Destined to Succeed (6 page)

To say that Cade looked shocked would be a massive understatement. All of the color had drained out of his face and he looked like he was gonna pass out on me.

“You all right?” I asked as I placed my hand on his firm bicep. I gulped as I felt his muscle straining under my grip.

“You’re gonna give it up to Branch? Are you fuckin’ serious, right now?” Well, at least the color was coming back. He was turning a fine shade of purple. He was royally pissed.

“I might, so what? I like him. He likes me. Seems like a win-win to me.” I was acting like it was no big deal. I didn’t want Cade to see how scared I was and how much I wanted him to be my first. I didn’t want him to know that I thought about him that way. That would absolutely kill me. I would die of embarrassment.

He grabbed me by the shoulders and fixed those smoldering eyes on me. “Not him, okay? Just…not him.”

I didn’t agree or disagree. I just shook free of his grasp and asked, “You wanna a glass of tea before you head home?”

He shook his head, jumped off the porch, and headed down the lane to his house. I watched him kick up dirt all the way down the lane.
Cade~

What the fuck was Suzy Q talking about? She was gonna have sex with that asshole punk Branch? Are you fuckin’ kidding me? He had already screwed almost every girl in our class. How could she want him to do that to her?

She was so sweet and pure and he was so not good enough for my girl. Well, not
my
girl, but my Suzy Q. She was my best friend. I had missed out on being her first kiss. That fucker Branch had beaten me to it, and now he was gonna be her first?

It wasn’t like I hadn’t had plenty of opportunities to have sex. Anna had given me a few blow jobs that had blown my damn mind, but I just couldn’t do that with her. It seemed wrong. But you know what, if Suzy Q was gonna give it up to Branch, maybe I would finally just do it with Anna tonight. She’d be easy and as crazy as she was, I was sure she’d be a hell of a lot of fun.

I don’t know what had me so damn riled up. Me and Suzy Q weren’t like that. That was it. My mind was made up. I was gonna have sex with Anna tonight.

I decided to go get ready for the party. I took a shower, shaved, and put on a little cologne.

“Whatcha gettin' all pretty'd up for, son?" I heard my mom ask as she walked around the corner into my room. "Got a hot date tonight?"

"Well, of course he does, Candy. That boy's a Walker. We always have the prettiest gal on our arm," my dad chuckled as he came up behind Mom and put his arms around her waist, nuzzling down into her neck. They were so much in love. I had always thought it was a little gross. I mean these were my parents that were makin’ out every time I turned around. I couldn't even count the number of times I'd walked in on them in compromisin’ positions all over the damn ranch - in positions I did not need to catch my parents in.

My dad was a slightly bigger version of me - blonde hair, green eyes, and lots of muscles. Mom was beautiful. She had blonde hair and big blue eyes. She was always happy. I never knew a moment in my life that my mom wasn't smilin'. And her smile wasn't just a smile, that smile spread through her entire body. She was just...happy.

"I'm goin' to a party at Branch Johnson's house," I answered, buttonin’ up my green plaid shirt.

"His parents’ home, son?" my dad asked with a grin that I was pretty sure my mom wasn't supposed to see.

"I think so, Dad. I didn't really ask." We shared a little knowing look. We both knew damn well that his parents weren’t gonna be home. But my dad was cool.

"Who ya takin' with ya? Suzanna?" My mom asked with a glint of hope in her eye. I think she always planned on me and Suzy Q being more than friends, but that wasn't in the cards for us.

"No, mom. I'm takin' Anna McIntire with me."

"Wow, son. Good job." My dad started to high-five me, but he stopped when my mom elbowed him in the ribs.

"Cody Walker, don't you dare disrespect that girl and you better not either, Cade Allen Walker. I raised you to treat a lady right, and I better not hear any different.”

"Of course not, Mom." My mom had preached at me since I was a kid "Always treat a lady the way you would want your mom to be treated". Well, to be honest with ya, I didn't really want to think about my mom having sex. I could still treat a lady with respect and screw her, right? Well, I'd make sure to try my damnedest.

My mom gave me a little kiss on the cheek before she lugged my dad out of the room. I pulled on my nicest pair of Ariat boots and grabbed my white Stetson hat as I headed out the door.

