Lisa opened his shirt buttons carefully, purposefully as she traced a line down his smooth bare chest. She pushed his shirt off his shoulders and kissed his chest.

Jay lifted her up in his arms and brought her back to the sofa and gently put her down on it. Her arms around his neck, she kissed him passionately. He ripped off her thong and covered her with his hard body.

He knew his feelings for Sam were preventing him from banging her but he couldn’t help himself right now. He wanted to fuck her and she was willing. A picture of Sam and his daughter flashed before him. Jay closed his eyes against the image as he felt Lisa pull off his jeans. He was hard and he was ready to enter her, ferociously. She put her hand on his maleness pulling him off and rubbing her thigh against him. Jay smiled at her. She was very attractive.

“Lisa, babe, I would love to fuck you. But I don’t have any condoms.” Lisa smiled up at him. She kissed him. “Lisa, no...I can’t not without a condom…I’ve never fucked anyone without one.” He kissed her and slid two fingers inside her. She moaned as his tongue probed hers.

The sound of his cell phone broke the moment. She grabbed his hand but he was stronger than she was.

He answered the phone:

“Hey Darlin, how’s my princess?”  Lisa sat up, threw her legs over the sofa and stood up. She glared at him as she passed. He was a good actor.

She was smoking a cigarette when he came into the kitchen. His jeans were on but he wasn’t wearing his shirt. He looked so damn hot.

“Babe, it’s for the best you know.” He said. She offered him a cigarette but he smiled and shook his head. Jay went over to her. She was still naked. She knew she looked good. She let him take her in his arms. He kissed her lightly on the forehead. Then he released her.

“Jay.” She said softly. “What happens now?” He went into the lounge and picked up his shirt. And as he buttoned it up he smiled at her.

“Lisa, we both are involved with other people.” He zipped up his jeans and picked up his jacket. “I love Sam and I think you love Nick.” He took her hand in his and kissed it gently.

“I have feelings for him but I don’t love him and he certainly doesn’t love me.” She said bitterly. He kissed her hand.

“Lisa, in his own way he cares.” Lisa could see why Sam had fallen hard for him. Besides being so damn attractive, he was very caring too. She was jealous. “I love Sam and I love Jaime. If I didn’t have either I might have been with you.” It was the way he said that, which hurt her the most. It was at that moment, Lisa knew, all she ever would be to him was a bit on the side. He’d fuck her and go home to Sam.

“Jay, you’re not that special.” She pulled away from him and inhaled deeply on the cigarette. “I pity Sam; poor dumb bitch doesn’t realize what a bastard you really are.” Jay looked at her, pityingly. She turned her head away. She didn’t want him to see her tears. Violently she stubbed out her cigarette.

“Lisa, if I hurt you, I didn’t mean to. But you must understand I’m not free to be with you.” She wiped her eye with her thumb.

“Don’t flatter yourself. But I would think of a good reason why you were here having sex with me while Sam was at the hospital with your daughter.” He took two strides over to her and turned her around to face him.

“You bitch; I didn’t have sex with you.” He caught her chin turned it up so she was looking at him. “You tell her anything that happened here and you see all this, you’ll be selling your body to try and pay the rent.” He pushed her aside and strode over to the door.

“I’ll call her as soon as you leave.” Jay looked at her, all the tenderness of earlier gone. Instead, there was hatred in his eyes.

“You think she’ll believe you? After the way you deserted her? Lisa, you ever breathe a word of this to Nick or Sam.” He scowled at her. “You’ll end up alone and the millionaire lifestyle you’ve grown fond of will be gone. Even a bitch like you won’t throw that away.” He opened the door and left and banged it hard behind him. She swore and began to cry. Her life had fallen apart.

Outside on the street, Jay took a deep breath.
Damn the bitch.
He had had women like her before, he thought to himself. He crossed the road and put on his shades.

In the hospital, he smiled at the nurses as he went to the room that had been his daughter’s nursery since she was born.

Sam was holding Jaime when he came in. She was smiling as he gave her a kiss and took his daughter in his arms. She was tiny but she was stronger. A wave of emotion swept over him as he kissed the tiny baby in his arms.

“Jay, she’s coming home with us today.” Sam whispered excitedly. He took off his glasses and pulled Sam close. He loved her so damn much. He felt guilty for nearly banging Lisa.

“So we can leave for LA?” He said sharply. Sam looked at him. He seemed on edge.

“I think so. The doctor will be here soon.” He put Jaime back in her crib and put his arm around Sam. When they returned to LA, he would get back to his life and they could become a family.

“Are you ok Jay? You seem a little edgy.” He smiled at her.

“Darlin, I have to get home. This damn climate is depressing.” He laughed. Sam’s phone rang. She answered it.

“Hi Li, what’s up?” He moved away from her and picked up his daughter again. He wasn’t going to let that gold digging tramp ruin his life with Sam. He’d kill her first.

“Yes, Jay is here, looking so handsome and proud of his beautiful daughter.” He smiled at her. She would never find out about this.

