“You were on the couch tonight, anyway,” he said. “I missed my bed last night. That's why I couldn't sleep.”
“Don't lie. You couldn't sleep, because you were thinking about Scorpio.”
As was his a habit, he ignored me. I smiled and watched him down three pain pills before heading off to his room for bed.
Getting comfortable in the enclosed patio, I chilled on the chaise and watched TV for at least another hour. When I was ready to turn in, I slipped into my popping peach silk nightgown. I headed back to Shane's room and could already hear him lightly snoring. I stood in the doorway, watching his muscular chest heave up and down. He was down to his jockey shorts, and his hand was right on top of his dick. The light was on, so I quietly made my way over to it, turning it off. I stood for a moment to see if he'd move, but he was out. I moved his hand away from his goods, and his hand limply dropped by his side.
Knowing that he was out of it from the pain pills he'd taken, I pulled my nightgown over my head, and naked, I straddled him. He swallowed and moved his head to the other side. Other than that, he lay motionless. His snores got louder, and finally I was ready to go where I wanted. I wanted to taste him, but I knew time wasn't on my side. First, I had to get him inside of me, and then maybe I'd have a chance to taste him later. With that in mind, I reached down and slowly removed his dick from the slit in his shorts. It was rather limp, but I came prepared.
Before I entered the room, I'd squeezed some K-Y Jelly in my right hand. I placed it on the tip of his head and worked it down to his shaft. As his dick hardened, I got a grip on his pipe, shining it as best as I could. I could still hear his snores, but when they started to space out, I chilled for a moment. He was still on the rise. To moisten myself even more, I teased my walls with the tip of his thick head. It was time to put up or shut up, so I dropped down on it and kept myself still.
Instantly, his snoring stopped, but even in the dim room, I could see that his eyes were still closed. I was anxious to make another move, but before I did, I waited until his snores were back again. I started riding him in slow motion, but when it got good to me, I put an arch in my back, speeding up the pace. When I felt him starting to pump inside of me, I was on fire! My pussy must have been satisfying to him, because he tightly gripped my hips and made a sizzling sound with his mouth. I sucked in my bottom lip and wanted to cry.
“Oh, Shaaane,” I moaned. “I missed this dick. Why does it feel so delightful to me?”
Not a moment later, his movements stopped, and maybe it was in my best interest to keep quiet. He felt my hips and ass, and when he snatched his hands away, the lights came on. He blinked several times and widened his eyes as if he'd seen a ghost. Then his entire body tightened up.
“Get the fuck up off me!” he yelled. I didn't move fast enough, so he pushed me over to the side—but not before his juices caught me between the legs and seeped out on his hand while he held his pipe tight.
“Damn,” he shouted. “What in the hell is wrong with you!” His face showed a serious frown, and he hurried out of bed. He went into the bathroom and wet a towel to wipe off his dick and shorts. He stood in the bathroom doorway, and it looked like steam was coming from his ears.
“You need to get your things and go,” he ordered.
“I don't understand why you're so upset with me. It's not like we haven't had sex before. It was bound to happen again. You can't tell me that you didn't enjoy yourself, after shooting off like that.”
He came into the bedroom and grabbed me by my arm. He pulled me from the bed and shoved me toward the door.
“Get out of here before I hurt you, Felicia.”
I stood teary-eyed near the door. “I'm confused. What was so wrong with me wanting to have sex with you? I don't want to leave. I don't have anywhere to go. I'm sorry.”
He came face-to-face with me and yelled, “What was so wrong with it? You know what was so wrong with it, Felicia! I didn't want to have sex with you! If I had wanted to, I would have asked! Besides that, I'm in love with somebody, stupid ass! And if she ever finds out what happened here tonight, I swear it's all over for you!”
He pushed me away from the door and almost knocked me on my ass. Wearing only his jockey shorts, he left and slammed the front door behind him.
SHANE

Rapper 50 Cent said it best. “When it rains, it pours.” All kinds of crazy shit was going on, but I can't say that I had anyone other than myself to blame. I had opened up my home to Felicia, and it was obvious that protection was the last thing on her mind. She wanted to get fucked, and I couldn't believe she came into my bedroom and took what she wanted. I was so tired and out of it that when I felt myself fucking, I thought I was dreaming. I just knew I was inside of Scorpio, until I heard Felicia's voice and felt her hips and ass. They weren't thick like my baby's, so I knew something wasn't right. And by the time reality kicked in, I could feel the pussy just wasn't right. By then, though, it was too late. I'd busted one, and I knew some of my shit had gone inside of her. I tried like hell to get her off me, because I felt it coming.
Damn!
She gave me that extra stroke, even after I told her to get up. That, in itself, did it for me. It wasn't much sperm that shot in her, but possibly, it was enough.
Fuck!
I thought while parked in the garage at Davenports. My mind kept on wandering. And then for her to throw that pussy on me without protection? How could she? She'd been fucking Stephon, ole crack-whack-ass, and ain't no telling who he'd been fucking. I couldn't stop shaking my head and sat in the car for at least two hours, thinking about where in the hell I went wrong.