Anna lived smack dab in the middle of town. Her parents were pretty well to do. Her dad had been the Mayor of Dexter for several years and before that his dad was Mayor and before that his grandpa was Mayor. It was a bona fide family tradition. Anna’s mom was the president of the PTA and every other damn organization in town. They were the upper-crust of our little town.

Anna’s house looked like a big ole plantation house. It was stinkin’ huge. I mean, Walker Ranch was big. We had an awfully big home, but you could pick it up and set it in the living room of Anna’s house. It looked like it belonged in the Deep South. When I pulled up to her house she was waitin’ for me, sittin’ on the huge wrap-around porch. She had on the tiniest white lace dress I’d ever seen.

Anna was really pretty, if you could look past the crazy, which I was gonna do tonight. The goal for tonight was to get laid. And she could definitely help me accomplish that.

Anna had bouncy, blonde curls, and her body was smokin' hot. Big tits, perfect round ass, and those damn legs -
Whew!
Her boobs were poppin' out of the front of her dress and when she bent over to pick up her purse, I could see all the way up her dress to her pretty, lacy, white panties. Holy hell! I was so gonna play with that ass tonight.

"Hey baby, you're finally here," she purred as she wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me. This time I kissed her back, hard. I pulled her against me and thrust my tongue into her mouth. No more playin', tonight I was gonna get some...finally.

She was pantin’ and looked surprised as hell. I’d never kissed her like that. "That was awesome, baby.” She got this wicked little grin on her face. “Ya know, we don't have to go to the party. My parents aren't home. They won’t be home all night.” She was walkin’ her fingers up and down my chest until her hand caught hold of my belt buckle. “We could stay here and do
other
stuff," she moaned as her little pink tongue slipped out of her mouth and licked her big, luscious, bubble gum flavored lips.

I could do that. We could skip the party. I was just about to pull her into the house and screw her brains out when I remembered Suzy Q. I had to be at the party in case she needed me. I needed to make sure that asshole didn’t take advantage of my girl…uh, my friend.

"Hon, that's quite an offer you're makin', but I think we best go to the party for a bit. Then we can go to my house. My parents were leavin’ when I started over here. They're spendin’ the weekend out of town."

She squealed with delight and pressed her breasts up against my chest. I swear to God I could feel her perky little nipples sayin’ hello through her dress.

We finally made it to the truck and headed over to Branch's house. Branch's daddy was the Chief of Police, so that meant that little asshole could do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, and never get in a lick of trouble. I fuckin' hated that prick.

Their house was just a little smaller than Anna's house. It was red brick and built by some Civil War general back in the day. Hell, I didn't know nothin' ‘bout that shit. All I knew was there was some sorta sign on the front porch sayin' it was an historic landmark or some shit. I just thought it was a big, ugly, old house.

I got outta the truck and walked around and opened the door for Anna. She jumped out into my arms. Her dress was all the way up her hips and I could feel her ass. Damn, this was gonna be an amazin’ night. We spun around a little before I sat her down on the ground. When I looked up, I saw Suzy Q walking up the driveway with Callie.

Suzy Q looked amazin’, but she always did. She just couldn’t help it. She was one of those girls that didn’t need to wear make-up or skanky clothes to look hot. She was just fuckin’ hot.

She had on a short green dress and her long red hair was layin’ in curls down her back. She had a little gold dragonfly clip in her hair. Dragonflies were her favorite. Her entire room was full of dragonflies. Of course, she had on her best brown cowboy boots. That was my girl…I mean not my girl, but my Suzy Q. She was country to the core. She looked so damn hot and she had no fuckin' clue what she was doin' to all the guys standin’ around outside. They all just ‘bout had to pick their tongues up off the ground when she walked by.

She walked up to me, looked at Anna with her normal level of disgust, and asked, "Hey, Cade. Ready to party?" She gave me that playful little grin.

"Ready as I'll ever be, Suzy Q. You have fun tonight, ‘kay?" I leaned in to whisper into her ear, "But not too much fun." When I pulled away from her, she was lookin’ right into my eyes.

"Better heed your own advice there, cowboy." She sneered at me, as she tilted her head toward Anna.

I watched her and Callie walk up the steps into the house.

Anna asked, "We goin' in, babe?" As she placed her hand on my chest, I removed my eyes from Suzy Q’s ass and looked down at Anna’s hand. I removed it from my chest and held it in mine. As we started up the steps of the front porch, I took the red Solo cup out of my cousin Cord's hand and started chuggin’ the beer inside.

