A knock on the door had them jump up and hurriedly fix themselves. Jay moved over to the sofa and sat down. Sam said come in. It was Edmund.

He looked around and saw the file on the floor and then he looked at Sam.

“I need that file.” He pointed to the one on the ground beside the desk. Sam blushed as she bent down to pick it up, with her foot she covered what was left of her red laced thong.

As she handed the file to him she said:

“Edmund, have you met Jay?” In an instant he was beside Sam with one arm around her. With his free hand he held it out to Edmund. They spoke briefly and she told Edmund she would be taking an extended lunch. He smiled at them both and left her office.

As he closed the door, Sam picked up her ripped thong and put it in the waste bin. Jay laughed as he pulled her into his arms and slid his hand up her skirt. She felt hot and very wet. He was turned on again.

Teasing him, she pulled away and straightened her skirt. She said in her most seductive voice.

“I have a boyfriend, you know?” Jay smiled and scratched his head. He walked over to her desk and sat down on her chair.

“Does he know you’
re being fucked by a rock star, babe?” As she sat on her desk, he caressed her thigh. She threw her head back and moaned. She had never wanted any man as badly as she wanted….no craved for Jay. She was like an addict for him.

“Does he bang you hard babe?” He asked and standing up he cupped her face in his hands and kissed her hard.

They had dinner at a small restaurant in the countryside. It was dark and intimate. And there was no fear of the paparazzi being around.

He filled her glass for her. She looked at him. It seemed like they hadn

t been together for such a long time. And when they were together, it seemed as though they had only brief moments.

“Darlin, let’
s get away from here for a few days,” Jay said. “Pete has a villa on Crete. What do you say?” Just the two of them alone, no one else, no press and no fans just her and Jay.

“Oh god yes, when do we leave?” She couldn’t
disguise the yearning in her voice.

“We leave first thing in the morning.” Jay said matter of factly.

“Where are we going to get a plane at this short notice?” She teased him. He laughed and held her hand to his mouth.

“What kind of rock star would I be if I didn’t
have special privileges, babe?” She laughed as the waitress, who had heard him, put their plates on the table. Looking at Jay, she faintly recognized him and blushed as he winked at her.

Back in Sam

s apartment, Jay turned on some soft music and she went over to him. She ran her fingers through his hair as he put his arms around her and pulled her close to him and they began to dance slowly. She drank in the smell of his aftershave. It sent her into nirvana, to smell him, to hold him. She closed her eyes as he brushed her cheek with his mouth. Sam wrapped her arms around his neck. She had never felt this way about anyone before. She felt so empty so lost, incomplete when she wasn

t with him. He had the power to make her feel on top of the world when he was with her and when he was away, his absence made her feel so terribly lonely, like a shell of a person, almost in a state of suspended animation waiting for the time when he would be with her just to smile at her.   Just holding her hand or even to gently brush against her arm.

She craved him because he made her feel alive, when she was with him there was nothing that seemed insurmountable and she was queen of the world.

His hands holding the back of her head, gently tilted it sideways as he probed her mouth with his, sucking gently on her lower lip. The room seemed to be spinning as his tongue searched for hers. His strong arms were holding her close and caressing every inch of her body until there wasn

t a part of her that didn’t ache to have him kiss her, to become one with him.

The room was showing signs of dawn and the light from the ensuite gave a gentle sexy glow to Sam

s room as she surrendered her mind and body to the pleasure that Jay was filling her with. The gentle waves of pleasure reaching a crescendo of bliss at his expert touch.

Chapter Nineteen

Pete

s villa was glorious; it had spectacular sea views from it mountain perch. It was very private and luxurious. Sam was in the hot tub listening to some music, with her head resting on the cushion, she closed her eyes. They had spent four wonderful days alone together. It was perfect.

Jay really did need the rest. He had been working flat out with the concerts and the new video. He told her that when he returned it would be back into the studio to start recording the album and he had a few TV shows lined up too for the promotion of the new album.

He was so attentive to her and pampered her completely.

“Coffee, Madam?” The familiar twang said from the patio. Sam nodded but couldn’t
bring herself to get out of the tub. He laughed and put her cup on the table and returned indoors.

It had been a magical night; they went out to dinner in a lovely little taverna not far from the villa. Afterwards they walked on the beach hand in hand, talking intimately and making plans for when Sam would join him in LA.