By now, it was almost 5:00
A.M.
The only reason I'd come to Davenports was that I had some workout attire locked up in a locker room in the basement of the building. I'd planned on putting on those clothes, but I couldn't get out of the car to do nothing. I looked over at my cell phone, which lay on the seat, and picked it up. Scorpio hadn't called me at home or on my cell, so I guess she was pretty upset with me. Normally, we would've made up by now, but she was probably kicking it with the mailman. Who knows? I remember Jay told me when they broke up, she ran off to Denver and fucked the exterminator. She got pregnant, and I couldn't remember if the baby was Jay's or not. Then, just months ago, when we had our disagreement, she ran right to Maxwell. She insisted she didn't fuck him, but a part of me knew better. I knew that if we didn't work our problems out, and soon, it was only a matter of time before she'd be in somebody else's arms.
With that in mind, I dialed out and called Jay. He'd been calling the house like crazy; and since our last conversation didn't go so well, I knew it was time for us to talk. As usual, on the first ring, he answered. I heard a few coughs, and then he said hello.
“Are you sick, too?” I asked.
“Naw, fool,” he said in a scraggly voice. “I'm just pretending to be.” He coughed again.
“It sounds like you need a doctor.”
“To me, it sounds like you needed to be returning my motherfuckin' phone calls. What you want a nigga to do? Kiss your ass or something?”
“I was gon' call yo' ole punk-ass back. Shit got kind of hectic, and I didn't want to hear your mouth.”
“Well, why you calling me this early in the morning, then?”
“Because I figured your ole non-sleeping punk-ass would be up.”
“You damn right I'm up. Been up for quite some time now playing with my dick. Nokea kicked me out of the room 'cause I'm sick, and now her and Jaylene healthy selves in there sleep. I doctored Jaylene back to good health, and this is how she repaid me.”
I laughed. “Poor, Jaylin. I feel so sorry for you. One night without pussy ain't gon' kill you.”
“Fool, it's been two, going on three, days. I'm about to throw a tantrum!” He coughed and told me to hold on. I heard him thanking somebody in the background, and then he got back on the phone. “Yeah, I'm back. Nanny B just brought me a bowl of chicken noodle soup. I'll be back to good health in no time.”
“You should be ashamed of yourself. Got that woman up this early in the morning, babying your grown-spoiled-ass.”
“And what does yo' mommy do for you when you get sick? She be running over there cooking, cleaning, feeding, and babying your butt up like you ten years old.”
“That's because I'm not married yet.”
“Married or not, she still gon' be doing the same shit, and you gon' let her.”
I laughed because I knew it was true. “Listen,” I said. “Maybe some things that came out of my mouth the other day shouldn't have been said—”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Same here, but ... pat a nigga on the back, let's squash it and we cool. I was out of line, too.”
“Very.”
“Okay, nigga, then very out of line. Get over it.”
“I'm working on it. But in the meantime, you know I got my ass kicked, right?”
“Man, who done fucked you up?”
“Your playa-hating-ass cousin, Stephon.”
“You mean to tell me you could not kick Stephon's ass? Hell, I could do that. As a matter of fact, I could've come there and done it for you.”
“Now, you know if I wasn't tripping like I was, you would've had to come here and bury that fool,” I said. “He played me, man. I went to go see him, and he was calm and collected. Talked about getting himself together and damn near thanked me for being concerned. Then, all of a sudden, as I was leaving, he head butted me, punched me several times, and uppercut my ass. I got stitches underneath my chin and everything.”
Jaylin's voice sounded serious. “You bullshitting me, right?”
“I wish I was. Man, I was out. That nigga had some power behind them punches, and I tried hard to catch his ass. He bolted like lightning and jetted.”
“So, you didn't get in not one punch?”
“Nothing.”
“Shane, I'm disappointed. I was hoping you'd fuck that fool up! He needs to be taught a lesson, and I can't—”
“There's a time for everything, Jay. I'm just letting the dust settle, and I'm sure that after I shot up his motherfuckin' shop, this ain't over until the fat lady sings.”
Jaylin laughed. “Right, right. So, uh, you shot up the place?”
“Sure did?”
“How bad?”
“Real bad. So bad that I emptied the clip and reloaded.”
“That's what that cocksucker gets! You know how much he loves that shop, don't you?”
“You damn right I do. That's why I did it. It gave me some kind of satisfaction, especially after what he did to me.”
“So ... I guess what Felicia said was true about him?”
“Man, don't talk to me about Felicia right now. She done broke up me and Scorpio, and called herself raping my ass earlier. I'm sitting in a parking garage right now because I had to get away from her crazy ass.”
“Hell, naw!” Jaylin yelled into the phone. He laughed. “She did what!”
“Man, all I know is, I was fucking the bitch in my sleep. I woke up, turned on the lights, and got the shock of my life. She was riding my dick like a champ.”
“Did you bust a nut?”