"What the hell, man? Get your own damn drink," he yelled at me as he jumped up and tried to grab the cup outta my hand. I had already drunk all of it, so I let him take it.

Cord was a couple years older than me. I knew he'd be here tonight. He dated, well, that's what they called what they did, Branch's older sister Lisbeth. They had an interestin’ relationship. Cord wanted to go to college and be somethin'. He didn't want to work on the family ranch and he didn't want to stay in Dexter. He wanted out and Lisbeth understood that. So they had a different kind of relationship. They had sex. That was about it. They never went out. They spent all of their time together makin’ out or doin' the deed.

Lisbeth was beautiful. She was about a year older than Cord. She had short, straight golden brown hair and the biggest eyes I'd ever seen. They were almost purple. She had a hot rack and her and Cord made a good pair. Cord was a Walker for God’s sake. We all looked alike - tall and muscular. He had light brown hair and big brown eyes. He was a little too pretty, I thought. I gave him hell about it all the time.

When they got together, he explained the situation to her. He wanted sex. That was it. She accepted the conditions and they had been doin' that for at least a year. It seemed to be workin' for them. Cord loved to brag about how hot she was. And everyone thought I was a jerk? Please. Cord was such an ass.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" He sneered at me as he grabbed me by the back of the neck and pulled me across the porch.

"What the fuck, Cord? Get your damn hands off me," I growled back at him.

"Why are you here with that skanky-ass Anna?" he asked in his not-so-quiet voice. I knew Anna heard him, but as much as I wanted to follow my mom's rules, I really didn't care. She was skanky and she drove me crazy hangin' all over me all the time. But tonight was about gettin' laid. That was all.

"I brought her, cuz, because I'm gonna screw her. That's why I'm here with her." I tried to say it in a whisper, but I wasn't sure I succeeded.

"You're an asshole, Cade. What the hell would your mom say if she heard you talkin' about a woman like that?"

"Really? You're gonna talk to me about respectin' a woman? Where's your fuck-buddy at? Lisbeth upstairs waitin' for ya, cuz?" I asked with a snarl as I pushed him up against the ledge that led around the porch.

I grabbed Anna's arm and mumbled, "Come on, I need a drink." She nodded and we headed in the house. When we stepped through the front door, I saw Suzy Q. She was dancin' with Branch. He was all over her. His hands were on her hips and she had her eyes closed and was swayin’ to the music. It looked like she was havin' a hell of a time. It made me sick to my stomach. Branch was not worth her time. Why the hell did she have to like him? I couldn't fuckin' understand it.

I took Anna into the kitchen and we started drinkin'. I was gonna get shit-faced tonight and then get laid. Sounded like the perfect plan to me.

I had several beers and Anna was up on the island in the kitchen dancin' to
Wanted Dead or Alive
. I was more of a country music guy, but you couldn’t go wrong with a little Bon Jovi. She was bumpin' and grindin' and the thought of her doin’ that up against me didn’t sound nearly as annoyin’ as it usually did. I grabbed her and pulled her off the island. I held her hips and pressed her closer to me. Her back was up against my chest and she was rubbin’ all over me. She kept slidin’ up and down and I was gettin’ hard. I leaned forward and bit her earlobe. She squealed. I fuckin’ needed this. I needed to get laid - plain and simple. There was no way in hell Cade Walker was gonna be a virgin by the time this night was through.

"Let's go to your house, now," she whispered in my ear. I nodded and we started to walk to the front door. That's when I saw it. That's when I saw that goddamn Branch jam his tongue down Suzy Q's throat. He wasn't even tryin' to be gentle. She fell back and hit her head on the wall. She grabbed the back of her head as he pushed his whole body against her and pinned her to the wall. He had one hand up her shirt and the other was squeezing her ass.

OH HELL NO!

I barely heard Anna when she yelled, "What are you doin'?" I was too busy pushin’ her out of the way and runnin’ over to Suzy Q.

I grabbed Branch by the hair of his head and snarled, "Get the fuck off of her now!" I punched him in the face and tossed him down to the floor. Little pansy didn't even get up. Blood was runnin’ down his face from his eye. I guess I hit him just right, ‘cause it was really comin’ down.