Then they made love for hours until the sun had almost come up over the horizon. Sam couldn’t wait until she was with him permanently and they didn’t have rushed and stolen moments together.

She wrapped her sarong around her waist and went over to the table. Jay came out and planted a kiss on her cheek.

“You are spoiling me, Jay,” she said. “I could get so used to this.”

“You’
re worth spoiling.” his hand resting on her thigh. “The rewards are good.” She slapped his hand in mock horror.

“Oh, you are a smug thing.” He laughed and pulled her close to him.

“How soon babe before you can move out to LA?” She groaned. It couldn’t
be soon enough for her. She hated being apart from him. At night she was finding it more difficult to sleep alone.

“I’
m hoping in the next month or so.” He sighed. “Jay, I can

t do it any sooner, you know that?” He got up and behind her he began to massage her neck and shoulders. It felt so good.

“Babe, just come back with me. You don’
t have to stay for six weeks or so.” He kissed the top of her head. Sam closed her eyes and he massaged her shoulders. “Sam, you know I can take care of you until you

re up and running!” She reached up and took his hand. She knew the life he was offering her would be a fairy tale and she need never worry about financial matters again. But Sam couldn’t be with him like that. She wanted to be equal in the relationship not just his mistress.

“Jay, you know how I feel about that.” He continued to massage her shoulders. “I won’
t be your mistress!”

“Sam, Geeze, you are one stubborn lady.” She laughed. “I love you. I want you in LA with me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” She pulled him down to kiss him.

“Now wench! Your man needs some lovin.” Sam laughed as she stood up and screeched in hilarity as he pulled off her sarong and chased her to the pool. They were like teenagers.

It was so natural to be playing like this.

*************

The week had been idyllic and so relaxed. Sam felt like a new woman. She had promised Jay regardless of what happened she would join him in eight weeks in LA. It was a promise that she would easily keep because like him, she too couldn’t stand to be parted from him much longer.

As she opened the door to her apartment, she heard the stereo playing, Lisa was home. Sam smelled the familiar aroma of coffee. Since Lisa moved in, she had insisted on ground coffee instead of instant.

“Hey there,” came the friendly voice from the kitchen. Sam welcomed the mug of coffee that her friend was handing to her. She was tired from the flight and she insisted on waiting at the airport with Jay until the plane had refuelled and he returned to LA.

Lisa told Sam all about her long weekend with Nick and how he threw some serious party. She had a fantastic time and had made plans to return in several weeks.

“Could this be a serious relationship?” Sam teased. Lisa laughed but said seriously.

“He’
s a decent guy, Sam, pity he

s not relationship material.” They both giggled but Sam knew that the decision to leave Des, hadn

t been an easy one for Lisa and she really didn’t expect much from Nick but somewhere deep in her heart, Sam knew that Lisa hoped for a loving relationship.

They chatted well into the night and recalled things from when they were growing up and in particular the crush that they both had on Glam Metal.

“Oh my god, Sam, you were so into him,” Lisa said laughing uncontrollably “It was so sad.” Sam threw a cushion at her and retorted.

“Remember when you gave the vodka bottle a blow job imagining that it was Nick or was that Steve?” They both fell around laughing as the memories of that particular incident came rushing back.

“It was Steve, but you know what?” Lisa roared laughing. “Nick is so much bigger than a vodka bottle.” She fell off the seat and they laughed louder.

A few glasses of wine later and all they were fit for was bed.

Sam was at her desk all morning and she was due to attend the opening of an artist friend of Edmund

s. She told Edmund after she came back from Crete that she wouldn’t be taking on any more responsibilities at the gallery because she wanted to be ready to move to LA in six weeks. He agreed but almost begging her he asked her just to organize this opening that was almost a month ago.

When she got up this morning she felt a bit off colour but she put it down to too much work and the stress of her upcoming move.

She called her secretary and asked her to bring some tea, she smiled at her. In the two years that she had been here she enjoyed every moment and she would miss it.

Taking a sip from the tea did nothing to settle her stomach, it was in bits.

The rest of the day wasn

t much better. She left half an hour earlier promising Edmund she would be back by seven. She got a taxi to her apartment and had barely made it to the door when she felt like throwing up.
