Take a 20-minute break every day to lie down and rest your eyes.

CATARACTS

Cataracts are one of the major causes of blindness. You might find that you cannot see well at night even in a well-lit room. You may have difficulty distinguishing different colors. There is a definite loss of vision clarity and images appear blurry. The eye lens, which is supposed to be clear becomes clouded over, leaving an opaque layer on the eye.

CAUSES MAY INCLUDE

Hereditary problems.

Ageing.

Liver weaknesses.

Deficiency of vitamin B

Steroidal use.

Reading in poor light.

Poor diet.

Lack of antioxidants.

Diabetes.

Smoking.

Too much direct sunlight exposure and not wearing UV filtering sunglasses.

Action plan

See your optometrist on a regular basis for this serious condition. The following may help as a support to conventional treatment.
