heart was breaking all over again.

Inside, they checked in and went to the VIP lounge. Nick and Lisa were lost in conversation. He handed her a little box and a slip of paper.

Jay had his arm around Sam. She touched his arm sensuously.

“Darlin, I’
ll call you tonight.” He cupped her face in his hands. “I really hate goodbyes.” He bent his head to kiss her. The familiar sound of a camera shutter snapping made him look up and sure enough there was a lone photographer. Jay looked at Nick, who nodded and went over to the cameraman.

“Sam, I can’
t wait too long to see you.” A tear escaped and ran down her cheek.

“Jay-” He stopped her words with his mouth.

“As soon as we stop recording, I’
ll come to London. I

ll have a week between us going on tour here.” Sam

s flight was called. How cruel fate was. Even now at the last moment.

“I love you Jay.” She whispered as they went to the boarding gate. He came with her as far as the gate and held her for a brief moment.

“I love you too babe.” He kissed her one last time and then she was gone. Tears rolling freely down her face. She couldn’t
leave him but she knew she had to. Even for the briefest time.