“Lisa, I’d better go, will you join us for dinner tonight?” Jay was shaking his head. She looked at him quizzically. “Ok, another time then. Good bye.”  She hung up.

“Babe, I want just the three of us together tonight. And,” he smiled at her. “When you put Jaime to bed, I will make love to you and drive you crazy until you moan in that cute way of yours.” She blushed as the doctor came in. She had heard what Jay said. But he didn’t seem to care.

“This beautiful young lady can go home today.”  She smiled at the baby, “She is amazing.” The doctor looked at Jay and Sam, they were lucky that their child was strong but she doubted that they as a couple were the same.

“Can she fly home to LA soon?” Jay asked. He didn’t want to stay here any longer than was necessary. The doctor nodded and said.

“Give it about a week. Get her used to being outside of this place.” She touched both their backs fondly. She liked both of them and it was at times like this that she was happy being a doctor.

Chapter Twenty Nine

As Jay closed the door behind them in the cottage, Jaime stirred and made a half hearted attempt to cry but changed her mind and went back to sleep. Sam smiled at her. She was so beautiful with her dark hair and her piercing blue eyes. She was an exact replica of Jay. With his easy going personality as well.

He poured her some coffee and went to sit by the fire. He couldn’t believe how bloody stupid he had almost been. He put the thought to the back of his mind. He would hire a private jet and take his family home to LA. Knowing how Nick went through groupies, Lisa would be a distant memory for all of them. Thankfully she and Sam didn’t really seem as close as they were when he first met them.

“What?” He looked at Sam; he hadn’t heard what she said. She laughed.

“I asked you if you wanted to go have a shower and I’ll cook dinner.” He needed to wash every trace of that bitch off him. He stood up and went over to Sam, pulled her into his arms and kissed her passionately.

“I love you so much.” He said as he touched her hair gently. “I’ll have a quick shower and cook dinner when I come out.” She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck.

“I am so happy Jay, we are a family now.” Tears stung her eyes. She loved them both so much. Jay was so good to her. He pampered her shamelessly.

Ten minutes later, he was preparing dinner. He insisted Sam go for a soak in the tub. Something in which, she didn’t need to be coaxed into.

Jay opened a bottle of wine. He needed a drink right now. The phone rang. He answered it.

“Yeah!” He said as he diced away at a red pepper. It was Lisa.

“Jay… don’t hang up.” She sounded like she had been crying. “I’m sorry about earlier. I don’t know what came over me.” He didn’t answer. “Jay, please…let’s be friends. I don’t want this to be awkward between any of us.” He sighed. Maybe he was being a sucker but after next weekend he wouldn’t have to see her again. He’d be touring most of the time anyway and he knew Sam would be busy getting her gallery ready for opening.

“Sure, let’s just forget the whole thing, Lisa. No harm done.” He said coldly. He guessed she was smiling for he heard a slight giggle. As he hung up Sam came into the kitchen.

“Who was that?” She asked as she put a pepper into her mouth.

“That sexy, was Lisa.” He continued chopping. “She wanted to know if Jaime was home.” He couldn’t hurt Sam by telling her, what a low down piece of trash both he and Lisa were.

Jay poured her a glass of wine and half filled a glass for himself. Sam looked at him as he took a sip. He laughed. “Hey, I was in rehab for drug addiction not alcohol.” She smiled. Jay knew he was in danger of slipping again. But right at that moment he didn’t care.

Two weeks later, Jay was carrying his daughter through the front door of her new home. In a week or so when they were all settled in, he would show off Jaime to the world. He was delighted to be back in LA.

He sat down on the wicker chair on the verandah with the baby still in his arms. A sigh of relief escaped. Jaime opened her eyes and yawned loudly. Jay laughed. It was good to be home.

Before they left London, Jay had organized for Tammy to hire a nanny for Jaime, so Sam could start on her gallery. She was adamant she wanted to get back working as soon as possible. And to argue with her was futile, as he discovered in the past just how headstrong she really was.

He had lined up a few potential premises for her to view. Jay knew just how important Sam’s work was to her but he also knew that she was new to LA and all the help he could give, however subtle it was, she would need. Los Angeles was ripe with promise and the rewards when it went right for one were enormous but consequently when it went wrong and one fell from grace, it was unforgiving.

Sam handed him a glass of cola. She smiled as she took in the scene before her; both of them, her fiancé and her daughter sitting in the shade looking down to the pool. A shiver went down her spine as she glanced at the hot tub beyond and remembered the hot passionate lovemaking they had enjoyed there. A wave of longing swept through her as she sat beside him and laid her head on his shoulder. She was in heaven.

“The new nanny will be here at three sharp and you can rest for the remainder of the evening. I have to go to the studio.” She sat up straight. Sam had no idea that Jay would be going back into the studio the moment they came home. Seeing her expression, he smiled. “Sam, I have missed several tour dates and a recording session, the album should have been released months ago.” She took a deep breath, of course he had commitments to the band but she had hoped to have him to herself a while longer.

“When do you start the tour?” She asked.