“What you think?”
“Shit, I don't know. I ain't never had no shit like that happen to me. If I ever wake up and a woman riding me, I'm gon' pretend to take my ass back to sleep and let her finish.”
“A married man and all, huh?”
“I ain't speaking from that point of view right now. All I'm saying, it would be very hard to stop in the middle of something like that. If you didn't bust one, I don't know how in the hell you prevented yourself from doing it.”
“Well, something came out. And I for damn sure had no control over where it ended up.”
“Damn! All I can say is your future is looking pretty dim. Felicia will be claiming she's pregnant, she gon' want to get back with your ass, and by the end of the day today, I bet Scorpio will know what the hell happened. Now would be the perfect time for you to make your move this way. Things are bound to get ugly.”
“Fool, I ain't running from nobody. Felicia needs me right now, and she ain't about to do nothing that stupid. As for Scorpio, technically, we were broken up, anyway.”
“Shane, don't fool yourself. Felicia is a snake that's looking for the right time to bite. And Scorpio ain't gon' buy that ‘we were broken up' bullshit. She will smooth your ass over, make you think she's forgiven you, and drop those panties for somebody else.”
“Thanks, Jay. You really got me feeling real good right now. I've been thinking about this move, but no decisions have been made yet. The way things going, you might be right. Either way, I'll let you know soon.”
“Peace, my brotha. And be sure to keep me posted.”
“Fa' sho'.”
“And, Shane.”
“What?”
“Go get yourself checked out. That ho Felicia nasty. Dog, she nasty.”
“Like I don't know that. Thanks again for the extra worries.”
Jaylin's and my conversation ended on that note. I searched for pedestrians in the parking garage, and not seeing any, I got out of my car. My jockey shorts could've easily been some workout shorts, so I jogged over to the elevator and pretended to be working out. When the elevator opened, no one was on it and I was glad. I pushed the down button, but instead, the elevator car went up to the lobby. The doors opened, and three white women and one black woman entered the elevator, glancing at me. I folded my arms, and they eyeballed each other with grins. One of the white ladies pushed the button for the third floor and the black lady pushed the one for the eleventh floor. From the corner of their eyes, they all observed me. And when the white ladies stepped off at the third floor, they waved good-bye and giggled. The black lady shook her head, and the elevator closed. She turned to me.
“Is there any reason why you're on this elevator with your underwear on?”
“I've been working out this morning. I was on my way downstairs to the gym, but the elevator went the wrong way.”
“Oh,” she said, dropping her eyes below my waist. When the doors opened on the eleventh floor, she stepped out and held them open. “Keep up the good work,” she whispered.
I chuckled. “I will.”
She let go of the doors and I held the CLOSE DOOR button to keep the doors closed all the way to the basement. When I got off, I went to my locker, put on my clothes, and headed back upstairs to Davenports. I thought I could get a good nap in, but when I walked in and saw how messed up the place was, I picked up the phone to call the police. I quickly changed my mind because I wasn't sure if there was a warrant out for my arrest for damaging Stephon's place. Instead, I started picking up papers that were scattered on the floor. Most of Felicia's designs had been destroyed, and both office windows had been cracked. No doubt, Felicia's office had been damaged the most. Her leather chair was slashed, her desk had been turned over, and the pictures on her credenza were cut into pieces. Somebody had too much time on their hands. If Stephon didn't do it himself, he definitely had the money to pay somebody to do it for him. I didn't want anybody to see me hanging around, so I jetted.
When I got back to my place, I wasn't thrilled about seeing Felicia, but it was time for her to take some kind of action against Stephon. Besides that, I wanted her out of my house
t-o-d-a-y.
When I got inside, I thought she might be up. Instead, she was still lying naked in my bed, fast asleep. I called her name twice, but she didn't wake up. When I called it loudly again, she jumped as if I had startled her. She reached for the sheets to cover herself up.
“I have a headache, and if you came in here to yell at me about what I did, I really don't care to hear it.”
I sat on the edge of my bed. “We're going to discuss what you did to me later. For now, I want you to put on some clothes and go to the police station to report what Stephon did to you. Then you need to go get a restraining order and see if you can get some kind of police protection. Lastly, I have to ask you to leave. You were out of line for doing what you did, and even though I might not appear to be, I'm damn mad about it. I'm just trying to be nice because you have a more serious problem on your hands. Davenports is a mess. I just left there, and it looks as if Stephon sent somebody out to get you.”
Felicia covered her mouth with her hands. “Is it really that bad, Shane? What about my de—”
“It's pretty bad. When you go there, take the police with you. I would go, but I think I might already be in trouble with the police.”
Felicia took the covers off her and reached for her nightgown. She slid it over her head, and for the first time, she didn't give me any back talk. Actually, she looked worried, and I left the room so she could get dressed.
Minutes later, Felicia came into my office, where I was holed up. She was casually dressed in a pair of black pants and a silver blouse. Her braids were pulled back into a ponytail, and she didn't have on any makeup.
